      You must edit the Ini files to use only one core of your CPU (for Steam FO3 or non Steam version, it's the same). To do this, follow this :

      Open your fallout.ini situated in "My Documents/My Games/Fallout 3" with a text editor (Windows Notepad or Notepad++). Go into the [general] section and add the following : "iNumHWThreads=1" (without the quotes)

      Without this, i couldn't play with my GOTY version onto Windows 7 64b. Now it works.
