  1. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

that's an excellent idea, considering how remote some towns and villages are, such as Craig in Southeast Alaska and Attu in Aleutian islands plus some villages around the Interior. Also, welcome back, I look forward for more discussions with you
  2. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Good idea with the inclusion of these new creatures, also since its somewhat unrealistical for large spiders or massive hornets to thrive in frigid north, I have come up with an idea that you might like. These two creatures would live in the Valley of Ten Thousand Smokes, which due to nukes, caused the nearby volcano Novarupta to re-erupt for first time since 1912 and renewed the fumaroles and it is now a dark and forbidding place due to reduced visibility, falling ashes like snow, and sulfurous smoke and steam. The river Letche there is now more of ashy slurry, and houses a species of mutated salmon(I call Lethe Salmon) with razor-sharp teeth, making it dangerous to fish but worthwhile. It could have one of raider groups' base hidden in there.
  3. Fallout 3 Adult-erized Clutter

I'd like to see images of this mod in action before considering downloading.
  4. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Good point, with the mines and tunnels, also, its possible that the explosions could've sheared off chunks from surrounding mountains, so the Gasteneau Channel (the channel between Juneau mainland and Douglas Island) could've some somewhat scattered land bridges to cross if needed. and you're right about the lack of grand architecture, but don't be so quick to discount the Buregard as I kind of picture it as the Farthen Dur from Eragon series but more reinforced and militaristic in sense with some towers above it where the artillery would be.

Man don't be sorry. I wouldn't be doing this Lore thread if I wasn't into all this Lore and history. I like the Brewery idea. I have Ales. Meads, Beers and other brews as a part of my Lore already. Just haven't gotten around to making breweries and such. Still working on expanding ideas.    The idea for Stonewall is that these Mines and Tunnels are deep enough that they survived the Fallout and Radiation. I still need to work on how people survived the Fallout, but I'm getting there. And nice find on those Howitzers.   And as for Ammo. I'll be going by Fallout ammunition types. I feel there's less confusion that way, not everyone is knowledgeable about firearms. Myself included. I know enough, and by that enough not to be stupid with one, but not on how they work or ammo types.

Nice set you got there, anyways, about Juneau, which I have a extensive knowledge of, being a former resident, has a large mining history, so it could be plausible that some of these ancient mines could have become a part of the tunnels the raiders used to mine into the mountains.  And since you said that the Stonewall faction had become an ally of good/neutral factions, its possible that Stonewall could produce something for trade such as beer. Which comes to mind of Alaskan Brewing Company, the first brewery in Juneau since Prohibition and is know for their award winning Alaskan Amber. Let say that a person who descended from one of the workers continued the Alaskan Brewing Company with the records that the worker had brought with him when his family went into one of Vaults OR into a long-forgottened  mine that were fortuanely deep  enough to shelter them from nuclear fallout and radiation. That brewery could be known as Alaskan-Stonewall Brewing Company and that their beer is prized throughout Alaska.   Also, It is possible that Buregard Keep could have 105mm Howitzers salvaged from former Juneau Department of Transportation and Public Facilities, which used them to prevent avalanches by creating smaller, controlled snowslides, as one of its artillery which could've helped to protect it.   Most of military-class weapons would be found around former military bases and battlefields, also, most common ammuniton used in Alaska is .388. just so you would know. Sorry for this massive chunk of Juneau history, but it is really interesting and thanks for reading this. XD
  7. [WiP] Cattle Race!

When I saw this, I burst out laughing, you sir, have made my day
  8. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Sounds excellent, also, I was also wondering where they would live in Alaska, like mostly in the interior or all over, because it seems viable that there would be some tribes all over, such as three or four tribes in SE Alaska with bodies adapted for amphibious travel or better swimming abilities.
  9. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Looks awesome, and would make nice substitute for super mutants in Alaska, as you mentioned earlier that it would be unlikely that any super mutants would make it Alaska. Also, I were wondering that are the tribes very defensive of their territories or somewhat neutral to humans, or that it is varied depending on tribes?
  10. [WiP] Cattle Race!

hey man, can you give us a sign that you're alive, or a update on the progress of this mod, it would be nice to let us know that it is not dead and will give us something to REALLY look forward to, I know I am.
  11. Just curious, can you make it compatible to CHSBHC body model? would love it if you can do it
  12. [WiP] Cattle Race!

i agree on the gender-specific skills idea and I think the template were custom judging from pictures, and probablybased on a human or khaijit model
  13. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

sounds good, glad to help out with the Chinese spec ops idea, and ghouls does sounds good
  14. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

fair enough, but what I actually meant as in for BoS is that the leader of organization could be an expelled member who was kicked for a reason, and same for Enclave, however, you are right about enclave, they're bit overdone, so for that, Im thinking that a ex-Chinese-spec ops could also be possible due to Operation Anchorage and possibility of spies being left behind by Chinese retreat, and its possible that they could've made it into a vault near Dutch harbor OR the vault at Anchorage
  15. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

looks awesome, and that gave me a idea for Dutch harbor, Dutch Harbor could be an semi-legal trading town that trades in various things, legal or not, and are run by a shady organization headed by an ex-Brotherhood of Steel member or ex-Enclave, but of course, its your fanfic, your choices
  16. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

good plan, mate, and don't forget, if you need any new creatures from myths, just ask meh
  17. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

looks good, my suggestion would be probably add places in Aleutian islands (yeah, you really need some places there, there's nothing there yet) and maybe more civilizations around Southeast and the interior, such as Sitka and Fort Yukon, and Gridwood could be a dogsled mail office station or headquarters, whatever up to you, also, Happy Black Friday
  18. [WiP] Cattle Race!

me three, and congarts on being the owner of 69th post on this topic
  19. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Sounds good, and don't forget, you can just ask me basically any time about something Alaska related
  20. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Awesome, I'm a resident and don't worry, I have too much free time on my hands after work, even in winter so I would be checking here from time to time, also something to tide you over, the Inuit's Qalapalik. The Qalapalik is an human-like creature with green skin and long fingernails and lures children to shorelines with mysterious humming noises before dragging them to bottom of ocean. I think it can make an excellent water ambush creature that can be detected before attacks by listening for a humming noise. i attached a image i think matches them best. Enjoy
  21. Fallout Alaska Fan Lore

Here's a idea from one of Tlingit (Southeast Alaska native tribe, not to be confused with Haida) mythology which was told to me by a friend who's part Tlingit... their stories tells about Land Otter Men, or in their language, Kushtakas, they say that they take form of deceased releatives that were lost at sea or died by water. In several stories, they kill humans or transform them into Kushtakas, or help humans out (more rarely found). You could basically create an mutant otter creature by this creature of Tlingit mythology... hope this helps out P.S. My friend knows tons of Alaskan Mythologies, which could be helpful if you want.
