  1. Bijin NPCs has been released - http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/71054/?

"Changes the appearances of Vex, Sapphire, Irileth, Rikke, Hulda, and Lisette." - I kinda expected more NPCs had been overhauled but probably in future updates.. In any case the female NPCs look good.

*Although, I still prefer The Ordinary Women over Bijin NPCs, most especially when skin textures are replaced with Fair Skin. It really isn't a problem since I used them all anyway & can easily switch priorities anytime as seen in the latest video I did: https://youtu.be/Bz_TGYl9tgU

Edit: Talk about NPC overhauls.. This one may not be vanilla but a fusion of a lot of custom ones -

REALLY Interesting NPCs - Immersive Recruitment of Heroes and Champions of Skyrim by Pelopida

    - Armors, Weapons, Followers made by other various mod authors - all bunched up together in a single mod & are integrated all around Skyrim for one to discover & encounter. The mod's quite huge & has a lot of content. If one will take notice at it's credits, one would see the vast amount of borrowed assets from other mod makers, including popular ones, like Newermind. Kinda amazed that this mod got all the permissions.

  2. Recently, new NPC replacers/overhauls are quite frequently being released on the nexus. I gotta hand it to the mod creators, big props to them. They be making really good quality stuff. More choices are available now but kinda difficult to pick which ones to actually use..

but hot damn! This latest one's really fine! -

  3. First off, just wanna say that this pack is fantastic & I'm thoroughly enjoying it. Thanks for sharing this. On a side note, I'm currently tweaking a plug-in that's basically gonna make the mod standalone & a bit lighter - no CaliberX requirement (all vanilla ammo properties & effects), no leveled lists / vendors (acquisition via container only) & further added more variants customized with my very own hilarious enchantment - Gravity Force Effects (GFX - just like them halo gravity weapons, makes enemies fly when hit). Wouldn't mind sharing the finished product, if I'm allowed.

Here's a demo of GFX weapons:

  4. @Brontis: In case you haven't yet, try placing donyakiin after all the adult replacer mods. Maybe because Donyakiin uses adult packages (making them killable), it might be conflicting with some. & a few more tips: I order my replacer mods & mods that work with them like this (first mod mentioned is first on top): Adult NPCs > children NPCs > Apparel Replacers > Body types > Textures (hair, skin, brows etc). I have yet to experience bugs with this order. Also, if you have it, try reordering any children mod (like killable children) either before or after. I forget which as I don't use those kind of mods anymore. To add: check esm mods for children's data, if one has it then it might be the culprit as well.

  5. Yeah, about the LOOT tip.. there's actually a sort or revision on how to use it. Latest LOOT version seems to wrongly arrange the plugins' load order every time you use it. Best to run LOOT just once first to order everything properly, then close/reopen MO & now arrange only the replacer mods manually. Wherever the 1st replacer mod is placed in load order, just relocate the rest of the other replacer esps after it - with the consideration of course of how you order them & syncing with the left side archives list.

  6. @sulaco, I think I kinda figured out your problem. If using NMM or normal (no mod manager) install, it's the order of the mods' installation that could probably solve your problem. Both Jenassa & Irileth may still be affected by SOGS somehow, since both are included by the mod, & I think that maybe the various data files weren't overwritten properly thus making the plugins read the wrong files. I'd suggest a new install just to be sure.

Troubleshoot: First, delete all NPC replacer mods, do a fresh install. Since you want NPC85 as base - install SOGS first, then NPC85 second & Bijin WM last. Esp's load order should also be similar.

@ntwackme48, check this procedure out, maybe it could help. For you I'd suggest to do a fresh install too. Install Inhabitants first, SOGS second & NPC85 last. Esp's load order should also be similar.

PS: these tips may help sort out problems most NMM/normal users have. Any replacer mod that has files that will conflict, such as facegen data, will probably get overwritten by the next replacer mod installed. Just plan it out properly. The most recent mod installed always takes over & will probably delete any similar data of the previously installed mods. If you gotta switch things around, it's probably better to do another re-ordering by doing fresh installs.. Otherwise, just use Mod Organizer & you won't have these sort of problems. I couldn't recommend it enough. It's really good.. most especially for hassle-free usage of various replacer mods.

Edit: recently found some more NPC replacers. Not too big, has good coverage & face designs are quite nice.

  7. No gray face bugs, even in between saves with uninstalls:

    save01 - SOGS + NPC85 + JH Mods

    z2pDCVt.jpg

save02 - Removed SOGS. NPC85 + JH only. *Purple hair textures is effect of the removal of SOGS. NPC85 was actually depending on SOGS' hair textures files in my set-up. Can be remedied by using the required hair pack (SG, I think.)

