  1. Dude, it's not gonna happen. Most of the modders who made this stuff probably aren't even active anymore, and without permission it's a no-go.

It's also a pain in the ass to convert stuff from a game as old as Morrowind. So... yeah.

If you bothered to actually search you'd know it's not that hard to find something similar, if not identical.

  2. This isn't really a mod request so much as it is a request for a little advice, or push in the right direction. I didn't feel it was necessary to make a thread just for this.

Anyway, two questions, both script related.

First, is there a way to control the player's fall speed in FNV? I know it's possible to do something like that, because otherwise the jetpack mod wouldn't exist, I just have no idea where to start. I want to create a hover ability that allows the player to slowly float over long gaps. Basically just a slowfall jump.

Second, is there command, or set of commands, to lock player's movement into a full-speed automated run while a specific item is equipped, and enable free movement again when unequipped?

I'd really appreciate it if someone could help me on this. I know it can be done, I just don't know how, and my experience is limited.

  3. The only thing I'm not liking about the ads is the fact I now have a continuous boner woe is me.

Just stroke it until it goes away. At least you'll have a little "buffer time" until the next one, lol.

  4. I just checked out the nexus for the first time in a while, and wow. They have ads telling you not to block their ads. LOL.

Yyyeah, that's not going to happen. I'm not going to support their site until they get their shit together.

It's like I see them under every fucking screenshots.

Say, that cowboy sign in the back, is that vanilla? I've never noticed it before if it is.

I just finished watching the first part of Stardust Crusaders not too long ago. It was pretty good. I wonder if they'll do Diamond Is Unbreakable after they finish up Stardust Crusaders. That'd be pretty awesome.

If they actually do all the JoJo arcs that'll be great. I won't have to read through the manga.

Really liked it but well I'm too lazy to buy manga I'd like them to do it too or I'll have to read it

Yeah, I don't really like reading manga because it's pretty disorienting. I prefer regular comics or full-on novels.

I want to see shitlord Dio get that smug grin wiped off his face.

  6. I've got some stances on this topic.

I had a friend; she was gorgeous, intelligent and she was an amazing artist.

That changed when she discovered anime. She ruined her talent to try to be a manga writer, stopped going outside because she watched so much anime. She became defensive, obnoxious and arrogant because she had this thing she was interested in. I was into it too, I watched anime, read manga, drew it from time to time when I was bored to compose any decent drawings. Her skin became greasy, she became fat, stopped trying to look even slightly decent in public and she of course became a feminist that believed that make up was wrong (because it's not like japanese women wear make up right? PSHT). I still tried to be her friend because we had similar interests, she tried learning japanese by watching anime alone and soon started incorporating it into her normal conversation like some sort of immigrant from japan.

We are no longer friends because I could no longer stand the person she became, she had a nasty temper and was basically 'addicted' to the culture, whilst degrading her own. She didn't eat or drink anything english, she would openly say that both tea and coffee are 'disgusting things nobody should be drinking' and english food was inferior and fattening. She moans about her family all of the time when she herself is just as bad, if not worse of a person than them. My own family has their problems, but I can admit that I have massive flaws too. She couldn't admit to her faults, believing in her own self-righteous way that she is perfect, with her badly drawn manga and her yaoi flooded my documents folder. I went out with her for a little while, but I couldn't even make it a month with her. She never even let me kiss her because she thinks that dating should be as slow as SHE wants, not thinking about her partner.

Weeaboos destroy themselves and their whole family to be that person. They don't care about anybody else about themselves. I've met A LOT of them over the years doing what I do. I've met dozens of graphic designers who also 'try to make it as a mangaka' and spectacularly fail. They're all arseholes, the lot of them. Arrogant and self-important, nothing matters to them except the japanese culture and trying to live it for real. None of them ever make it to japan because they can't fluently speak japanese because they don't actually bother to learn the language properly, and they don't have any connections to move there. They stay single for so long because thinking like a japanese person, they assume dating is awkward and slow, like a japanese courting ritual. They often have low sex drives, yet overdose on hentai and pornography.

