  1. If you want you can create a shortcut to your Downloads folder on your desktop etc

drag your downloaded mods (non Nexus mods) into that folder (shortcut)

    Open MO

click on the mod and install. I check the manual for all non FMODS just to be sure the folder is correct but if you screw up.. NO PROBLEM. just reinstall the mod again. Check is also easy for this issue. just (right click i believe) on the mod and open in explorer or just open MO and look at your mods folder in side is all the mods you have installed. Check to see if the folder structure is correct.. you know, Textures, Sounds, Meshes, BSA, ESP, ESM etc If not you know you installed it wrong. If you use Huds get UIO.

  2. I believe there is a lot of work needed before that can be done.

    Script extenders (if possible)

Anination tools (perhaps if not the same as before)

Niftools (why animate the dam underwear ed NPCs :P)

BS2 extractor( couldn't extract that yet myself. Can't see what is gong on without thta)

and finally a new Creation Kit/ GeCK for this game to be able to change and add records, scripts and other necessities.

I am sure CPU could even add to this list of what is needed before animations framework could be started. However I believe at least the majority of those discussing this has settled on a name.. lol :)

Well, I wanted to like it, but ... it's missing something. I just don't feel any great compulsion to go and investigate.

OK, the frame-rate I'm getting isn't helping. I run into one of those mutant mosquito things and by the time I've wrestled my gun round to the right direction and engaged VATS, I'm suddenly dead. But I'm fairly certain I could work around that with a bit of effort. I just don't feel greatly motivated to make the effort.

As much as anything else, I think it's that I don't much care about my character. I didn't find the voice acting as annoying as I'd expected, the dialogue wheel is irritating, but livable with ... I just don't care about these people somehow. Which is weird, since seeing your spouse shot in front of you and your child abducted ought to produce a reaction but ... they just don't seem all that real.

I've got a long overdue upgrade planned. Once that's done and I have something a bit better specced I'll give it another shot, but right now, I'd sooner be playing Borderlands.

I haven't come across a character that I can connect to. I have tried and walked to several towns in sequence (from the game) and just random wandering. Nobody has engaged me enough to make me care. The closest thing is the Dog. However every time I turn around he is gitting hurt and whimpering. The animations for his injury and actions are creepy and makes me feel so bad that I will start to leave him behind me when i go in fighting.

  4. the powerarmor when jumping from very high like several stories and slamming down on the grown. The sound.. pretty good :). Still haven't been able to get jet packs working. Not sure if i need to do something. They could use a bit more on hints for the Power Armor rack and modifications. Actually better guidance on mods in general but so far I was able to figure out all those.

Still haven't been able to find a steal-able Power Armor or made any modifications. Did start again to be more streamlined since I made choices that later I didn't like. Didn't get far. Have to change the FOV because I get sick (motion sickness dam large black alien eyes)

Sad. Something came up next week which requires me to go to the main mothership and meet with fellow aliens. I hadn't expected that. However might mean another promotion. Perhaps I won't have to be elbow deep in anal probes.  ... wait. that didn't sound right :P WE never are elbow deep (well at least for humans that is... well for most .. a few.. abnormalities. require it.. but it is rare honestly.. :P)

  5. Quote

people often dont know what to think therefore they count on the media to inform them,

this isn't the first, second, third, or even forth game they released. This is the third in the series of fallout (Fallout 3, FNV and not Fo4.) If providing the quality and delivering what is expected consistently and regularly the customers that they had before, would be back right off the back for the most part. The word of mouth would have already built up the brand and nowadays Youtube and fan sites give more advertisement than ever in the past. Throw some game shows and call it a wrap. Most state they haven't been consistent and that is costing them money. Look at any brand. Those that proved consistent reliable service/product has strong customer base. Some might not be huge as their competitors but rest assured that when they produce something it will be consumed.

Yeah while the map may be tiny as hell, there's detail galore. Every single square inch of the world basically looks hand-crafted, without the large open stretches of nothing but a few flowers in Skyrim, basically the stuff you never stopped to check out if you had a horse. Now you don't have a horse, but you don't have those areas either.

