  1. Well put Ashal most peoples fear about the Facebook acquisition were pretty ridiculous.  A buyout is actually really good for Oculus as hardware is very expensive, they even mentioned since they don't have to worry about money they can sell the CV1 at cost. Many people weren't expecting Sony's headset to be so good, they are going to give Oculus stiff competition.  Ashal I didn't know you were into VR are you planning on incorporating the Rift into any mods?

As somebody who has purchased the first Oculus Rift devkit and has pre-ordered the new devkit the day it was announced last week, maybe I'm just drinking the kool-aid, but I find the response and backlash of the buyout to be nothing short of utterly embarrassing. Few communities know how to overreact and instantly assume the worse as much as gaming communities.

People screaming the Rift will be filled with ads over games are being completely unrealistic and clearly haven't a clue how hardware, or business for that matter, works. The computer monitor you are likely using to read this right now doesn't display ads over existing content, the Rift doing it would be no different. Forcing ads to display over content with required firmware would drive away developers and users alike in droves, and no company, Facebook included, is that oblivious.

Oculus is a hardware company, they will continue to focus on making a nice piece of hardware; which by their repeated statements, both pre and post Facebook buyout, would have a gaming first focus. Facebook is a software company, they'll make whatever software makes sense for them to make for it, and push the Rift vs other VR headsets as their preferred platform on that software.

Just because you (rhetorically) run a Windows computer doesn't mean your computer is best suited to, or only capable of, running Microsoft Word.

It's an obvious attempt by Facebook to expand into new markets beyond Social Media, a market they are likely well aware won't sustain them forever. I'm not a fan of Facebooks policies in general, but Facebooks strategy here is just to be at the forefront of a future market and maybe provide separate exclusive telepresence software that ties back into their network; thinking you'd have to login to a game with a Facebook account or buy it through some Facebook exclusive market just to use it is simply idiotic

  2.

Will be interesting to see how Doom 3 looks and plays since it is going to be given away with the release of the OR as being the first game made for it (or should I say Re-made for it). with backers like Valve, Scaleform and Epic maybe it will go further then the others before it. Time will tell.

Unfortunately, I have a very bad news for you... (unless there is a more recent update? I would love to be wrong on this one!)

Haha Old news! But don't worry, there are drivers that are making many games playable including doom 3.

  3. All I want, is for them to make a jump scare horror game for it, and record the reactions of someone playing it. Youtube comedy gold. :D

I mean seriously... that's the thing about horror games... they scare the SHIT out of you... until you see the edges of  the screen, look around your normal room, and realize you're safe. With this... that can't happen. Should be interesting. :3

Everyone always mentions they can't play horror games at night, now they will never play them :D

  5. I really hope is not another Virtual Boy charade. That thing got my eyes bleeding.

I have been following it religously for a few months and from everything I have seen it will not be another virtual boy, because the technology is finally here with smartphones providing very high resolution displays that are very small and sensors that enable the Oculus Rift to have VERY low latency headtracking that reduces lag and makes gaming with a VR headset almost perfect and it can only get better from here.

  6. I don't know how many of you even know about the Oculus Rift, but I thought I should at least show it to you all because of how exciting it is to me, and what it could bring to gaming and modding as well. Here are some links that you should look at http://www.reddit.com/r/oculus/     http://www.mtbs3d.com/

    and some pictures...

Now I mainly just want to know what you guys think of the future of gaming and adult gaming, and if any modders on this site were ever planning on using something like the Rift to make their adult mods more immersive.

  7. It would be nice if a dragon-loving Dovakiin could unlock Shouts by screwing dragons rather than killing them. You're absorbing part of their essence after all' date=' even if it's a part they're freely giving away. Maybe have a questline mod about dragonfucking for power.

I'm surprised I havent seen this video posted anywhere, but... this is kinda right up that alley.

  8. There isn't any Khajit NPC that can be married

... and millions of furry lovers threw up their arms and cried out in despair!

Well' date=' I guess that will be modded in, but these NPCS probably won't have voices. I guess I can do a decent Khajit voice for recording... if I chain-smoke a full pack of cigarettes just before.

  9. - A more realistic approach on sex mods. Someone here mentioned that he wants to see stomach bulges' date=' I personally hope we don't see that or anything like that. I understand that different people have different tastes, but Skyrim has a more or less very realistic style. Not grim and gritty, but realistic. Generic hentai fetishes like the mentioned stomach bulges would feel out of place. I mean, you don't even get a bulge on a woman's stomach if you shove a fist into her vagina. It's bad enough that any adult mod features perfect women with perfect bodies and men only have large or extra large peckers in their pants, not to speak of the genitals of creatures found in the game.

    [/quote']

I may not be to experienced when it comes to Stomach bulging but when we are talking about dragon pern mods, or most of the large mobs in the game wouldn't you kinda expect some sort of bulging? Nothing too extreme ofc, but just a little bit of extra animation could make these mods that much better... It is fantasy btw :P
