Yes I understand. One of my greatest weakness are textures and meshes. Understanding them etc. I would like to get a head start before I get trampled 5 minutes after CK is released. :).

In all seriousness I am curious if or what extend the files have changed as well. I am sure others are. Once I extract them I can start playing with them, getting use to the file tree etc. (doubt it changed much from Fallout NV). With any luck nothing has changed with the Nif tools and other "stuff"needed to edit replacers. :D

Have your testers take a few screenshots of the new restored content along with their bug reports. Make it easier on you and make it so you really only have to focus on the bug reports and restoration.

I think we are hurting ourselves by trying to fix the files and such while the forum is updating to the new software. Anyway I hope that didn't mess you up to much..

If the BSAs can be extracted. (decompressed) I would like to do that as well and start exploring the files. Perhaps we can discuss stuff like this through PM? (basically you show me whats going on.. lol:)). for once I might be able to do something when the new GECK/CK comes out.

AS for play it is OK .. it feels like I am playing a game from 1990's. but so far It is functional and solid. I have been playing the directors cut version.

I haven't quite got my skilll to the point where I can handle the current level combatants but I have sat there for a good 10 minutes just hacking and hacking more and more until I either finish all of them or some got some good luck and hit me enough where I needed to retreat to get healed. Recently I reached a level where the shielded baddies were now becoming more common. It takes a bit of time to get used to jumping over them to strike the back and those giant dog like creatures I for...
