  1. So after getting CK on my comp finally, I thought I would attempt a "simple" project to start poking around in CK by taking one of the followers from the rk followers mod and seeing if I could successfully delete her Bullseye archery perk as it in fact became a bit game breaking for me (it makes paralyzed enemies a bit easier to handle than I want them to be, and boy, when she accidently paralyzes my squishy mage in the melee, hahahaha.... not good).

So I opened up CK, and selected the Skyrim.esm, clicked through the warnings. Then in the data window I find rk_follwers.esp and double right click it to set it active. But now I don't know if I should click ok to make the edit, click set as active file, or just click the details button, etc. Right now I am just tinkering and trying to see if I can accidentally stumble across what to do as my ignorance is at an all time high in trying this out (I did make sure to make a full back up of my current Skyrim folder just to be on the safe side though).

This is by no means a major priority for me at the moment, but I thought while I am googling and trying to navigate my way through this (albeit blindly) I would post here in case any had some time on their hands and felt like chiming in.

    Thanks!

  2. Thanks so much, but it was the current version of my modded game that I lost (my first pure mage paly through, but only at lvl 28, so I can live with it, and I use NMM, I haven't moved to MO though, I know, noobish of me). I have my cleaned files and the fresh install backed up to another drive, so if you get this in time, I would hate for you to go through the trouble. I've had the game up and running for about ten min now and just going through the mod install process again. In any event though, MANY thanks to you :)

  3. Well, that seemed to do it. Considering I lost my current install of Skyrim during last night's debacle (which I feel I am taking rather well, though I still would like to see a mod with GabeN's head on a pike, thus giving me a reason to install the Alive peeing mod) I can now move forward with trying my hand at learning how to make some armor mods and learn some cool tools like nifskope and blender in the process.

    Again, thanks for the input!

  4. Yeah, trying to install CK on a separate ssd that I bought and use for Skyrim only. I'm going to delete and reinstall steam altogether for now and try to reinstall it to my F drive (as I don't play anything else but Skyrim anyhow and I have to use a fresh install anyways) and see if I can get some resolution from that.

Thanks so much for all of the very speedy and useful replies, I was right to post my problem to the LL community.

Will report back for the sake of following up.

  5. So I'm no mega poster, but I've been on site for a few years now and have come to appreciate the expertise and advice by LL members, and thought I'd ask this here.

After a horrible mess of a few hours of trying to get steam to install the creation kit last night, I was at an utter loss as it just would not do so. I have my Skyrim on a separate ssd drive (F) and tried installing to different librairies, including the one steam defaulted to and the F install drive, and even deleted all the steam files/folders except for steamapps, steam exe., and user data to get steam to "repair" itself (in the horror of those events, steam somehow still managed to delete my steam apps folder too, meaning, bye-bye Skyrim game :(  thank god I have a fresh install copy backed up).  I got the missing steam_api.dll errors etc as my closest sign of maybe installing it. Anyways, it was an aggravating experience with no success.

So I started looking for alternate downloads that weren't steam based. I did find them, and from the comments I read, it seemed that "pirate" was the term I saw a lot regarding the non-steam copy of the creation kit and its target base.

I certainly have a legal copy of Skyrim (two if you consider my xbox 360 copy before I entered the PC world of gaming) so I'm wondering if the "non-steam" creation kit version will still work for me if I decide to try it (after scanning for viruses of course).

I'd like to try my hand at armor modding in the coming months, and while I can get blender and nifskope just fine, something tells me I'll be needing that elusive creation kit too.

Any thoughts from someone who has used this non-steam version (or hell, even how to get the steam copy to properly install for that fact!) would be very much appreciated.

    Thanks!

  6. Hey Blabba, just watched the vid and I've been quite excited about this since using your previous work and hearing about the uni-body project. Love the new name, I've been looking forward to this for quite a while now, and just wanted to thank and congratulate on your work thus far. Can't wait to see this released!

  7. If I can chime in, as a newbie user, I'm loving this guide, and I'd also love to see yours as well blabba, you sure as hell got me started off with outfit studio :)

Thanks Enskyment, this is a REALLY useful read, especially the havoc edits! That's where as a newbie, I really need an overly-descriptive tutorial.

When I read through your beginning tutorial blabba,I noted you mention the havoc edits to the .ini, but I didn't know what to put and where to put it. So I did some looking around and found this: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/articles/1153/?

I didn't want to ask you about the specifics of the havoc edits since I knew you were still working on your tutorial, and as you can see from the link itself, even this edit leaves out what Enksyment included (thanks!)

So anyways, here's to overly-descriptive FTW! Those details are exactly what a newbie like me needs.

One lingering thought about the skeleton of groovtama. I am going to eschew the xp32 1.93(a?) this time around to try out groovtama's to see if HDT is more pronounced this time around (I've gotten TBBP and HDT to work before, but the bounce effect on the butt was a bit underwhelming to me). I've been quite afraid to use any other skeleton because I use XP32's animation pack and it is one of my top mods. Without using his specific skeleton, I've been worried that the animation pack won't work, but from what I've read, the two are very similar, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed. If you have any thoughts on that, I'd be glad to hear them.

Anyways, I'm going on too long here...thanks to both of you for all your hard work to help out people like me!

  8. Just wanted to post a very sincere thank you for the guides. After multiple tutorials that were all lacking to varying degrees, I used your tutorials and successfully created my first conversion of CT77's Hentai Mixed Armor from CBBE to TBBP. I'm loving it.

I'm by no means an expert yet, but now I have a foundation from which to work and learn from. Again, my deepest gratitude for your sharing of your knowledge (not to mention the very useful way in which you present it!)

