    Sup hollow dick ! Yeah no I'm at my gf's and I only got my laptop, which is completely destroyed now aha, I sent it back to factory. Just playing fruit ninja on the iphone now  :dodgy:

     

    I tried that game you advertised-Dying Light, I'm at 60%. Figured since you play Skyrim on pc, you can also run Dying Light.

    Windows Update can only install generic drivers with limited functionality. You must install the specific graphics drivers for your GPU either from your laptop manufacturer's site or from AMD/NVidia/Intel.

     

    Last I tried to manually change my AMD drivers, my Catalyst Control Center disappeared, my fps fell to 10 in game, and I'm pretty sure everything went on my generic card instead of the dedicated one. I had to do a factory reboot to make everything okay again. I'll just send it back to the manufacturer, ask them to add some RAM too since I got two empty slots.

    Consider getting the gigabyte Radeon R9 280X OC windforce 3X, it has much better cooling, 1000 MHz & it's quiet, etc with the FX-8350, weaker cores but mops the i5 in multitasking n& in future games, multi-threading shines. I have an older system with these. If you're willing to go over budget, get the Xeon E3 which is basically an I7 without the on-board graphics


    & a 650W power source

    If your not getting the correct textures for any customer character you most likely have a setting wrong or your game is not loading customer content correctly.

    Yeah I figured out as much, 1st time trying to play Skyrim.  After trying New vegas with mods, Don't want to look at a vanilla modable game lol

    Say is there a mod pack or something? You know...an archive with all the stuff?

     

     

    Currently no, but I could get one started when I get some free time :)

     

    Thanks but I changed my mind, I'm not gonna play Skyrim, too time consuming to play & get the mods to work.

    That is all that needs to be said about that.

     

     

    Well, he didn't throw any clichés or anything, endorphin does help during depressions, and he was right to make him thrive to be his girlfriend's mental support instead of the contrary, setting a goal that means a lot to you emotionally is a common psychological device that he's going to come across anyway once he gets professional help. 

    I'm not saying this randomly either, I'm doing psychology studies and some of what Tiger said comes out in the very textbooks psychologists use to treat their patients. 

     

    To the OP, you should indeed seek professional help, no matter which experiences everyone here has had in his life with depression, each person is different from the next and copes with it differently. I wish you a good recovery. 

     

    I hope OP gets my comment & doesn't take it as wanton malice, doing something about it is a whole lot better than talking.  I can do a lot worse if I don't listen to reason myself, can't I? Remember the nail? Boy did I dodge that bullet. :lol:

     

    Do you study psychology? Any titles in particular?

    Actually I do, a family member committed suicide with a cable. & I was depressed myself at 16 because I couldn't cope with my own problems. Once I solved them, things got better.

    & I didn't say therapy doesn't work, I said internet therapy doesn't work.

    Find an occupation, internet therapy won't work. You won't commit suicide, those who talk about it never do.


    I don't believe in 'relying on each other'(I'm saying you have to solve your own problems), you have to be her support, not the other way around. Man up, women don't like depressed partners, she's going to think you're a wuss. Go travel with your girlfriend & have sex in unusual places. & go to the gym, the endorphins will help.


     


    ps: I'm seeing a psychiatrist too, but for different reasons.

    Sexual crimes are fueled by the same thing as all crimes... human nature.

     

    It is human nature to crave power and authority, because we are a species of primates and power and authority mean we get the best mates and bear the strongest offspring. It's human nature to be violent and cruel, because these are the ways that evolution has found easiest to exert dominion and ensure survivability. The roles of dominant males and females within a social order have been undermined in the human experience, however, as our societies have strayed further and further away from the origins of our biological nature.

     

    From a purely psychological standpoint, it's actually quite amazing that humans are as capable of restraint as they currently are. When you consider that we as a species are basically overriding our own natural instincts to weed out the weak, breed for superiority, exert personal dominance over our 'tribes' through the use of brute force, and violently seize that which we want from our neighbors the MAJORITY of the time... then the instances where such things happen become much more indicative of symptoms of psychological repression than they do of these 'sickos' being inherently wicked or evil.

     

    They're not evil. There is no such thing, it's an arbitrary term, like 'sin', used to stigmatize those who are 'socially unacceptable'. That's not to say that it's wrong to do so, it's merely to put the matter into context. We obviously can't have rapists and serial murderers simply running around in our cities in this day and age, where so many people can be whipped up into a panic so very easily.

     

    In the long distant past, these individuals would have been the hunters and chieftans of our clans. They would be the warriors who brought back new blood for the tribe. Only the very few... the very small number of broken, anti-social sadists and psychopaths would have had difficulty. But even then, they would not have lived in a society which utterly ostricized them for their violence and brutality. Instead, those who commit acts of violence... even sexual violence... are simply out of place in our modern culture.

     

    To say that that sexual crimes come from a different 'source' than other crimes is not at all unlike saying that murder is fueled by a different source than jaywalking.

    An act of rape is a sign of weakness, lack of self controll & low resistance to frustration. It is as degrading for the perpetrator as it is for the victim. There’s no way to sugar coat it, in real life rapists destroy destinies & they should be executed. And you disconsider intelect as a viable weapon.
