I need some help. You see, I  use the deviously cursed loot mod, and I am stuck in the "Damsel in Distress" quest line. I need to get the leather bindings off, but I don;t know how. It says I need something sharp, but which sharp item do I use, and where do I find it? How do I use it? If you could reply, I would be very thankful. 

I DID IT! I HAVE NO NEED OF A FULL UNINSTALL, THANK THE GODS!!! I was looking at similar problems from other people on other sites when I found the golden egg; Someone else who had the same exact problems with the same exact mods, that I once had, uninstalled.   These mods(sexlab related), when uninstalled, left certain animation files in the behavior folders of certain creatures, such as the Draugr or Bear. By getting rid of every single one of these files(A very long process), the animation for the creatures are now back, and I now do not have to worry about those T poses.   You can also fix the animations by reinstalling these sexlab mods, and it is quicker to do, and has a much lesser chance to mess up, if done correctly.   The animations are now perfect. Now I will now definitely move to Mod Organizer. I just tried it. It works so much better than Nexus MM.   Thanks a lot for coming to my rescue Anatriax. You quite literally saved my Skyrim Game and Skyrim experience.   And with that, I bid you farewell. I did it, and I didn't even have to do a full uninstall/reinstall. You see, I went online to find other people with the same problem, and I did. These people downloaded and eventually uninstalled the sexlab mods, just like me. These mods, when uninstalled, mess with the animations with the creatures of the game, making them T pose. By installing these mods, all the T pose problems are now fixed.   Thanks for coming to my rescue Anatriax. You quite literally saved my Skyrim game/experience. And with that, I bid you farewell.

I have a fairly large problem. Or at least that's what I think. It may be very simple, I just don't know. My Skyrim launcher has stopped working. It keeps saying there is a problem, then I have to cancel. Even TESV doesn't work. My SKSE program does work, and launches the game, but all the animals and undead draugr are stuck in their own versions of a T pose, and never attack. Plus, I can't do the vanilla start because the wagons don't work. They just sit there, making noise, yet never moving. I need a solution to these three problems, or I won't be able to play my game.   These are my following mods:   FNIS Behaviors + Creatures Callentines Beautiful Bodies Alternate Start -  Live Another Life Fuz Ro D-oh -  SIlent Voice Rave Menu v. 3.2.2 Sky UI Unofficial Skyrim/Dawnguard/Hearthfire/Dragonborn Patches The Eyes of Beauty   These are all my mods. The only ones that I think an be causing two of the problems(tpose and wagons) would be FNIS, but uninstalling them doesn't work. I have uninstalled all of these mods, and It still acts strange. My vanilla Skyrim Launcher doesn't have to work as long as the SKSE launcher does. So please, If any of you have a solution to any of these problems, tell me.

To keep it short and simple, I will just outright say my problem. All animals and undead(possibly Falmer as well) are stuck in T poses, never moving when I come near, never attacking, yet they acknowledge my presence by growling.   I have uninstalled and reinstalled every single mod of mine, and that hasn't worked. I have systematically gotten rid of every mod, and deleted all found trace in my Skyrim Folder. I never mess with my .ini or .dll files, or any other type. I always use my Nexus MM.   I use FNIS. I use SKSE.   I need help to fix this problem. Otherwise, I doubt my game will really be worth playing.    

Anyone there? Hello?  

Yeah, It was a thought I've had many times too. But, unfortunately, as many times as I had uninstalled and reinstalled all of the mods I have, nothing changes. The enemies all stay the same.

Holy S**t. For some random reason  unknown to me, my original skyrim launcher started working. Maybe it was 'cause of the backup I just made, and started using that version instead of the one it generally uses. But I still have the same problem T pose undead/animal problem(I think the Falmer and creatures alike may be affected as well), even with every single mod installed. There may still be traces of them left in the data files. I wonder if deleting them may work, and if not that, then I must be missing some animation files in my Skyrim folder. If so, how the hell would I get them back?

Thanks for the uninstall information. Yes, I do have the Pre cache  Killer, but not the other two. I will check those out. And yes, I know the .ini and .dll files can cause problems, I bet any file can, I just never tweak, add, or remove them. I never touch them.    In the grand scheme of things, I don't need my original Skyrim launcher to work. That's why I have SKSE. I don't need the original beginning. That's why I have Alternate Start. But what I do need though, are my monsters to stop with their T poses; every other NPC doesn't have this problem.   So, are there any mods that COMPLETELY replace ALL animations of the animals and undead creatures of my game? If there is, and they start acting/using those animations instead of the original animations, I can play normally again. I wouldn't have to find the source of the problem.