    SGe7Sux.jpg

    save03 - Removed JH mods. NPC85 only

    JnGv69j.jpg

    save04 - Reinstalled SOGS again

save05 - Removed SOGS again, Installed NPC85 again

    save06 - Installed Bijin WM

save07 - Removed everything. Now installed SBF Jenassa & Lydia

No gray face bugs. This is the beauty of MO. It has great functions to sort out conflicts caused by a lot of mods, most especially replacer stuff but not exclusively. Just try using it & follow my tips regarding file arrangements.

PS: For proper uninstalls, be mindful of scripted stuff, like hdt bodies - these are not advisable to be taken out without proper procedure.

  8. @sulaco, Yeah, don't use the SOGS esm if you're planning on using more NPC replacers. Use only the SOGS esp alone. Also, SOGS or any NPC replacer mod that comes with custom body types can be manually edited to be replaced by your preferred choices. It's a bit tedious to do but simple - just replace the same parts accordingly. The body mesh & textures file names are basically same.. just have to sort through all the folders. The only suggestions I could think of, with regards to your peculiar problems, are what I already said on my previous posts above. It's all about using MO & it's file arranging feature though. Hope it helps.

  9. Thanks Aerysthemaddovahking for all your help. I don't use MOD Organizer as I had already put in a lot of mods prior to Mod Organizer even existing - so I didn't want to have to start over but it looks like that might be the way I have to go. Also, I notice that you use a lot of different outfits on your female NPCs. How where you able to change the NPCs clothing? I've been trying to use Tes5edit to do that but I'm still learning...

Hey, no problem. Glad to help. Anyway, the outfits of them NPCs are just various replacers. Right now, I'm using the CBBE ALSL TBBP with HDT body type & these mods are what I use: I Love Cleavage CBBE HDT, Remodeled Armor for CBBE Bodyslide TBBP HDT, Killer Keos Skimpy CBBE. To note: No TES5editing required. It's just the same as the MO tips I suggested for managing the NPC replacers, the method can be done for other mods too such as apparel replacers. The apparel replacers can actually be used all at once. I just switch their arrangement to achieve different variety & more coverage. They overlap well so setting them up is an easy adjustment & can use any of them as base. I even switch to other body types sometimes, like: UNP, UNPB or SeveNBase Bombshell & use their replacer stuff. Body replacer non-hdt plugins are basically safe to install/uninstall between saves as most don't have scripts. & here's a recent example:

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SBP_JZEQrUc

MO just manages mods so well that nothing is overwritten or erased permanently on the install folder because, like I stated, the files are set-up separately. You should really give it a try. It has more good features other than what I already suggested.

  10. @checkett, like I said, just arrange the mods accordingly. It's basically just placing the mod (both left-archive & right-esp) you want to take over, below the files that can cause conflict. Just keep rearranging it until no bugs occur. Here's my set-up to give you a clearer picture.

    F6V3zTv.png

As you can see in this second picture, I've used a bunch of replacers & they worked good.

    Bryling-NPC85. Serana-Mi_Serana. Taarie-QTRadiantRainmentGirls. Uthgerd-SBF. Sybille Stentor-SOGS. Elisif-Avelyn/ElisifMakeover. Marget-QTMarkarthGirls.

    zJZJRaL.png

*This method hasn't failed me yet. Gives me a lot of variety in every playthrough as I just switch orders to gain different setups. It's even safe to uninstall/reinstall between saves, if it suits you, as most of the replacer mods don't have scripts.

  11. @checkett, if using MO, the procedure would be is to check for any other mod that causes conflict. It could actually not be a replacer but any mod that tampers with the records (facegen most likely) of the involved NPCs. Troubleshoot would be is to position NPC85's leftside archive & rightside load order esp below possible conflicts. I've been using this method for a while to switch variety quite often. Switching to either SOGS, NPC85, SBF, Bijins etc as the base replacer. All worked good.

  12. @ntwackme48, if you're really decided not to use MO, then you have to take into account these details:
    - Using a variety of NPC replacers that edits the same NPCs will cause dark faces & conflicts if the files are not managed well. Take for instance SOGS & NPC85 - these 2 mods with similar & huge coverages of replaced files have to be sorted out in both load order & actual file arrangement in order to work properly. In MO, mods' file archives (left side of MO) are sorted in a way that they are separated from each other, hence, overlapping can be achieved & can be very easy to tweak. If you want NPC85 to take over SOGS with no bugs these tips, albeit for MO, are needed to be considered: on the left side of MO - NPC85 archive must be below SOGS archive, meanwhile, on the right side (load order) it will basically be the same - NPC85 esp must be below SOGS esp (not esm). Taking note of this procedure you can be able to add more replacers like this example:
    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=TF8LUTnQZiM
If you can achieve the tips I suggested with your preferred mod manager then it'll be good.

