If you are looking for male armor mods than specifying that you use CBBE is irrelevant because it's a female body that only affects females.

I have the SAM body for males and UNP top model for females , but i use armors that are made for other bodies and quite often they look fine! 

Usually when an armor is "revealing" is when you need to be concerned with incompatibility and seems, i'm saying this because most male armors are nor revealing and thus would not cause any issues mostly regardless.

I'm no expert though and am surely wrong on some points.

I kind of figured as much. I don't use any male body replacer. I tried to use a better kajiht race one awhile back, but I don't think it made any difference. Thanks for the suggestions.

Hrm. Maybe I should've made the title a little more clear.  :x

So, I've been playing Skyrim for awhile now and have decided I'd like to add more variety in clothes an armor. I use the CBBE body type, though I use a male character which I think is still a default body type. Additionally I use a Kajiht.  Does anyone have some suggestions for a variety of armor/clothing? 

I already use Immersive armors, and I have gone through many pages of Nexus. But I consistently run into the issue of either beast-races being unsupported or the mods being for none CBBE body types.  :<

Disabling the gate an entering the script for 'setstage' seemed to work the best out of the bunch.

Are you using the Unofficial Skyrim Patch? I haven't had this issue since installing it.

I'm using all the Unoffical Skyrim Patches.

I'm doing the Nightingale quest where you get the nightingale armor, but Karliah is broken. When we get to the part where she has to pull down the chain to activate the gate she walks up but a few feet shy of the chain before turning around and walking right out of the cave. So I'm currently stuck, I tried to tcl through the gate and stand on the platform the quest marker is at but it didn't change anything cause she kept walking off. I don't think this is a mod related issue an I'm not sure if a papyrus report would have an AI error in it, any suggestions?

Man, you do have the same errors I had ) It's from schlongs of skyrim. More precisely, the imperial male schlong, go to mcm and remove that race from schlongification, then wait 3 days ingame and you'll be able to leave that cell. This method works but maybe someone has a better option. I am curious too.

But yeah, I mean, I've found work arounds. But having these constant hiccups can put a damper on ones gaming experience.

You have almost only errors in your papyrus.

Have you installed and removed many mods?

 

the mod list you provided does not say anything we actually need your load list.

 

When you are waiting for answers from others perhaps you should try to run LOOT on your game.

And some of your mods are old and should not be used together whit some of your mods.

I have installed a lot has well has reinstalled.

Sorry, I exported my mod list from Mod Manager, I thought that would copy them in order of the load they are set in. guess I was wrong.

I have run LOOT.   Which of my mods are old an shouldn't be run together? I've only got mods that are compatible. OR at at least compatible has far has the makers know.

Edit:  Alright, so asides from this being an ongoing off-an-on issue, I have found that a useful work around is teleporting. I used the Underground bathhouse teleport spell and it took me back and from there I could continue the game without issue.  But I'd like to know if there is a better work around/fix for this kind of CTD.

Alright, so I am having a new issue that whenever I'm trying to leave wolf skull cave through the front or back entrance it causes a CTD. An lately I've been having this issue with a lot of quest related locations causing my character to be able to enter, but not be able to leave the same way they came in. Or at all. It may also be an issue with misbehaving mods when you start controlling an other character though.

 

Dude, you are simply teleported and restricted. Scripting the game to put you in control of another character would be a nightmare and not worthwhile just for a short portion of a quest.

Well, I posted up my mod list and script if you think that is the case bjornk.  I am going to see if Kayn's suggestion works.

That quest is a "nightmare" to finish, without a CTD. The last official patch claims to address the issues with it, but don't know what it actually does. Switching to another character to control is probably the root of all its issues.

That is literally what I was thinking. I figured it was obviously because the whole changing bodies thing must be the issue. Like maybe they delete your PC and it causes the crashes because the game tries to send you back an can't find you or something.