Ok. I don't need a guide on how tweak my skyrim game or how to mod it. That stuff is easy, and I stay away from stuff that is too complicated to get. I don't need complexity, I just like it easy and simple. What I need is a surefire way of getting my game fixed, and I would prefer help and advice who has had  the same or a similar problem as mine, and has fixed it. No offense to your guide; I learned a few cool tricks from it, but in the grand scheme of things, I don't see how that relates to my problem at hand. You see, I have never messed with my .ini files, or .dll files. There is no way they can be a part of my problem.   Or, better yet, are there any mods out there that can fully replace all the animations of all the animals/undead(like wolves and draugr/skeletons). I can live without the wagons moving. I just use Alternate Start - Live Another Life. I just want the animations to start working again.

Oh, do not worry about my experience with modding. I have been doing it for around 2 years now. Strangely enough, I have never had a problem as big as this until now. The only reason why I don't know certain things is because, in my modding experience, I have never encountered certain things.   As for the T pose problem, I always run my FNIS before I play. Its a routine/habit I have gotten. I have also gotten rid of all my other animation mods, and have even uninstalled FNIS, but it all has no effect.   I dont need my original skyrim launcher to work, though it would be nice if I coud that fixed. The main problems are the T poses and the unmoving "intro to skyrim" wagons. If I can get those fixed, i would be fine.

I us e a mod manager, Nexus Mod Manager to be exact. I never install manually. It always goes through my nexus mm. As for .ini files, I have no idea what they are. Should I set them to read only, and If I do, where can I find them?

This is by far the biggest problem I have ever had with Skyrim. I finally decided to get rid of every single mod I have and just play original Skyrim(with all the official DLC and updates of course), but my launcher has stopped working completely, and will not load my game. The exact words I see when I click "play" on the Steam menu are "The Skyrim Launcher has stopped working". I am utterly stuck.   I have no mods, this game has been in my computer forever, I have not downloaded anything at all recently into my computer or steam related. I have looked on other sites for some info/help on the matter and can't seem to find any real version of either.   It won't start at all, and when I attempt to start, nothing else is running.   I have windows 8, the most recent version.   I honestly have no idea what to do. If I don't get this fixed, I will never be able to play my Skyrim game again. I mean, SKSE does work, kind of, but all the undead enemies and conjured up thralls do not work, and just stand their, T posed, while everyone else in the game is unaffected. Running FNIS doesn't work, and uninstalling has no affect. If anyone has any idea to solve either or both problems, please help. 

Nope. I deleted everything that is not an official addon or important for Skyrim. My data files are completely clean of all the old rubble in there.   Question: How do you uninstall and reinstall a steam app such a Skyrim, and where do I go to do it?     ...Wow. Even TESV doesn't work. WTF is wrong with my game. "Skyrim Launcher has stopped working". Anyone else having or had the same problem as me?

I am currently having a problem with the SKSE and AVG. I mod my Skyrim game heavily, and without SKSE, obviously none of those mods will work. And for the past year, I have gone smoothly through my modding experience with barely any bumps or bad things happening. Until now, unfortunately.   All of a suddenly my computer protection program, called AVG, has decided that SKSE is now a threat and must be removed, of which it did. So I try to download it again, but AVG blocks the download. I then put it on the exceptions list, and continue the download. It installs, everything seems fine, then I load up the game, and SURPRISE! I need the SKSE loader. The only option is to look for it myself. So I find it, I click on it, and now I can't do anything with it because it is a dll file or something. It brings up "more options", but I am not even sure where that will bring me. The whole thing's a mess.   So, I have two questions: What the hell do I do with a dll file, and what is a dll file?

Look, I really don't own this computer. It is not like I can just change the system without their permission.   I have heard billions of times that AVG sucks. I wish I could get rid of it, but I can't. ANyways, I know the real problem of the matter.   When I go  to install the SKSE files and such, more some random a#$ reason it doesn't download the SKSE loader/launcher, so it won't work.   Everything else is downloaded except for the most crucial part. Why, and is their a way for me to get it into my SKSE files?   God, I hate computers.