I was expecting more exploration. Has anyone went into the tunnels below the towns. At least one town had a sewer system (first one after Sanctuary) Mirelurk (well like Mirelurks anyway) are down there. These are like Oblivion isk areas. I expected to be able to pop in and out of buildings and such but most are boarded up :angry:I thought this was going to be more open. However I wonder if access can be gained by other ways. lke the roof, sewer etc.

this is not how market works. quality of product is irrelvant just as the argument in politics. presentation/marketing is what matters and will appeal to masses and with good presentation u can sell any turd. this is why over 50% of cost goes to marketing in most big productions. market is inherently anti rational.

This isn't related to marketing .. well not exactly. Providing what your customers expect and being consistent is what helps keep your business running. Apple is one such example. They have high standards, innovate but not too far or two fast and provide their customers (core) what they expect for the most part. They aren't trying to add everything and the kitchen sink or moving into other non related fields. They provide a consistent product. They won't be the majority of the market. They don't care to be.

If Bethesda did the same with their products they would be providing for those that are loyal (like apple) and they wouldn't have people worried about what was going to be how the product would be there would be more day one purchases, more money gained for each venture quicker. Providing consistency as well as product reliability is the key. Marketing can and usually takes care of itself at that point. Apple did the same thing (market) the iTunes and iPOd greatly until recently. Now it is strong product that most know. No need to spend Marketing. ;).

If they kept their product likes clean and dedicated to the core customers of each line. Fallout, Tes etc and developed for them they would/ could have separate fan bases, consolidate their technology (game engine, assets etc) and developed new tech (lighting etc physis, animations) and roll them out appropriately to the various lines of product they have improving them but keeping their core idea. (like the iMac, or Apple TV which recently gained a boost in functionality but at its core it is still the same machine that those that fell in love with it experienced before)

Bethesda's actions cause doubt in their core customer base. A very bad thing. This isn't productive for a company. This isn't desirable.

Those settings are just how likely you'll get pregnant, I just listed whatever I have myself, which nearly guarantees pregnancy through non-forced methods. I don't really have any "official" recommended settings.

Official or not.. That is still good to mention. :D

There's a barber and a plastic surgeon in Diamond City, so there's no need to use console commands. They're pretty cheap, too. Also you can unlock new hairstyles and tattoos with certain magazines, and the post apocalypse has a few hairstyles that weren't availabe when you started the game. There's also quite a few new face paint options, though most of them turn you pretty much into a raider.

In the screen between loads it mentioned both the surgon and the tattoo books :D

    ON another subject.

Has anyone been to the superduper mart? Daaaammm !!!

They are making more money wich is why its like this, when your hobby becomes a business where milions circle arround, there is no room for whats fun and real improvement, its just a chase for money.

Thats what games are becoming now, a wet dream of businessmen.

But this is a double edged knife, as their player base becomes broader it becomes also more fickle, bethesda barely meets the standards of a 2008 game let alone 2015 and sooner or later they are gonna shoot themselfs in the foot.

Hype can work both ways and the word spreads fast about a buggy mess unable to hold to quality of present games.

Most are missing the power of fans. When you have a strong fan base like is possible with Fallout you have people that will buy your stuff. They will buy pretty much everything you can make when you make it. Trying to cater to other "fans' is shortchanging your fanbase and in the end shortchanging your self (company) because the core fans will wait (as happened here) until they can be sure of what has happened.

Focus on the main task. Take care of your customers and provide what they need to the best of your ability and you will always have business. By all means dabble in other product, styles etc to gain other "fans' or customers but keep the main story line of each solid and intact.

ON another note what I hate.

Dam feralGhouls. Bethesda is trying to make them unkillable zombie hords. If you are into that sort of thing.. This is a like. Me not so much. Yes Threedog makes a comment about shooting them in the head in Fallout 3 but dam.. shotgun to the face and they keep on coming. :s

I'm liking it, so far. I'm a bit annoyed about all the boarded-up houses in Concorde - calling ChuckSteel!