Wow. Yeesh. Yeah, that's too much. I watch a lot of anime but I'd never turn my back on my own culture. People should be proud of their own cultural identity, not appropriating someone else's.

I had a friend like that. Now he's into that pony stuff, and I stay far, far away from him.

  8. Seriously, I have to quote Weebam-Na on this (0:05 - 0:08):

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=piHiWfw0g2Q

Hate them! Hate them! Everyone! Gotta hunt them down and chop them all to bitssss!

In late 90's I quite liked anime. Because there was Cowboy Fucking Bebop. Ghost in the Shell. Akira. Berserk. Vampire Hunter D. Even the first Hellsing TV series was quite good. But now I fuckig hate anime with passion. I would hunt down and chop to bitssssssssss everyone with anime avatar and/or signature (I either ignore or adblock them). Why is everything infested with this crap nowadays!? Why about 90% of adult mods cater to the gawaii crowd!? What's so appealing about little girls with big eyes!? Most of the popular anime series (like Naruto or One Shit) are for ppl below the emotional age of 10. I'm so sick of them weeaboos. Hate them! Hate them! Everyone!

You need to watch JoJo or Fist of the North Star. Or Space Dandy. Or Darker Than Black. There's so much anime out there that isn't shitty kawaii desu slice-of-life bullshit.

I like JoJo because it has a distinct early 80's/late 90's feel to it. The manga series is from the 80's but they've just started on the anime so it's kind of nostalgic.

  9.

They seem to be preoccupied with spreading the lie that we're horrible misogynists despite a large number of us being women.

Yeah, shit like that has been getting super annoying. I didn't like the gamergate douchebros any more than any other decent human being would, but what a lot of pretentious hipsters have been shouting down from up on their high horses over this whole issue is that gamers are all woman-hating basement-dwelling parasites. Not specifically the 4chan turds or whoever started this shit, just gamers in general. That's like saying everyone who watches movies is an asshole. Video games don't appeal to a specific type of person, it's just a form of media like music or TV. Calling "gamers" anything is slightly more ridiculous than stereotyping any race, country, religion, or even gender, because all of those are more likely to have more things in common than "gamers", who make up people of all ages and nationalities.

So basically, people who bitch about gamers sound as insufferable and transparent to me as the people who never miss an opportunity to announce that they don't own a TV, they just want to feel superior to everyone, and it's pretty pathetic.

A new msnbc interview piece just surfaced and I raged hard. I can't believe msnbc's giving these pseudo-intellectual hipsters a platform to spread their bullshit. None of the stuff they're saying is even remotely true. They're just talking heads at this point.

And of course they don't even bother bringing somebody from the opposing side on, because they know their verbal diarrhea can't hold up under scrutiny.

Leigh Alexander, didn't she threaten someone? A death threat, IIRC? Why would you let someone like that on your station? Msnbc's just destroying their reputation. I actually feel bad for them.

As with most forms of extremism, my take on it is thus - "Quick! Journalistic integrity is at risk - to the death/rape threats!" - you have your priorities mixed up.

As I've said time and time again, those people making threats don't speak for us. We abhore and condemn that kind of behavior.

And how have you been showing that? I've yet to hear of a counter movement to that which made the threats.

We've been pretty on-top of that shit, actually, swarming to get harassing and doxxing twitter accounts reported and taken down. I can't say the other side is doing the same, though. They seem to be preoccupied with spreading the lie that we're horrible misogynists despite a large number of us being women.

Oh, and anti-GG also doxxed a trans girl and a 12-year old with asperger's but that's totally not relevant.

They don't seem to care who's harassed as long as it's not them.

  12. Have you watched some of InternetAristocrat's videos on the matter? I would recommend that anyone trying to figure out what's going on check out this video (you can skip to 1:31; just a funny intro). The trouble with getting good information on the subject is that Wikipedia has to go on what has been written about it. Now consider that the controversy that GamerGate deals with is collusion and corruption in games journalism and the people that will write/report on GamerGate are games journalists (conflict of interest? bias?). InternetAristocrat appears to be among the more prominent figures in GamerGate, at least on Youtube. He says that GamerGate is a reaction to the one-sided dialogue that appeared in much of major games journalism as third-wave feminism and "social justice warriors" crept into the video game industry. Essentially, there was a message that gamers were all white, mysogynistic males with neckbeards. And, so, GamerGate just wants to reveal the collusion behind all of this, revealing secret mailing lists where co-ordinated article releases were planned, and instances where journalists had personal and sometimes financial relationships with the people they wrote about, for example.