Here's a few screenshots demonstrating (as best as a screenshot can)

EDIT: Don't know what the hell was wrong with me posting .bmp files at first, here's some .jpg files instead...

  9. Deedlit, did you install Estrus for Skyrim recently? I just disabled it to check and it looks like that is the mod for me. Disabling took out that dialogue option, and enabling put it back in. Gonna go check out the forum posts for that upload and see if anything is mentioned about it there.

  10. Not too sure, but I think this could have been a dialogue option that was added by the SexiS mod (I only installed a house mod and a Distant LOD mod in addition to SexiS) but in my dialogue options there is now a "..." as a dialogue option.

Could be another mod entirely, but I thought this would be the thread to ask in. So does anyone know what mod would add "..." as a dialogue option?

    Thanks!

  11. Thanks! Man, so many replies so quickly, I really do notice/appreciate that :)

Yeah, I seem to get that impression about ~tfc as well, good to hear it confirmed though so I don't end up wasting time trying to chase that dead end down.  Definitely gonna play with this some more, see what I can figure out through experiementing and reading the boards... It's a safe bet I'll have some more questions down the road, I just want them to be intelligent questions that I tried to work out on my own first.

    Thanks again for the help!

  12. Yeah, it looks like I forgot to move the cupid esp over in that case...

Would be interested in checking out the other plugins, got to get past a few "glitches" right now though. Was able to get it working now, only thing I can see being off is when using ~tfc to pan around during the animations, once they are completed and I ~tfc again, my character is frozen in place. I call it a glitch vs. bug because I'm sure it's somethign I'm doing on my end right now, just need to figure it out

    Damn nice animations though :)

  13. Quite possibly the dumbest question asked YET about this mod...

    How do I work it?

Been looking around through the FNIS idle selectors, etc (are the animations assigned to one of those, by chance?)

I can config everything through the config spell, but I see no other spells to use to activate the anims, and so far the FNIS selections I've made are pretty standard FNIS fare?

What I am doing wrong? I'm completely lost as to how to acutally get the animations started.

    Thanks :)

  14. yeah, I wouldn't even know where to start on that, it's been a learning curve just trying to figuring installing the mods correctly versus actually trying to MAKE them, which I'm not sure I'd even have the knack for, but thanks for the reply anyway :)

  15. Agreed, it seems to simulate squirting more than anything else.

I'm curious, and I almost feel bad requesting this being I'm so new to the site and people already have so many projects going on from what I've read here, but is there a chance someone could revamp this to look more like the Estrus animation? I'm a HUGE fan of female wetness so this is a must have mod for me, even in it's current state.

What I really liked about Estrus was not just the color (the jelly beans are kinda weird I admit) but even more so, the "Wet Effect."

Don't know if that's a huge chore or not (the color upgrade and the weteffect) but if it's doable, all I could offer is ALOT of my personal gratitude (and my firstborn should that day ever arrive :) )

  16. Worked beautifully, I should have noticed that spell there, just been messing around with maxing disposition and using dialogue and testing things out so far...

While I have your attn though, was curious if there is a reason why the partners clothes won't come off (I set clothing settings, works for PC but not working for NPC, unless it's "remove nonplayable equipment" setting that gives you a warning about screwing something up due to custom races, etc.)

And yeah, a read me of sorts would definitely help, even though I refer to this as a more basic mod (in comparison to other lovers mods ONLY to be clear) it still has alot you can set up and knowing what I'm doing ahead of time would be great...

    Thanks again Greg

  17. Thanks Greg,

Have been trying to find something along the lines of a readme, possibly for an older version of the mod...

for example, reading through this thread (or another, i can't remember) I saw you could use 1-4 or 9-0 for position adjustments, something I didn't know about, and saw something somewhere else about an "e" / "e+shift" function as well (can't recall what that does, gonna try it out shortly here)...

Basically I'm looking for something that might list things like the above commands to help tweak it some...

Will look for that settings spell Greg and see what comes of it... Will post how it goes either way and thanks again

Excellent mod, EXACTLY what I was looking for, something basic and simple giving sex anims and opportunities without the many extras that accompany many of the other mods :)

  18. After giving up for serveral days with anything "lovers," decided to come back and try this one out as just a very basic addition from the lovers family to my game... the good news is, it's seeming to work right now, so yippie!

But, wondering if there is a way to extend the length of the animations some how...? Still looking to see if I can find info on this myself, just wanted to post ahead of time in case I can't... tx :)

  19. Thanks again Greg, these are suggestions I've done a whole lot of already though sadly enough. I've gone step by step several times with multiple uninstalls/reinstalls of the game in the order Razarkis's outline, and then some. I did notice your reply to another poster who detailed similar yellow exclamation point block problems, and two links were reccomended to remedy the situation were the same base and resource files Razarkis starts us off with once the passive installs are complete. Since I already started with those two files for the start of the Lovers installs on each install I performed, the links unfortunately weren't able to help me. I do use archive invalidation by default on each file to be on the safe side and I do so considering the order I load the plugins into OBMM so that I'm keeping certain overwrites to the beginning of the process so the files like skeleteons, meshes, textures, etc in later added plugins are the ones I intend to have loaded and working. But I could go on, and what I should really do is just simply say "thanks!" :)

I really appreciate the attempt to help out and to the other forum regulars as well, and even though it looks like I'm just NOT going to get Lovers content to work with my install, at the very least I can say I learned ALOT about installing non-Lovers mods and keeping them in order and running, so at least I came out with something useful to show for it :)

Looks like great stuff here ppl, too bad I won't be able to use any of it, but at least I found a GREAT resource that taught me alot, and I'm sure to refer back once in a while if just to educate myself in the absence of the great work over here :)

    Thanks again all :)
