  1. You, sir, are awesome! Thanks for the anims. Been waiting for something like that a long time.
  2. If people want to play like that - what is wrong with that? If you're referencing the aspect of maturity - playing as the ubiquitous muscled male overachiever is also highly overused. Game developers should stop forcing players into their visions of how their character must be. I always understood Role Playing Games as games where I can choose a role. If someone else wants me to play a certain role, it is called acting. I'm not an actor.   Someone brought up the "Sims"-argument: Why not have an open world that does react to you, but does not put you in the center of all things happening? And if they react to you, this should be reasonable. Why not have a more intelligent dialogue system, no generic lines popping up over and over again ("I used to be an adventurer like you, but then blahblah..."), why not make it more like real life? Do people completely unknown to you bother you with meaningless and random banter on the streets? Or is it more like you need to address others to start a conversation?
  3. I'm also waiting for a company that makes it impossible for Bethesda to continue their Gamebryo crap. Please, dear game developers, make your games open world and REALLY moddable. I'm not talking about new armors or maps, I'm talking about a game that lets you mod EVERYTHING in it, INCLUDING the player character. Leave it to the player whether he / she wants to play as a female or male, as a beautiful or ugly character, as a mage or warrior or thief or whatever inbetween. Or as something completely different. And for fucks sake, stop this "you're the hero to destroy ancient evil". Try to develop something more mature. Something that does not only appeal to players who want the world to evolve around them with themselves as the center of it.   But I seriously doubt that this will happen any time soon.
  4. Do you sleep enough?

Decades of depression have fucked up my sleep architecture so thoroughly that I hardly get more sleep than 4, approximately 5 hours per night. On top comes Nocturia, which means having to get up 3, 4 or more times at night to take a piss.   So no, I'm constantly struggling. But it helps to cling to a fix rhythm.
  5. Cute face and maybe a body?

I'd recommend this one if you want to change your race after the initial character creation without losing stats:   http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/20394/?
  6. Paid Modding is gone.

I couldn't agree more. Beth vanilla games are not even mediocre. They're moddiing frameworks. And there's no reason whatsoever to be a Beth fanboy or even like their games as they come out of the box. But what the modders make of their crippleware - that's what I always went for. If that is no more possible, I won't shed a tear. Because as I said - Beth vanilla games are just crap.   And furthermore I agree strongley to put an end to pre-ordering games. Just for some ridiculous trash trinkets? A miniature Skyrim word wall? A weapon? A fucking map? Spend your money on something valuable. Don't let marketing douchebags make a fool of you.
  7. Paid Modding is gone.

After Gopher and all other big Youtubers had nothing else to do than to bash the community for their "hatred against certain modders", I'd like to express my sincere and heartfelt thanks to the community for the enormous backlash. Things like that don't work if it's too mellow. Though I don't endorse personal attacks and death threats, but I also cannot stand people accepting everything that has to do with making money just because it's a business.   Maybe in the future we'll see attempts to put mods behind a paywall. And surely there'll be modders who can't resist to try. They know what will be happening.   Valve, put a donation option next to each mod on the workshop.   Nexus and LL should do the same, I think. I want to pay modders, but I want to havce that coming from my free will to do so, without that shabby aftertaste.
  8. Paid mods for skyrim.

What is obvious is that the big youtubers all argue along the same lines: "Don't you think modders deserve money for their work?" That's the same moral blackmailing rhetoric that doorstep brigades use to force your consent to buy stuff that you otherwise wouldn't buy: "Don't you want to help disabled people? Becuase if you want to help, you have to buy that set of clothbrushes I have to sell - they were entirely made by disabled people!". Exactly the same rhetoric, with the same intellectual dishonesty. I didn't expect that from some of the bigger youtubers, but here we go.   Of course creative people who make gaming content do deserve payment! Round up some likeminded people with skills in areas required for making games, do a kickstarter fund and make a game. Or apply at a game developer. But don't just jump a train that first and foremost supports foul cash grabbers like Valve and Bethesda.   What modders do is using a game and its assets to create content or - especially when it comes to Betatesta, ehm, Bethesda - fix bugs. Which may result in people donating, which also happened in the past. Doesn't seem enough for some.   Nowadays you can monetize any crap and call it a job - at least for a while. You can ring some unknown person up and sell crap to him and all it "Call Center Agent". You can sell snake oil and call it anti aging lotion. You can film yourself being yourself, put that on Youtube and get money. Be a fake, be ridiculous, loud and dishonest, participate in any dumb hype and get money. Come up with some total crap game in unfinished state and call it "Early Access", charging people to test the crap. Anything goes. Until the hype dies and another cash grab comes up.   But don't expect anybody else to swallow this bullshit and applaud.
  9.   Did it just a minute ago. Thanks for the link!!!
  10. Paid mods for skyrim.

LOL...   Bethesda should do anything to prevent mod releasing from becoming more difficult. Introducing a payment system for mods is one of the usual idiotic business ideas that were done by suits that once again proved that they know shit about how things in that area work except for what they learned in their economy classes.   Bethesdas vanilla games are so very crappy and poorly done - let's be honest. The technical shortcomings of their flawed games (which I have come to refer to as mere game frameworks) alone would be reason enough for them to support barrier-free mod releasing all the way. The only thing that makes Bethesda games worth playing is the mods. I would have touched none of their sorry releases if there were no mods or you'd have to pay for those.   Zeitgeist sucks. Squeezing money out of the most ridiculous things like making youtube videos is already "common nonsense", but "pay for mods" will first kill the modding scene and then Bethesda.
  11. Custom follower grey face issue.

