    Long story short - My last cat died back in September 25th of 2012 and it took me a long time to get over him. I had a choice to put him to sleep or pay the expenses and at the time I wasn't doing financially well and made the choice to put him to sleep. It was devastating and heart breaking that I had to make this decision and I used to beat myself over it.

     

    Few months ago I have decided it was time that I was ready to have another cat in my life and this stray cat appears in my life out of no where. I'm in a very happy mood because this stray cat in my neighborhood that lives in my garage and I've been building my trust with the cat and it's been paying off. The cat has gotten close to me to smell my hand and even sit next to me from a distance. I've fed the cat and gave him/her (can't tell but I think it's a female cat) water and I have worked up the trust pretty quick. I just feel so bad the cat is sleeping outside in the cold.

     

    It's gone in my home once but my dog barked at it and it panicked and ran off. My dog is very lovable and likes cats, but it just likes to bark to bark when seeing anything that moves. Him and my last cat, Miles got along very well. It's just a matter of time and patience. I hope this cat will trust me enough, because I got room my heart for it.

     

    All I can say is the connection is there and I'm closer and closer to finally being able to pet it. :)