Yeah, this, more or less. I'm not a very articulate person but that about sums it up.

I say it's changing, and has been for some time. And I think it has much more to do with gamers like me than it ever does Sarkeesian or Leigh Alexander at Gamasutra and their ilk. I and lots of female gamers like me actively participate, we compete, and once in a while we get to bust some myths. That's how you change things, not from an opposite podium.

I see Gamergate as nothing more than Newton's Third Law. They can make all sorts of lofty claims that they're taking a stand against general corruption and a lack of integrity in gaming journalism, but I see their existence as an equal and opposite reaction to the female bloggers at Kotaku and Gamasutra who are determined to keep stirring the pot.

I'm pretty confident that Lovers Lab has a far more diverse crowd lurking here than these bloggers could possibly care to admit. I'd love to hear some views.

I'd disagree with you there. GamerGate raised over $70,000 for a charity venture to get more women involved in game development. The people in GG are primarily left-leaning libertarians who do genuinely want to see more women in the gaming industry. What they don't want to see, however, is all this collusion, nepotism, cliqism. You're letting them pull the wool over your eyes and not seeing the bigger picture.

I'm a female gamer involved in GamerGate and I sure feel a hell of a lot safer with them. They won't try and speak for me, they let me speak for myself. They don't try and use me like a shield to deflect criticism either. Not one pro-GG person has threatened me or made me feel uncomfortable, but I've received plenty of threats, bullying and intimidation from people who supposedly claim to have my best interests at heart.

    Sorry for the double-post.

  13. I've found it fairly difficult to get any solid information on what this whole thing is about. Sources range from 'lass makes a review, lads flip their shit' to 'feminazi types nonsense, gamers unite through death threats'.

What I've been able to garner as a result of sifting through the ol' net, is that there's some woman whom made a couple of reviews. Folk being deplorable and the like, having found a target they can use to sate their aggression, have been making death and rape threats, as well creating feminazi strawmen.

Far as I'm concerned, we're just seeing humans displaying their fused chromosome; the two bases which fused to differentiate the homo sapien from the chimpanzee. Aggression and verbal degredation is standard fare; what is perhaps just as despicable as that, is how people defend the folk attacking the woman. It makes absolutely no sense.

But yeah. Humans being humans; belittling and threatening other humans. Fuckin' depressing.

That's not it at all. Not even close. Who's this person who made reviews? What are you on about? I never heard anything about that.

It's been about ethics and transparency in games journalism from day one. There's so much misinformation being thrown out there, I can understand how people would get some bad info, but for god's sake, do your research. There's a whole mess of good information out there, and it's not hard to find.

I'm very active in GamerGate. I was initially against it because I received bad info but after learning what it was actually about, doing the proper research and actually looking into things, I'm very pro-GG.

Just to be clear these people making threats don't speak for us. Like any group there will always be a rogue minority.

Actually I think SomethingAwful took credit for those death threats but don't quote me on that.

  14. I know a guy who labels himself a brony. My work took him on as a part-timer. He was really funny because he had no filter, so he would just say the most random, unrelated shit.

He also challenged one of my coworkers to an eating contest at the company's Christmas dinner, (which nobody accepted) but he ate like kobayashi anyway, until he got sick.

He bought a $2000 gold watch with the money he saved from working, instead of spending it on something that was actually practical or useful.

  15. Nah, mang. My boyfriend is skinny as a motherfucker. I like him that way.

I don't think guys need to be built like trucks. When I play as a male character I like to make them thin and tall. But I go for more magically or academically inclined characters, so I dunno.

It makes sense if you're playing a warrior character, though, because they're more physically involved, I guess?
