@Marisa Kirisame thank you for your post, which technically explains what I wanted to say. Just because they give the engine a new name does not mean it's a new engine. Yes it would be nice if they would use easily understandable version numbers, but if they did that it would let us all know that it's the same damn engine with basically the same capabilities and LIMITS of the original engine with just a little bit of inconsequential "extra" silly puttied on. When they give it a new name they shadily (fake word) hide that FACT.
Fankly, im getting sick of it. Making people pay premium dollars for regurgitated crap. I'm sorry; it's not their fault. They aren't "making" anyone buy it. They just advertise it in such a way that you HAVE to research the product as if it is some sort of class action lawsuit to get the truth.. /rant
My opinion on 1 other thing. Bethesda games (fallouts, Elder scrolls*.*) are unique in that they typically "eventually" make tools available to mod their product. In a sense giving you complete ownership of the game in a way no other game company does. The ability to completely rework the game however you want. Name another company that does that. People still play skyrim, a lot of people. And even oblivion and FO:3/NV. How many other games can you say that you spent $40 - $80 on and get the longevity and entertainment value that you get out of a Bethesda game?
Now im sure beth's business model allows them to save tons of money in the process of developing games this way (making a base game, sell/release it, relying on modders to provide the rest of the content, create more profit releasing a few expansions/add-ons) BUT, at least make a marginally "closer to finished" product. Thats not an unreasonable request. Modders shouldn't have to spent so much time fixing actual bugs and broken mechanics before focusing on more aesthetic, cosmetic projects. Pretty inexcusable in my book... forreal/rant.
