  1. Looks very good.

I'm familiar with that set of genitals, you see it quite often.

I have a version with an enlarged, animated Clitoris and hood, which I've quickly combined with yours. It also features using skin textures throughout, so that genital textures more closely match those of other erectile tissue. A dark elf is not going to have a bright red vagina (grin)!

  2. That's exactly the sort of thing needed - for every lowerbody style people would want to use and with every variation to cover different animations.

Then you just need a script to substitute the chosen morph/lower body combination that works with the selected animation. Probably end up similar to SetBodyReloaded in scope (oh and making it compatible with that would be entertaining as well)! Not trivial for something that often by its very nature will be unseen.

  3. I'd suggest there is little interest because however implemented, it would be a lot of work for minimal gain. I'll try to give a detailed breakdown of all the Cons to back up why Greg says this is not really viable.

Off the top of my head, I can think of three ways to do this with various degrees of work.

    1. Redo every animation. A huge amount of work for a small benefit if you zoom in very close. (What IS it with the cut-away/x-ray obsession some people seem to have?)

    2. Use Morphs (Shapekeys). This has the advantage of only needing changes to body meshes but would be difficult to create one that always looked appropriate. Think about it. The same morph used in every sexual act? Even using blockhead, I can see a lot of toil to produce several morphed meshes that are usable, covering all situations.

    3. Working hard on setting bones priorities. Actually (a little known fact), the engine CAN blend animations in some conditions when everything is set up correctly. A good example would be sitting animations. They usually only effect the lower body, which is why a character can sit and also read or drink. Why don't you see these blended animations much outside Standard Beth anims? Because people don't bother setting appropriate bone priories. I recently looked at a number of sexy sitting alternative animations for ASX and had to change the bone-priorities of most of them, not a trivial task. So you might be able to create an assortment of lower body animations with animated genitals and then get them to blend into the sex animations (mostly special anims, haven't looked closely at the viability of this approach mind. Special anims may not take to being blended in this way). Again, this is not a trivial task even if it can be made to work.

In short, anyway you look at this, the benefits are tiny and the work load huge.

This is the sort of project that just doesn't interest anyone much.

  4. One suggestion I'd like to make that I suspect would be incredibly popular. A Real High Heels/De Real High Heels conversion option if such could be managed.

Some people adore 'Real High Heels' and some of us feel it ruins a perfectly good mesh. I'm assuming this would be the tool that might be able to do the job, if not,  I suspect another tool would be appreciated by almost everyone.

  5. Hmm, although this is supposedly general, all the discussion seems to be Skyrim. (I suppose yet another reason I eshew the game).

Anyway, to answer the original question, in Oblivion, all the Modder produced alternative Male bodies I've seen have a 'Slath' option. That's Slender/Athletic. Not fat, not skinny, not bulging muscles but slim and toned.

Might be more to the OP's tastes?

  6. I've always found Krista's 'item spells' very powerful and any scripts something best junked.

I loathe 'auto-equip this cool gear' scripts with a passion and always remove them before I load armour/clothing esps (Although I usually extend my own esps anyway these days. Really saves on mod slots too).

I've always assumed its for the instant gratification crowd who can't be bothered to learn:-

    ~ then coc testinghall.

Then of course some of them are buggy.

  7. Blender is not the most accessible of programs is it? (That said, is any 3D Modeling program? Even Wings3D has a steep learning curve!)

While by no means bad with Blender, there's still much I'd like time to learn to do better. I keep meaning to delve heavily into animations, but at the moment, I haven't the time for the project. I can do morphs pretty handily though and I feel they are seriously underused.

  8. (Sigh)

The very talented modder who publishes the screenshots of his work used to release it, Ser5051. Sadly due to a language barrier issue, his (or her?) imaginative work now seems impossible to find. There are at least three other fascinating screenshots that have never surfaced either.

  9. Look, you can rationalize using overpowered mods all you want.  I never said it shouldn't be allowed, just that it didn't make sense TO ME in a game that's relatively easy.  Seriously, EVERY one of the other TES games was harder than this one.

The game puts NPC opponents in front of you though, and there is an end game.  The fact that TES games, like MMOs, let you continue on after the game is beaten doesn't change that Skyrim is "beaten" when Alduin is dead, Dawnguard is beat when Harkon is dead, and Dragonborn is beat when Miraak is Tango Uniform.

I'm sorry but you are making assumptions, wrong ones to boot.

I have never even purchased Skyrim, let alone played it. Tes games I've played (and play) are Fallout3, Oblivion and Morrowind.

You seem to be saying that Skyrim has no roleplaying, only competition. Fair enough, I have no experience of the game so can't debate you.

FYI, my favorite Morrowind mod is a romance mod, heavily customized.

  10.

These are role-playing games. It isn't possible to cheat, same as it isn't possible to 'beat the game'. You aren't competing with anyone or anything so who or what is there to cheat? The aim is to enjoy yourself. If a mod enhances your enjoyment, it's good. If it doesn't, take it off your load list.

You have a computer, not a console, so make the game yours.

There is no cheat, only enjoyment or not

A single player game, RPG or not, you're competeing against the game itself

    <snip>

    and your previous personal best.

The game doesn't care, how can you compete against it?

Previous best what? There's no score, and even if there was, there is no audience. I don't keep track of how many blows it ever takes me to demonstrate the error of his ways to a Daedric Prince, I'm not interested, so no contest here.

Honestly, some of us DON'T try to make everything a competition you know. We just don't care at all. RPGs don't have winners and losers.

  12. Well, yes. That's what OBSE does in part.

For a more radical approach, just look at the Morrowind code patch for an example of how changes to the actual executable can be made to fix bugs and enhance the engine.

Using a disassembler (I presume) a phenomenal number of Beth bugs have been removed. Graphics and animation limitations imposed by silly Beth decisions and/or mistakes have been removed (Gloss maps implemented, better animation handling, etc), save games are more robust. The list is quite large.
