About missing files, what's the status with CLS? I know it's barely compatible with LAPF (although a patch exists) but the links to the resource archives are long dead. I've scoured the related threads for a mirror, but couldn't find one. I have never played the quest, so I'm very curious about it.
EDIT
I know a download is available at the nexus site, but Loverslab's version should be more complete, am I right?

1.1 Update uploaded (a small fix for MorriganBoots2.nif, non RHH version of the boots)
I have learned another lesson here.
Making a non RHH version of shoes/boots is not simply a traslation along the Z-axis, there is more to it.
If you do that, the calf will burst out of your nice boots... just horrible. I didn't notice because I had been using only the RHH version.
I had to use the Clothing Converter (and Mesh Rigger) again using the original non-RHH version as target, and the same lattice.
Tested in game, now it's just fine.

I finally found out the reason behind my problem with this mod. It's all about the shader package used, and outdated or low-end graphic hardware likely won't display the textures properly. Could be also the way DirectX_9 is rendering graphics in latest versions of Windows (compared to XP). In any case, no more flickering, at last!

Slightly off-topic: lately I'm beginning to take more seriously a modder's point of view. I've come to regret posting some screenshots because they contained assets passed to me via PM (personal modifications of someone else's body textures). Now I feel it was a mistake, and the only way to amend (perhaps it's already too late) would be removing them. I have not received any formal complaint, mind you, it's just a speculation of mine. I'll try to be more careful in the future, at least asking permission beforehand. Because of my superficiality, I feel like the description of "internet asshole" used by kendo in his post could be appropriate in this case. Sorry for the digression.
More in tune with the OP, I'm beginning to understand why people could get pissed for what other people do with their mods (even when they're not private).

Can you help me again?
My pleasure.
Apparently there's no straightforward way to set an animation for all M or F, but you can do this for each [racename + gender] combination. Should work also for custom races, but this is something that the end-user of your mod must fix by himself/herself. I think you're looking for this:
QuotePer-Race – Override files must use the following naming convention: <Filename>_BLKD_PERRACE_XXX_Y.kf, where XXX – Name of the race, Y – Gender (M/F).
Files go in the specialanims folder as usual.
If your mod was scripted, the check would be easier (just the gender) and you would add only 6 animation (not 6 for each race).
I know you don't like the idea, but I would suggest trying to learn how to use ToggleAnimOverride and RefreshAnimData functions from inside a script. That's when Blockhead's power becomes unlimited.
I think I'll give it a try sooner or later.

I've done a fresh install of Oblivion and LAPF mods, I think everything is setup correctly (I'm using a load order well tested and reliable). OBSE, menuque and Pluggy are fine. However I'm now getting the same messages reported in this PSE post http://www.loverslab.com/topic/15074-player-slave-encounters-v0694-updated-23-aug-14/?do=findComment&comment=1341356
(I don't have PSE installed, so it's something related to LAPF general). The message appears for a couple of times, after that the LAPF animation starts and play normally, so it isn't much of a problem, just a simple nuissance. Just wondering what it may be.
I suspect it has something to do with my ini value:
set xLoversPkrIni.UseReset3D to 2
I'll try resetting it to its default value 0 (although the comment suggests "1", but I think it's a typo).
EDIT
xLoversPkrIni.UseReset3D looks unrelated.
In the PSE thread someone suggested the possibility of missing animations, but I only have LAPF and LoversCreatures installed.
I'm not sure about MotionNT (what's that?)

My personal favorite is the ZaZ Face Down gear, looks like flying. Precisely, is more like being pushed by a Boeing 747.
Seriously... I still haven't fully understood what skin partitions are and what they are for, but this is a stange case. Could be that the bigger block is almost locked in place, scarcely influenced by the horse's skeleton? As for the 6MB mesh, I don't know what to say, too much detail, perhaps.
However, I'm more inclined to accept Dusk's interpretation (the game engine exploding when there are multiple animations concurring). The proof is that the crash happens (at least for me) mostly at startup, when the character's pose is switching between "mounting" and "getting mounted", exactly at that moment. Past that point, I have a few minutes of normal gameplay before the next bad event, and in my environment (FCOM, scripted weather and who knows what else) it is hard to blame one mod or another. I think I got rid of the last dirty mod just recently (it's in my signature... ), changed OS and graphic card, but still my setup is troublesome.0 -
Thank you very much for the reply, Dusk_. So there's little we can do to prevent the occasional crashing. I have noticed a few things though:
1. replacing the calls to Activate with Activate2 is harmless (I'm unsure whether it is effective in reducing the crash events or not, but the mod keeps working).
2. mounting from the right side of the horse (making your character "jump" to the other side as the mount animation starts) seems to avoid the crash on occasions.
I guess it acts as a delay, and sometimes could prevent the conflict between animations you mentioned.
3. it's best avoiding mounting (getting mounted, i.e.) as soon as the game loads. Depending on how heavily the game is modded, the startup phase is always a delicate one. Waiting for OBSE, scripted weather mods, real high heels, and other mods to intialize can help.
4. Prevent combat music from playing all the time, even for rats! I tried using the EMC2 OBSE plugin and Dynamic Music System to create a custom playlist for "Riding", and the game stability has improved overall (not just for Lovers Riders).
EDIT
(Forgot to add this one:) Dismount, from time to time, and save (not quicksave) to a new slot. Better safe than sorry

Could be that you're using vipcxj's Real High Heels? I have seen this sometimes (not often, really). Also turning collisions on/off for NPC and PC in Lovers with PK.ini could help fix this problem.