I was able to make a nice looking character pretty easily, she walks kinda' funny, though. I almost played

as a dude until I took a stab at creating a female character, and it only took about ten minutes to get

"I wouldn't mind boning her" as a result. Her voice acting is pretty good; but the lip-sync for the NPC's

    is fucked up

The whole thing is a bit overwhelming; there is a shit load of detail, although I couldn't find any

explanation on how to crank up the damn laser musket :@

Use "R" to crank. You might need to press that a few times to get a full charge each time you shoot. Not a bad weapon to start considering it is free ammo but you will want to switch to something more automatic if you fight mutiple enemies.

I made the mistake of setting up a little home base FOR MYSELF in Sanctuary.  Then I go to Concord and help out Garvey.  The next thing I know have these wastelanders I do not know walking around in my house, using my stuff and asking ME for food.  I'm like 'Who the fuck are you people?'  So I moved to the Red Rocket.  The only thing there is a sleeping bag and a footlocker.

Yea... wait until they expect you to build power poles or beds for the newcomers. :D It is part of the "civ" type development. You know those civilizations you can carve out of the map.

  13. Ive encountered a bug. A big one. There is a area where an excavation is flooded. Looks like a quarry. Well The entire structure is covered over with a mesh and covering the main part of the graphics. You walk through about knee high and have to peek through that block to see anything to be able to solve the problems that the quest ask. I just went to a previous save and left it. I am sure it will be fixed some time later.

  14. 4 hours and I also had no real concealable glitches or issues. LIke Sacremas occasionally some minor issue occurs but nothing major. I have played Fallout 3 near release and Fallout NV on release date. This so far as been the best experience glitch wise and bug related. Their QA team did a pretty good job finding the major game breaking bugs.

What I do everytime before restarting the game which has been about three times so far. I verify the cache. Once before I even started the game it downloaded 50 or so mb fix so they are working on patches as we play. Some might be having issues with the game because they haven't updated their graphic drivers or have weaker machines.

It has been a pretty smooth ride so far.

@Sacremas If you don't mind me asking what type of system do you have. I have a 4790K and a GTX970 with >16gigs of ram.

Ive had one near  sanctuary. It goes all green, and you get a lot of radiation if not sheltered.

    That's strange, because I didn't get any :?

It is random and does happen however most of the time it seems to be to a lesser degree. I got caught up in a full on storm and it was dark, green and radiation filed. Not enough that even y low level character was concerned but enough to seriouly change the lighting and characteristic of the game. Nice.

Just a heads up to anyone taking on Companions. Beware Your Companion’s Kleptomania. at some point your going to want them to carry your stuff and find the computer tells you they can hold no more. they have a tendency to pick up weapons and ammo ALOT during your travels. Finding your companion has 600 fuel cells to give you, powering your energy pistols well into the future may be a bit of an unwanted surprise :) or being burdened down with about 200 pounds of stuff you never told him/her to pick up. may not always happen but better to know early on that it can. LOL

Nice.. If this continues that would be very welcome. I will have to remember to touch base with companions to "fill up" .. I never really used the as pack rats and think I will like them gathering up their supplies on their own. (with some to give to me :D)

I haven't tried it myself, but it's supposed to be "showlooksmenu player 1" (open the console while in 3rd person mode) and if the camera is pointing too low go into and out of body edit mode.

EDIT: also, you will get the chance to edit your character early on, just like with New Vegas when you wandered far enough from Goodsprings, and when leaving the vault in FO3.

Thanks I passed that point already to re-edit my character. I thought it was what I wanted and in reality it is quite good compared to what I had before with previous games. Just a bit too dark. I like the skin textures, scars (well some of them) and blemishes. Gives character. Not as good as many of the mods that come after wards for the various games but pretty good for a start. I could almost see myself playing this game as a console player and being satisfied and this is day one. No game breaking bugs so far for me.

I tried that command and didn't get it to work .. however i have ran into some user issues getting things to work because of issues with fingers on the keyboard. I have taken a nap and is refreshed and will go back. Before I left I spent the better part of an hour just working on building and supplies. lol.

  17.  I seen this somewhere.. however I can't find it here anyomre.

I want the new command for fallut "showracemenu" .. The light in the bathroom was brighter than it should be and now my skin is slightly darker than I want. I would like to change this if possible. I like my character othwwise. Nice tools to create a decent character. I can't wait until someone creates Racemenu type tools for this.. :D. Epic Win when they do.
