    to answer some questions...

the main release will be on Skyrim Nexus ... they have a relatively resilient distribution network.  I will try to also drop a release here, but long term support will probably end up being on nexus (because LL is blocked at work, and time constraints make it tough to support in multiple places).  Generally I'm more than happy to let people mirror my releases elsewhere, as long as they try to keep them up to date and refer to the original download so people can get the latest version and get support as needed.

I hope you made a typo, because having a FO4 mod in the Skyrim section of the Nexus would be confusing to no end.

Nothing... maybe karma:) ... I just like to help people get to the happy modded world faster and easier if possible.

for those interested in the higher poly count -- I tried out the full 21k point mesh in the game ... spawned about 100 animated gals in the new body, and only saw a tiny impact on my frame rate (ultra settings.  gtx 980ti.  dusty old cpu.)    your mileage may vary of course, but looks like a high poly character mesh isn't going to kill all the frames!

Oh man, what a horrible computer you have, only a GTX 980 TI video card! *Sarcastic*

Just saying, not everyone has a $650 video card. Your computer probably doesn't even care that FO4 is running, even if the rest of your computer is old.

Not sure about that, didn't the creator of Skyrim's CBBE announce that the F4port was in beta testing phase as of...yesterday?

Unless I'm mistaken, you are correct. I'm not exactly sure how, as nifskope still says imports are disabled, and I am unsure about any other 3D mesh editors or whatever. (I'm obviously no pro, so don't take what I say too seriously)

  4. I had an idea, based on custom bodies: FO4 currently has a weight/muscle triangle. Would it be possible to assign a separate triangle to each body part? I realize everybody has their preferences, and this could solve it.

E.g. the three corners for breasts could be small, large, and perkiness. Waist would have thin, thick, and muscles.

If there was something like this, it would greatly decrease the amount of different body meshes, and still satisfy (hopefully) almost everyone.

  5. So wait, would it be safer to use the busty from here, the nexus, or should I stick with V2? Just saying, I don't want to mess with the default Fallout strings and make it harder to mod later, but i would like a bigger backside.

EDIT: Nevermind, just saw that the one on the nexus says that it fixed the funny strings.

EDIT 2: Something I feel I should point out, is that the camera often went funky after using slm, but I could fix it by opening the settlement workshop/build mode thing.

I don't know how I feel about everybody's excitement to port Skyrim bodies into Fallout. I feel that they worked for Skyrim, were better for swords and magic and all that, but that they maybe don't belong in a post apocalyptic wasteland.

Don't get me wrong, I love Sevenbase. My absolute favorite body for Skyrim. But that's because it gave my character a tribal, amazonian feel, muscled from years of hunting and fighting. I can't imagine that kind of body in Fallout 4. I can't imagine any of the bodies, UNP, CBBE, Demonica, in Fallout 4. I guess I think that we should be aiming more towards the bodies from the old Fallout games, 3 and New Vegas. The Type 3 and the Type 6 Modified seemed to be more appropriate, other than the skeletal structure being kind of weird (like the shoulders were really square and high and the arms were longer to compensate for that.)

Maybe that's just me, but I can't imagine playing Fallout 4 with Skyrim bodies and it looking "right." I think it's time for something new.

I would have to agree. Unless someone makes an alternate start mod, your character was still a rather average person before the war, and not even raised in the wasteland. You don't gain much muscle mass from sitting in stasis for 200 years.

  7. I believe the Bethesda website says they are planning to release it some time or another, but yeah, I don't know why it should take so long to release.

    *EDIT*

Yeah, it says that it will release early next year, and I still don't know why the decided to wait to release it.

  8. I would like to make a request/suggestion to the awesome guys out there already working on these things: it would be nice to have a more universal body mesh. This may sound selfish, but it's difficult when there's 3 or 4 different main body meshes, and several sub-meshes, that some mods may or may not work with. It would be easier for mod makers and mod users should there be one mesh that all mods were made to work with. Obviously it would be the same for skeletons, but that hasn't seemed to be such a problem for some previous games.

~Thanks to those who make these games even more fun
