  Imho nothing has changed since the 90s or early 2000s, people used to sing about cars, bitches, parties... Autotune isn't the gold standard of todays music either, so if you're a bit more positive then you will realize you're not doomed to only listen to the 90s music, go out and find what's good for you, not all mainstream music is bad either, and there are plenty of underground radios, if anything the selection of music has grown wider than ever before, so complaining about "nowadays" music is really unnecessary snobism, like 90s or 2000's had it any better with Britney bitch and Avril Lavagine Rappers used to rap some dumb shit too, the only reason for nostalgia is that the bad stuff of the day was quickly forgotten and we only keep records of the good stuff... That's also called the Golden Age syndrome, we keep only good or intense memories, we forget most of the bad stuff (unless it was really sad or frightening then you won't forget, but you don't remember the less intense bad things, like dullness or boredom) so we keep thinking things where better before than today, that's because when we remember we tend to evoke good memories most of the time, even though we remember bad things we don't usually focus on them, time usually erases such memories. As a kid I have been spanked a lot, with belt buckle, it made my ass bruised and hurt, now I don't even remember why or what I did, or when it happened, I can't even remember the pain, I only remember playstation 1 videogames and school plays and things like that. By the way, why complain about dubstep and not the completely unnecesary and exagerated shrieks when playing horror games, or the stupid comments when playing shooters?

I can only give my opinion as somebody who listend to dub step when playing shooters, the reason is that i've found shooters and dubstep to go hand in hand, i'm a big fan of metal, but I just can't llisen to it on multiplayer, so I discovered some good dubstep and I keep a small collection that I find fun, like this song: Getter - Run Up: http://youtu.be/cJAIDlimXMc I think also most gaming channels are there to make funny montage videos and dubstep is good for comical situations. I would totally use the apropriate music if I did a gaming chanel depending on what's playing: Mmorpg/rpg:Folk, Epic, Ambient, OST Horror: Dark ambient, harsh noise, black metal intros Shooter: dubstep or dub element infused music, martial music, industrial music

Really sad, could happen, it boils down to who you're dealing with, big companies are a nope, others might be give you some slack to do what you want with their intellectual property, I don't remember what game exactly allowed to port armours into elder scrolls as long as it wasn't sold.