Short story short: I downloaded the simple slavery mod, and one of the links I clicked on that page is the Maria Eden mod. I may download it, but I first want a description of that mod since I really don't know what it's about due to the lack of a description on the page.   This is nothing technical, I just want a description of this mod and the affects it will have to my Skyrim world. Maria Eden is the mod I am talking about. I am going to download simple slavery, and as I was about to do it, I decided I would find out what one of the links it has, which is Maria Eden. The problem is, I can't seem to find a description about the mod itself. ALright. I got it fixed. It took me many days to finally get something figured out. It ended up with a full system restore and many installations/de installations, not to mention all the files that were required to be moved, but I got it working. I won't be needing anymore help with this. Thanks for your time.

OK. Lets begin. I have been having a lot of trouble lately with certain mods and downloading and installing, and I finally pinpointed the source of all my troubles: the Mod Configuration Menu for Fallout NV.   I have no problem downloading it, but installing it is the tricky part. You see, i get its two requirements, but for some reason, one doesn't seem to work. The New Vegas Script Extender 2.0 beta 3. What am I supposed to do with this file? Whenever I use the NMM(nexus mod manager) to install, then install the MCM, the MCM says it doesn't detect NVSE.   What am I supposed to do with NVSE, and why doesn't the MCM detect it? What should I do?   Please help if you have any solid information/suggestions. There are mods I want, but can't use, until this works out for me.   Thanks for your time.

RRRRRR! I am so close, dam it, I know I should have all the files in the right place, but I have no idea what to do next. All the files nvse has asked for I put next to it in the Fallout Directory. It was like passing levels in a game. So I passed all those "levels", except there is one problem left.     Whenever I try to open the nvse loader, it miraculously starts, but then stops. Windows starts looking for a solution, then I am forced to close down. What else needs to happen!!!???!??!?!

Ok, look, they may be simple, but I have no idea how to do this, and what they are. What is .d11 file? What is the Fallout NV Directory? And the most important one, how the hell do I copy the files? Where do I find them so I can copy them?   I know, right now I must be as oblivious as a blind/deaf man, and as idiotic as the three stooges combined, but for ****s sake, I have no idea how to do this crap. My Skyrim modding was as easy as 123. The rest of this crap makes absolutely no sense to me. So, if you really can not help me through my ignorant, not stupid, stage, then don't respond and waste my time, because zippy57, you are currently no help at all. If you have anything useful to say, say it, or begone.

SKSE for me was very simple. It created a shortcut for me very easily. NVSE doesn't seem to be that so. I am also used to using a mod manager. Manually putting something into a file and such is something I have never done. And about that 4 year old version thing, zippy, of course I know to use a recent version. I was just copying down what I found on the MCM page.   I currently reading the NVSE page, and the installation instructions, well, they make absolutely no sense to me. I am not a computer savvy person, and I can't base my past Skyrim modding on SKSE because SKSE was nothing like this. It was just there for me to use.   Look, anyone who wants to help will just have to bear with me. I am so new to this, with files and all this stuff. I have no idea what .d11 or .exe is. It all makes no sense to me.   So, I am a noob, and you are the veteran. Teach me the ways of modding.   By the way, I work really well with step-by-step instructions, so if possible, when helping me, make it as detailed as possible.

It took me a very long time, but I finally found out what the problem was. And it was so obvious and simple, I have no idea how I missed.   Here was the problem: When I clicked on Nexus MM or FOMM or my Files Exe., they would appear on the taskbar, but no where else. I did a scan, removed 130 threats, nothing happened, fully unplugged and restarted, nothing happened, and almost did a full system restore. Well, the thing is, those three windows were all open, they just appeared off screen. So my problem was was that they were off screen, and I couldn't see them.   This is how you fix something that goes offscreen:   1.) Open/click on the window you want moved. 2.) Once opened, hover your mouse over it without clicking. 3.) When the mini picture of the window you want appears, right click on the mini picture. 4.) There you will see many different options; things like minimize, maximize, close, restore, and the one you want: move. 5.) Click move. Then use your arrow keys, and hold left. Once it appears on screen, you and move it with your mouse. Click to let go of the window.   OR   1.) Do steps one through four. If the move button is not highlighted, click restore. 2.) Now you can do step 5.

Well, I swear my computer and any electronic I have hates me. Ny Nexus Mod manager will not open. Well, it does, but the "window",for lack of a better term, does not appear on my screen. At first just uninstalling it and reinstalling it would work, when every once in a while it would do this, but now, I can't get to my computer files so that i can uninstall it. Nothing opens except for google chrome! All it does is just appear on the bottom of the screen, where you can open different windows whenever you want.
