How is putting LL community instead of listing out of all the people's names who've helped you fits more in line with "giving credit where it is due"? LL community doesn't say much, other than everyone who has an account here. No point in crediting me, because I didn't do shit, lol. Maybe I'm just misunderstanding something.

Is your list of credits so long that you couldn't list all the usernames? I wonder if this is more complicated than it has to be.

I know you probably don't care about other people's commercial work, but you can ask for help with porting without just uploading raw HQ files. Excuses have been made concerning derivatives when things get converted or what not, but there is no real excuse for this.

But for games that are rated M for mature, keeping a PG-13 chat for games that are only legally allowed to be played by those that are 17+ Is going to be impossible. and by promoting such games for minors and allowing minors to download content for those games is illegal with out parent consent. You do realize that? In the united states it is a felony called "Corruption of Minors." And even if you were not formerly charged in person your site would be blocked by the FCC.

I don't get it. I guess Nexus could be more strict by not allowing unregistered users to download anything, rather than files < 2MB. They could much further than that for any kids who decide to just type nexusmods.com into their address bar. You are required to be 18+ to register an account to use chat, forums, view adult content, download the majority of mods, etc.

Idk. I didn't have problems reaching the cap for free members on there servers (tried a couple of the salt lake servers). Speed dropped a couple of times, but I pretty sure it didn't last more than a few seconds before going back up. It mostly stayed between 800 and 1mb/s so it was ok. If speed suffers more during peak times, then Nexus isn't the only one with this problem.

Huh? You can use simple 3rd party software like nvidia inspector and enable super sampling. Just set mode to enhance instead of overwrite for Skyrim.

Edit: Forgot about newer ENB binaries. Haven't use anything new in over a year, so I guess you would have to do some research  since those require AA to be disabled by default. (I think)

Never hurts to try it though. Depending on what other mods you've got, the frame rate loss might not be that severe.

You do know you can't just go out passing around files you bought from renderosity? It's no different than doing that with games or anything else commercial.

Edit: Renderosity does have a gift system much like steam, so find someone who you can gift it to.

Just got through taking a China - Contemporary History course for the heck of it. I would say that China takes the crown on that regard.

They're just easy to miss. There's quite a few of them, but like I said, there could be more.

Then I guess no one ever gets re-instated, then? I'm surprised there isn't more since most bannings are for piracy. It's also probably an offense that is easiest to appeal by showing proof of purchase. Then again, I think people just like to rant more than anything else.

My case is much trickier than that; I knew nudity was forbidden in the imageshare section, so I figured I post the pic as a wallpaper in the fileshare section - formally it would be within the rules, ppl post some silly wallpaers there. But. BUT! They banned me before I even managed to upload the file, I mean, I uploaded a screenshot and got banned before uploading the 7zipped pic. So formally I got banned for NOT providing a file in the fileshare section.

 

Hm. Well, fair enough. Blame people in the past for creating mod pages for wips to simply get hype. Best to set mods to hidden until everything is uploaded first. Such a tip should be added to the upload section if is not already. This also needs to happen for authors with large files.

Don't see how that's a trap. No point in providing help to those who can't be arsed to even buy the game. The chat room wasn't designed to be a 24/7 tech center anyways.

Oh, well then use nraas porter mod if it's still available. Pack up all your sims, and move them over to a new save. Or you can manually save each household to the bin, and move them over.

For installing new expansions, move all mods (or the entire framework) to another location prior to installation. Afterwards, do not move back mods that affect gameplay changes, UI, sliders, AI, etc. Check for mod versions that are compatible with the latest expansion, and only re-install those that have been updated.

This will be easier if you've categorized your mods. I think I have mine divided into clothing, furniture, hair, accessories, skins, vehicles, makeup, and gameplay (hacks). You don't have to move .dbc files (mods installed via the launcher) as you can't install anything script heavy through there anyways.

TS3 still loads after alt-tabbing. It is also one of those games worth installing to an ssd to improve loading times.

The launcher, by default, will only keep the base game and the latest expansion pack you have completely up-to-date. Other expansions may not get updated from time to time. They will have to be updated by downloading each expansion patch manually.

Non-default skin mods don't act as the defacto for all sims. You can choose which skin textures you want to use for a sim under skin tones in CAS. You can use a replacer version if you want all sims to use that texture by default.

TSR is free now? My subscription ended not to long ago, so this must be fairly recent. I must have underestimated the amount of revenue generated by ads. Still trying to read how this works.

Well, no staff or single person can know of every game and every resource in existence. I don't know much about Infinity Blade, and I've never heard of Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky. *Goes off to google*

There will always situations where people are going to have problems, and some who don't. I will leave it at that. If the expansion has been out long enough, then there should be custom worlds with Island Paradise content.

Edit: Maybe try some of the worlds on this thread and see it you experience the same issues. More often than not I had to add expansion content to custom worlds I wanted to play, but it ain't hard.

I haven't played the Sims in awhile, but it seems odd to sulk over a routing bug for the newest world for the newest expansion. This game has had numerous good updates throughout its lifetime. Like said before in this thread, these updates not fix bugs, but add extra interactions and other details to the game. Maybe I just see things differently since it appears my gaming experiences are more pleasant than the majority (or minority).
