  1. Well, Yoko-san would know that those are only two sides to the gilded coin that is the tall, handsome, loveable, smart, charming and personable protagonist of the story....

...Oi, you aren't Yoko-san. Hence, have a nice ban.

  2. I don't know...but i think Skyrim's environment is not suitable for the mods from video games or Anime/Manga like: Fate Stay Night' date=' Queen's Blade, King of Fighters, Soul Calibur, etc. It's so Morrowind environment. [...']

While I think that's not entirely true - as in yes, hard to see Mai Shiranui runnin' around Skyrim, someone like Risty (or Branwen - heck yeah, ready-made dragonlore-based background - or Fate's Berseker, or good ol' Siegfried) might indeed fit right in.

But it's a matter of choice and taste, of course, and there's still the issue of Skyrim lacking a sound DMRA equivalent to experiment with. :-/

Then again, I keep thinking of these games as more than games - they're platform for your own game development and enjoyment, open enough that sometimes even Beth itself manages to improve (see the overall quality of the quests in vanilla, unmodded TES4 versus the storytelling in SI for one).

Thora: see, now you made me curious about that New Vegas-related body you were mentioning. And as usual, thanks for your hard work!

  3. My point is that around IC' date=' max some rat and mudcrab that citizens can flee, around villages some wolves max and monsters in dungeon or far away from civilization...

But enough trolling :) Although I'm somehow asking for this kind of mod :)

    Cheers!

Nah, that's not trolling. It's a known fact that the leveled lists do have their meaning, but they were implemented rather poorly (bandits with daedric armor, again - sometimes, it looks like Dagon had a garage sale).

While some monster mods and tweaks do attempt to offset this issue, you have a point, and the comparison with MMORPG and - I daresay - JRPG isn't entirely out of question.

However, a simple increase in lethality shouldn't be a way around bad game design (as you pointed out when describing the "fauna" orbiting around the IC) or lackluster AI, either.

  4. Banned because Kuroshu didn't really resort to a long-winded explanation for the ban.

However, he went on and on to describe the perils and wonders he faced whilst attempting to procure ice cream! (thanks Kuro, and sorry about the squirrels. The horror!)

  5. Banned because it would have been most gracious and egregious to donate a teeny weeny portion of the aforementioned ice cream, or at least a small tribute in sherbet (lemon preferred, thank you), but that didn't happen.

The ice cream is a lie. Very much like the cake.

  6. Well played: reasons for my absence notwithstanding, that's a good, solid poke.

But I detect an excess of uppercase letters in your name, with underscores on top (rather, on the bottom, where they belong) so... here's the friendly neighborhood ban.

  7. Hell yeah, baby.

While I do sincerely like Skyrim and a good deal of its improved mechanics, Oblivion is still leagues ahead in terms of scope and customization.

Heck, people are coming up with improvements and dramatic modifications to this very day.

I bet Skyrim will grow into its own in due time, but it's going to take a while (and maybe a Shivering Isles-class DLC) until people actually exploit the system to its full potential.

But then, I'll always go back to things I like...

  8. Hey, don't diss silver hair! It's so metal - on the right head, of course. Look no further.

But there goes the banhammer, for forgetting to put 'emo-tastic' and 'bishounen' somewhere in there.