  13. @zaroas: the bandit, thalmor, forsworn, pop civil war replacers doesn't cover all races. Random Redguard, Breton, Dunmer & Bosmer NPCs are indeed not covered. They only cover random irrelevant Nords & Thalmor (even corpses.) Meanwhile - NPC85, donyakiin, DG, DB - do cover some but are named relevant npcs.

  14. @eifrag, bumped SOGS link certainly helps & is much appreciated. Thanks for sharing it by the way.

@Folhaverde, other than checking/replacing textures, try to check & switch load order/file location. I think, Donyakiin should be placed after adult replacers & any replacer mod that causes conflict.

Anyway, found some new cool NPC replacers:

*My set-up has SOGS as main replacer then followed by NPC 85, sidearm43's JH mods, Males of Skyrim, a few single SBF replacers, RS children & now these. Also replaced anything that came with their own body types/textures with the ones I already use & prefer. All worked good.

  15. Monkey D. Luffy - GUNetwork. It's a public release, just register as a member. Like I mentioned, it's for FNV - Fallout New Vegas.

Even though not all mods can be accessed initially (must rank up by being active, have good standing), the public releases there are quite good & quite a lot. Got lots of weapons & a few armors just recently released (also public) that are ports from Titanfall, Halo 4, COD Ghosts, Metro, BF4, ME3, Crysis etc. They're awesome! It certainly is a good time to play FNV with FO4 coming in the horizon.

  16. Hey R0R0N0, how's it going man? Really glad to hear that your taking an interest in FO4. Really looking forward to that. I myself have switched to playing FNV & just recently joined GUN. It's in preparation for FO4 & because of Dragbody (your nemesis? alter ego? Lol!). The system there is kinda different but it's still all good. I just love them ported stuff. Makes roleplaying more fun! Have to mention that a lot of other new mod makers are recently sharing a bunch of cool ported stuff. Even more fun to be had.

Skyrim is kinda on the downturn for me as of the moment but a break from it can surely rejuvenate interest again. & speaking of Skyrim: FO4 uses it's same game engine, albeit more improved & tweaked. I see that'll be really be an advantage & a convenience for you.

PS: @Monkey D. Luffy - a port of the AK armor has been recently done for FNV, like just today. It looks cool & if R0R0N0 takes the request, I'm sure it can be done. Have to mention that the shared FNV port was done by a beginner, had a few minor errors but was quite nice. Maybe with a little viewing of R0R0N0's tuts & you might be able to sort it out yourself. Anyway, here's a screenshot of it: http://imgur.com/URaNae7

  17. Recently tried this. Earliest chance to see action, in a new game, was in Primm with the old Nash couple & some npcs at the residential area (once they go back to their houses - after saving Primm & getting new sheriff). Not ideal, but if anybody wants to see something happen without having to wait: the Nash couple scene almost always work. Just walk in their house (courier office) at bedtime. Mr Nash will make his way from the counter to the bed & scene will trigger.

Additionally, the New Bison Steve mod also triggers some action between npcs in the hotel rooms area (once hotel is completely built/after grand opening).

  18. Body mesh & texture replacements, such as cbbe unp hdt fair skin complexion or whatever, should work fine for most sidearm43 overhauls.. but for SOGS it has to be manually done by replacing counterpart body mesh & texture files in it's folder. Same deal can be done for character mods that comes with their own custom body files - just replace them manually, with your preferred body & skin mod, if anyone doesn't like their looks.

  19. Hello again.. Not sure if this is known, but, found another cool mod that makes NPCs' looks better. It's an enb actually but comes with that "wet effect".

    Universe ENB

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/66677/?

Everything gets wet when it rains - all NPCs & objects. The enb has good fantasy-like effects & visual details on npcs & objects. Fair skin complexion looks real good with it. Pretty cool if you're the type that wants diversity in NPCs looks & can even now skip using shiny body textures altogether. Did a feature on it if anyone wants to check it out.

    https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=62457rq9q7E

Note: Every female NPC has their original textures replaced with Fair Skin - vanilla, SOGS, NPC85 & even the custom followers - Anduniel & Nadina. Looks may vary depending on your used textures.
