  1. A bit OT:

Disclaimer: This is not a Nexus hate post.

Perhaps it's a good idea to take this mod off the Nexus and leave it here exclusively. If somebody has a question or some form of request he or she is supposed to do it here. Having to deal with a lot of people always involves having to deal with a lot of idiots. And the Nexus is a site where people who start modding will go first when they search Google for modding sites.

Long ago I ported my orc related mods over to LL (not entirely comparable though because my mod is WAY less popular and simple) and didn't regret it one single day. And if memory serves me correctly, the SOS team also went LL exclusive.

If you, Groovtama, don't care about endorsements you might want to consider that. I sincerely doubt that LL will be overrun by the average Nexus user because the porn ads alone are reason enough to keep the worst people outside. There seems to be a connection between puritan zealotry and idiocy.

Thanks for sharing your work and maintaining your mod so frequently, Groovtama.

  2. I must confess something: I've played it now for a few days and I've come to like it. I really didn't force myself into it but wanted to give it one more fair chance. It worked out for me.

However much of the criticism in this thread still stands.

And I'm looking forward to installing a good female nude body mesh to be released some time in the future. My vault girl needs it.

  3. So the Gamebryo Engine is still there. Patched, renamed and barely kept breathing on a life support machine (eats up much of the performance you could better use for gameplay), and with it all the problems. Was already outdated in Skyrim, but it's almost 2016 now.

I expected that to happen, and as always I'll wait a few months for the modders to do Bethesdas job. What is most irritating to me is the repugnant hype that goes on almost everywhere. The bugs are also mentioned in each single review, but they don't seem to influence the rating in the slightest. Fallout as it is now deserves imho no more than approximately 5 out of 10 points.

Some german magazine said that you have to accept their bugs because the game's worth it. They called it the "Bethesda deal". Because you get a "wonderful and interesting world to explore" in return. Really?

Skyrim with guns. Don't know who brought that up first, but it hits the nail. FO 4 feels exactly like Skyrim on release. So I guess I'll wait for Enderal to be released early 2016 and play that.

Furthermore I think it's time to move on.

  4. When I heard on a german game channel that FO 4 has an i7 3.6 GHz as recommended (not minimum) system specs I thought that either Bethesda have implemented a superior AI OR, which is more likely given the fact that they release their games in a more than flawed state, FO 4 is so piss poorly optimized that only the fastest consumer CPU on the market can handle the crap.

I guess I'll wait a year or so before touching it and buy the GOTY Edition.

It's a german channel, but this is the only link I can give:

  5. - I feel uncomfortable when my provider has issues and I can't go online when I need it to download stuff or read the news. But I have no Facebook / Twitter / whatever (anti)social network there is.

    - I don't have a smartphone or any mobile phone either.

    - I don't have a TV broadcast connection. Just use it as a monitor to watch movies / documentaries etc. that I have in my collection.

    - I like being alone very much, but I also appreciate contact to friends every now and then.

Low prices for player enchanted items

Description: Despite being a master enchanter you get very low prices for the items you have enchanted.

Solution: The low prices you see do not reflect the actual values of these items. Save your game, quit Skyrim and reload the save in order to get the actual values/prices for them. Yes, this is a bug, not a game feature.

    How to Avoid: ?

    Try that one:

  7. Hi BeamerMiasma,

great work, thanks for sharing! I don't understand how this mod could slip my attention for so long. Dialogue-induced sex without spanking or bandage or other BDSM-themed stuff, but instead a lot of additional options to add more substance and make sex dialogue feel more real. Thanks also for updating it for SL 1.60+.

That's all I wanted to say.

  8. I just wanted to ask if anyone already has installed the latest update under Win 7 x64? My MO (v1.3.8) is running so smoothly and good that I don't want to update without a few reports how the new MO does.

Another question would be (slightly OT) why people are using Win10 so early? Does it have any killer features that would make migrating from an older OS like Win7 necessary? New Windows versions are a bit like Bethesda games at point of release. Hilariously flawed and nerve-wrecking. But after a year or so, there are enough patches to make them work, and the best pieces of software and bugfixes come from 3rd party coders - often for free.

  9. Don't know if that has been mentioned already:

In SexLab 1.60 (hotfix 1 included) the Schlong (SoS Light 1.04) is often bent to the left (seen from the NPCs front).

SL 1.59c didn't have that prob.

I also noticed some Leito anims having strange offsets which also weren't a prob in the previous SL version.

Apart from that - cool new features in the new SL version. I love the 'c' hotbutton to directly bend the cock up- and downwards without having to enter the SL MCM - a feature to have an additional hotbutton for the sideways bends would be cool.

Also great that SL now saves all SL configs in a neat directory. With MO, one can easily create a reusable config sets for later use. Just create a mod using the "Overwrite"-contents.

The new toggle function for the right CTRL-Key which lets you decide if you want anim modifications for all stages or single stages when pressing it is also very useful.

I'd also like to mention that all in all the new version runs surprisingly smooth considering that a great portion of it had been rewritten. Good job!

