    Feed them cheese to gain their confidence. Once they are close tickle them behind the ears. (If that can be counted as an analogy, it works on many levels - although it might of been originally applied to goats or some other creature which should only be herbivores, but if you look into their eyes you will know when they actually want meat).

     

    If they growl at you, retreat to a safe distance and throw chocolate at them.

    People who ask you to leave the seat up, then a day later as you leave the seat down, wdf? how about looking before you place your ass on an objected used for bodily waste disposal?

     

    Common courtesy?

    My younger sisters would bitch and complain every time I left the seat up because they have to take the half second to put it down, while my big sister fully says "I'm a big girl, leave the seat up, I can put it down myself.  If you piss on it, though, I will beat your ass."

    The fact that black friday starts on Thanksgiving these days is total bullshit.  Instead of spending my day with friends and family, I have to get as much sleep as possible and go in 5 hours early to accommodate greedy shoppers and a greedy company who think nothing of the employees who're missing out on their time with family and want their shit.  Morality and decency go out the window when it comes to greed, and I'm often left with genocidal thoughts at the end of it all.  That, and I really hate crowds.  They make me uncomfortable.  It's not I'm afraid of them, it's more that I can feel them, and it's somewhat overwhelming, and I get to manage the laptop line -.-

    Almost the same thing happened back in '98. You may know what I'm talking about. You know... big ship sinking.

     

    Anyway, it's like THAT song tries to fill out the void left behind by Whitney Houston, and so we have these wannabe divas try to be the next one.

    There's just as many sweaty topless men with overly defined physique running around in games as there are scantily clad women.  I believe this to be an attempt to create controversy where the attention is not needed.  There's more pressing issues for women than "oh my god, she's in a chainmail bikini!  *next game* Oh wow... he's so hot with his shirt off..." to be addressed, such as the very real pay gap, social expectations, and treatment in the work environment.  For example, a friend of mine recently got terminated because she turned a zone manager in for sexual harassment, who then turned around and started dating an assistant manager who then pulled some strings to get my friend fired.  As far as I know, nothing has happened to the assistant manager, as of yet.  The list goes on and on.  Treatment of women in video games, as far as I'm concerned, is bottom of the barrel, and is a very non issue.  The focus should be more on the conduct towards women by male gamers in online interactions, if anything.  I know women who were banned from servers because they were kicking everybody's ass and then spoke on mic and the server op banned them for being female.

    Well let's see how the game pans out first.

     

    Thriving mod communities spring up around good games first and formost. Having good modding tools is an asset to be sure, but point is, people will rather mod a good and popular game using lackluster tools (like Skyrim for instance), than they will a lackluster game that has great tools (Like Unreal Tournament 3, which had a great SDK, but the game was pretty damn meh so it never really went anywhere mod-wise).

     

     

    That's not an attempt to pass judgement on DAI though, i've not followed it clousely so i'm not really sure what to expect. All i'm saying is: Beware the hype, the proof of the pudding is in the eating ;)

     

    I thought UT3 was good.  The story was shit, but the game itself has a lot of replayability in skirmish mode with the right mutators.