This "Oblivion is dead" topic looks very similar to the "Rock is dead" one. I never subscribed to it.
Thanks for sharing your GPU settings.

If I'm not mistaken, BBB can be stripped from a mesh using Mesh Rigger ("Remove Bone Weights" option only).

Just wanted to say thanks fejeena for all your work on many of these lovers mods! Been using them for years on and off when I feel like another oblivion play-through. Especially the no-mbp updates sense I've never much been a fan of those races. Not that they're inherently bad mods but just not my taste
And here's a lil help for those that can't seem to get loversbitch to work as intended regardless of load order and such;
Method 1 Regardless of what some other folks say about lovers mods and bashing, this particular mod WILL benefit from it. Most lovers mods won't be helped or harmed by bashing because they don't usually make any changes that conflict with other popular mods besides scripts conflicting during gameplay and script bloat (for lack of a better word). What this means is that even if you make a bashed patch with everything selected(even lovers mods), nothing will actually be done during the rebuilding process because it simply isn't needed when there are NO conflicts which is usually the case if you aren't using lovers mods that shouldn't be used together in the first place.
Bash Tags: Add the below bash tags to the LoversBitch.esp and rebuild the bashed patch using whatever load order previously worked for you. Lovers mods have gotten much more forgiving as far as load orders are concerned over the years so if you do your reading of install instructions before installing these mods you should be ok. Finding the latest working versions is another story entirely so good luck with that one

I have my own reasons to prefer method 2, still your whole post is very helpful and correct. Thank you for sharing.

Ehm... the solution to the trivia (not much interest in it, I'm afraid
).
Olyn Seran, master trainer in Conjuration and worshiper of Molag Bal. Slain by brown bears in the colovian woods, I revived him, at one condition... you know.
The best part is that now he's a potential follower, and can still train me! The power of LST... (or it was LSD?)

Isn't there a menu entry in Lovers Settings to repair animations? I would try that.
Any manual adjustment done by LoversBackup2 or by the built-in LAPF backup feature will be lost, I think, but it's worth a try.

I know, there is a specific support topic for Lovers Horse Rider 2, but with the ongoing site facelift I cannot post there, and I was eager to share my findings and ask for some advice.
I'm hunting down the cause of the crash when mounting horses with the riding gear.
There are potential problems related to self-activation inside an OnActivate block, as reported in these CS Wiki pages:
http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Activate
http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Talk:Activate
and particularly
http://cs.elderscrolls.com/index.php?title=Crashes#Activate_Self
but none of the cases discussed there is present in xLoversHorseRiderSCRIPT. The script is apparently flawless. Still, the source of the problem must be there, and consisting in some form of recursive call to the OnActivate block. OBSE provides an alternative Activate2 function that could circumvent such eventuality. I have tried recompiling the script and its dependencies - without errors or warnings - after replacing Activate with Activate2, but I keep getting occasional crashes nonetheless.
Could be that a clean save is required, or is it just that the script is too much resource intensive? In fact, since I've been using this mod, I have noticed that my spells sometimes don't trigger the magic effect (nor magicka is deducted from the PC's pool), and I have to cast them a second time to get them working. The section governing the menu selection is rather complicated, normally this is inevitable if one wants to avoid the menu script to run all the time.I hope the informations gathered here can guide someone to rewrite the script, making it more efficient.
I might as well try this myself. I had to learn many new things just to be capable of inspecting the code.

I see. There are many other reports of things that need to be fixed (it's still a WIP, of corse), and some people seem to prefer the old style of the board. I guess it's only a matter of time before they get used to it. When all the features will be functional, I think we all shall benefit from the change (though admittedly, I miss the dark theme too).

Love the new forum style. But why has the spoiler tag become ineffective?

I know there are several topics dedicated to screenshots: "LL Oblivion gallery", "Show your character", and "Your character in the act" (for the naughty stuff). How about creating a similar topic for video captures? I happen to have a couple of videos to share, I will post the links here.
Feel free to move the topic in a different section of the forums, if necessary.
My first video, showcasing "Lovers Horse Rider 2" mod by ZAZ, Dusk_ and fejeena:
http://www.naughtymachinima.com/video/13698/oblivion-riding-horse
Second video, more focused on LAPF and LoversRapers.
http://www.naughtymachinima.com/video/13700/oblivion-dangers-of-wilderness
I'm waiting for your comments and contributions!
P.S.
Frankly, I'm a bit disappointed with the quality of the conversion. My source videos were much better (crystal clear, in comparison).
Perhaps my source video format is not the best option for that particular hosting site. Someone at NM probably could suggest me a better choice.

Nevermind, the upload took a long time but in the end it was succesful. I'm uploading the second video right now.
Can you suggest me the best section of the forum to post them?

I'm trying to upload a couple of funny video captures from Oblivion to naughtymachinima.
The files are around 50 MB in size, but the first upload is taking a lot of time to complete, and there is no progress bar... is this normal?
P.S.
Video stream is Xvid, Audio AAC and the container MP4.

Still, I invite you to reconsider my suggestion (for next updates).
Instead of struggling to make the same animations look good for both genders, you can (thanks to Blockhead) specify different animations for them.

Um... I can't help but think this is a trap... Modryn Oreyn?
Nope. It's a Dark Elf, but not Mordryn Oreyn. I'm not going to reply again until someone comes up with the right answer.
A trap? Why... it's the missing mesh what you see there... (white LIE).
P.S.
Ok, a big hint: "All hail the corruptor of souls!"

Thanks for the info, fejeena. If anyone happens to find a working mirror to CLS files, please share it!
In the meantime, since I'm here, I'll try also ggblackmail.