If the facegen files are not the cause of the problem and you happen to have the infamous "dark face bug":   I discovered that that happens when the VRAM of your graphics card is full and doesn't empty itself correctly. I have ENBoost installed which comes with a hotkey to empty the VRAM when necessary (default F4). Whenever the grey (or dark) face bug occurs, I press it and everything's back to normal again.   ENBoost (read the instructions carefully): http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/38649/?
  12. Creepy Things In Skyrim

When I had rebuilt the Dawnstar Sanctuary at the end of the Dark Brotherhood questline, my follower went into the torture chamber, lay down on the ground in exactly the same spot where the wounded Cicero was when he tried to escape after the murder attempt against Astrid. My follower even curled up in the same position as if he was trying to reenact the event. I can't figure out whether this was scripted in the game or it was a bug. But it was very creepy.
  13. Preferred SKYRIM race?

I'd like a nice date with her:
  14. Skyrim confessions

    1. No matter how good hearted my character is, I have one murder free, and that is Heimskr.   2. When playing an evil character, I like send a guard into a killing frenzy, sit back and watch them slaughter each other.   3. I find Braith cute because she's so clumsy she thinks that beating up and extorting money from boys makes them kiss her   4. I love Rigmor of Bruma as a follower.   5. I try hard not to talk too much to homeless children because their story is heartbreaking and always makes me want to adopt them all - however, when you do so, they turn into a lifeless Tamriel Tamagotchi. Modders, please help....   6. I never marry in Skyrim. No sex, no intimacy, nothing to talk about - too realistic.
  15. Favorite song at the moment

Only one of my faves, but a good recommendation for intimate moments: >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pc9LlSsg1_Q   Same record, same purpose, different song: >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fw528SJK2YU
  16. Bethesda Goes Corrupt Greed Once Again

Hmmmm... when I look up the word "Fallout" in the biggest german encyclopedia, the "Duden", there's no mention of a Bethesda game. Instead it says something about radioactive precipitation. OF COURSE IT DOES.   Patent law has nothing to do with common sense, once again.   I'm glad that I'm not one of the lawyer suits at ZeniMax. I can enjoy myself without doing a fucked up job like that.
  17. Formal Complaint

The only thing I find annoying about the ads is that they often distract me from what I planned on doing here. But then again, that's very inspiring.
  18. What song is stuck in your head right now?

    >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ahr4KFl79WI >https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LnHoqHscTKE
  19. Hehehe, well done Kendo. Though I must admit seeing the Prince Albert thingy always makes me shudder a bit. I know it's perfectly realistic, but still... getting a needle through the glans... brrrrrrrr...   You can call me a wuss now.   But nevertheless - well done!
  20. Mod Organizer

Just tested it out on version 1.2.16 of MO and can confirm it works. I'm running Windows 7 64 bit and Java 1.8.0 Update 25 32 bit. Here are my patcher settings - the file paths of course are different from user to user:   Binary: C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre1.8.0_25\bin\javaw.exe   Start in: [path to the "WintermystPatcher.jar"]   Arguments: -Xmx1024m -jar "[path to the "WintermystPatcher.jar"]\WintermystPatcher.jar" "-NOSTREAM"   If someone is concerned of just throwing unknown dll files somewhere on his PC - here is an analysis of the hook file:   https://www.virustotal.com/de/file/3942729e6a164c47542362d466ceb812be60c8aa29fba1d94fd9a2e20fe92ee4/analysis/   EDIT: MO version 1.2.17 just released, the Proccer problem had been adressed and now everything's working just fine.
  21. Mod Organizer

I can confirm that version 1.2.16 seems to have a problem with correctly handling Java, so the ReProccers (f. ex. SkyRe Reproccer or Wintermyst ReProccer) do not work, not even with the memory expansion parameter you can add in the config tab of MO.     Also see here: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/58635/?tab=4&&navtag=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.nexusmods.com%2Fskyrim%2Fajax%2Fcomments%2F%3Fmod_id%3D58635%26page%3D1%26sort%3DDESC%26pid%3D0%26thread_id%3D2155384&pUp=1     I'm using Win7 x64 and have the latest Java installed correctly. Worked with MO 1.2.14.   So downgrading to 1.2.14 is best until a new version of MO has been released. Keep thumbs pressed, folks! Thankls to the MO team for their tireless work!   Just installed a reduced version of it on my ancient Netbook. XP still is fine on old PCs if you need to run software that needs Windows. Linux distributions just cancelled support for 486 PCs. THAT'S what I call lifecycle. Unfortunately my netbook is my music machine and needs to run Foobar...     Sorry for rambling...
  22. If you have a template mesh that is close (more or less) to the mesh you want to weightpaint, it copies the weighting very accurately. On top you can fix dismemberment partitions if the template mesh has correct ones. The tool is highly configurable, and you can choose which parts of the target mesh to weight and which bone weights you want to copy. You can set the search distance, can completely re-rig entire meshes etcpp.   Experiment with it a bit and you wouldn't want to miss it.   I only use Blender if I want to change anything about the vertices (i. e. add or remove some). I only do the minimal rigging in Blender so that it can export the mesh and then I do the rest using Mesh Rigger. The sculpting I do in Outfit studio, and if OS fails at copying weights which it sometimes does I also do that with MR.