There are several Sexlab dependent mods that cannot be uninstalled without loosing the assets they provide.  How would you propose handling these mods?

I don't know, sorry. But in my experience no mod asset is so valuable to justify potentially running into problems with on-the-fly updating script heavy mods, though I understand that you don't want to lose hours of gameplay of course. It's a decision you have to make.

I have been unsuccessful to date loading 1.60 without using SaveTool to remove all Sexlab scripts which is pretty onerous on the inexperienced user.  Do you have a friendlier suggestion?

I guess by "friendly" you mean "user friendly", am I right? Otherwise I apologize in case I've been unfriendly.

Skyrim Script Scalpel's instance removal is an automated process, you don't have to define filters or search for stuck threads manually. I'm afraid that's as close to user friendly as you can get with a disassembler tool that turns a bunch of unreadable data salad like a Skyrim save into a readable format.

  11. I strongly suggest using Skyrim Script Scalpel

    http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53045/?

First remove all SL dependent mods according to their instructions. If any of the mods require a certain uninstalling procedure, follow the instructions provided by the modder.

Then uninstall the SexLab Framework 1.59c according to the instructions Ashal provides:

    - first restore SL to default state in its MCM menu

    - make a save

    - remove SexLab1.59c

    - reload the save you just made

    - make a new save

    - then use the Script Scalpel and remove all unattached instances and undefined instances (the program tells you what to do and how to do it / where to click)

    - load the save it creates with the "EDIT"-prefix

    - save again

    - use Script Scalpel again to check whether there are still unattached / undefined instances remaining.

Follow the steps displayed in the message window of Script Scalpel, it's really quite simple, even I could do that. This procedure gave me a clean and smooth transition from 1.59c to 1.60.

It is possible to run CK through MO and still be able to compile scripts. The problem is that the Papyrus compiler is a .Net application that runs as 64-bit application on a 64-bit OS. The only thing you need to do is to force it to 32-bit.

Wow, didn't know that. Will save me a lot of trouble next time I have to fiddle around with scripts. Thank you very much!

  13. Don't run the CK through MO if you want to make / edit scripts. MO as a base is not suitable if you want to compile scripts with the CK, unfortunately.

You have to install the requirements for whatever you want to mod via another mod manager or manually (I use Wrye Bash because I already have it installed in tandem with MO for the Bashed Patch). After you installed all prerequisites for your mod, to make the CK compile scripts after the last Steam update, follow these instructions:

    Hope I could help.

LOL...he loved good ass shots indeed.

Well... he obviously was a man of good taste.

I hope he's well wherever he is and that you'll recover from your loss. Make yourself at home here.

  15.

I think the problem MAY be that old folks actually grew up in a time where personal responsibility existed.

    A bit off topic but...

Over here they claim that they built up Germany after WW II. But they constantly keep forgetting that they all contributed A LOT to destroy it in the first place. Responsibility is not always just paying money for something.

    Back to topic:

Constantly guilt charging someone after having done him or her a favour is a character flaw imho. Either you do someone a favour and do not expect anything in return or you just let it be. If the person in question returns a favour on his / her own initiative, it's fine.

Have these issues again as well. All textures optimized, no ENB except for ENBoost, no hi res stuff, no badly setup meshes, in short: no performance eaters that could be avoided.

In my case it's almost sure that my ancient GTX 460 is going. I wanted to upgrade anyway. I guess the days of extreme heat over here gave it the final blow.

I hear that a GTX960 4gb ram is a pretty good card and not to expensive. Good starting point for a modder. Move up from there. If you are eying some AMD.. there is the entire new gen out with gobs of Vram to boot. Not gotten any reviews on them r/t Skyrim modding yet so don't know how good they are.

I used to eye with an AMD, namely one of the R9 380 series, but since (I fear) AMD is going down the drain / will be purchased by M$ I think I'll switch to the nVidia GTX 970. Yeah I know, comes with the 0.5 GB VRAM prob, but that will only affect me when I'm playing on 4K resolution which I don't see coming for the next few years. Apart from that most games are optimized for nVidia cards. I hate it, I would love to buy AMD, but this isn't only a political decision. And then there's the power consumption for AMD cards which is higher compared to nVidia. This makes their cards harder to cool and louder.

But I've been thinking about all this for months now and cannot make up my mind. But I will buy a new card when Enderal and / or Fallout 4 are out. That I vow!

Thanks anyway for your very friendly hint. I appreciate it.

  18. I only had a short but very nice pn chat with him. He was very kind and we got along quite fine. He always wanted to see my country (Germany) again in his life. I'm sorry that he couldn't and I'm sorry for your loss.

Shit, I thought he was still young. Yesterday I read about his departure from LoversLab. And today about his death. I feel sad and confused.

  19. Mod Organizer. Can be used in conjunction with Wrye Bash, leaves your game data folder untouched, has unmatched conflict detection, can detect conflicts within BSAs, has multiple game profile support, is fast, convenient, easy to learn, gets updated regularly and so on. The best mod manager I've ever seen.