I had that problem too, the fix is easy. You just have to go to that blue forcefiled or whatever it is, write tcl (toggle free camera) get through the magic shield, and activate the soulgem that is creating it. That's all. don't forget to type tcl again to go back to clip mode

So, sure the quest 'Waking Nightmare' the quest for Vaermina that nets you the Skull of Corruption I'm getting CTD at a very specific point, I'm at the part that has me using the Vaermina Torpor and I get to the part where I need to bring down the barrier an the game crashes to desktop. Since you're using Mod Organizer you don't need to reinstall anything. Nothing at all. The reason is that MO keeps all that junk outside of the Skyrim folder so reinstalling just returns the game to the exact same state! That's the biggest reason to use MO in the first place.

 

So come here with very specific questions so we can give specific answers to fix those issues. That's all. Forget about reinstalling anything.

Install FNIS into MO just like any other mod. Then go to the right pane and click the data tab. Scroll down until you find FNIS and open folders until you find the Generate for Users file. Right click it and set as an executable. Then run FNIS through MO. The generated files will be in overwrite afterward. I like to right click the overwrite folder and choose "create mod". I name this pseudo mod after the profile's name (like "XXXX Overwrites") and keep it activated at the bottom of the left pane.

Oooh yeah. I remember that being in Gopher's videos. It didn't make much sense to me at the time.  x0x

From what I've heard pretty much everyone uses the unofficial patches.  o.O

I removed AFT and upgraded my Racemenu. 

Should I reinstall the Unofficial skyrim patch if it's being buggy?
Likewise would reinstalling the remaining dodgy mods help alleviate the issues they are having?

 

So, I am having a new error now. Now my game is crashing while I'm trying to transition to a new area. The log is attached.

aft seems a bit messed up, but that a reinstall should fix too many follower overhauls there, I see eff in the load order as well, choose 1 or the other

Better Beast Races might be what I see giving all the dlc errors with werewolves and vamps

racemenu 3.3 is also said to be buggy, upgrading it to 3.4 should fix this

As for what is wrong, well hopefully since I deleted skyrim and stuff nothing. I'm going to spend most of today reinstalling and trying to figure things out. Though odds are I'll end up needing help an there won't be anyone around too help like usual.

Additionally. Where explicitly should I put FNIS?  I have it in my Mod Organizer folder, which is separate from my Skyrim folder, which is apparently causing errors. And ontop of that I can't seem to find a location for FNIS that allows it to identify all of my mods.  This is proving to be especially aggravating.

 

 

FNIS is installed through Mod Organiser (if your running that).

 

Then you run the FNIS for user tool through Mod Organiser, after adding it as a executable.

This is what I've got. Doesn't seem to read anything about a fatal error or what not.

Either minidumps are not enabled in your SKSE.INI or your SKSE cannot detect your SKSE.INI file.

Because if it was enabled:

• You'd be able to find this folder (it is created even if there's been no crash):

  C:\Users\(user)\Documents\My Games\Skyrim\SKSE\Crashdumps

   

• There would be a "minidumps enabled" line after "config path = " in your SKSE.LOG. It isn't there in the log file you've attached.

 

I'm not quite sure, but your SKSE.LOG tells me that you have some other issues with your mods and their load order as well. 

 

Sounds about right. I keep trying to activate the minidumps, and I've written the activation line in my SKSE folder, but I don't know why t doesn't write out a debug line.  But yeah, I already figured there is a conflict somewhere in my load order. But it's compatible on some level because I am on occasion able to play.  For instance, right now I seem to be able to play as long has I avoid White water cave. A bandit cave related to the dark elf Janessa for a lover quest line. But if I go into said cave then whenever I try an leave it the game CTDs.

We all started modifying Skyrim the same way. You learn as you go. Some find it fun actually. Once you learn enough the rest becomes easy, it just falls into place.

 

If you need help just ask. Of course, it's a forum so you might have to wait a bit for an answer. I don't know of any place more helpful than LoversLab or one that's any faster. Nexus has a larger membership, but getting answers there is kinda' tough.

I'm about to give up on skyrim. There just isn't enough tech support for a new person to get into it apparently. Every time I run into a problem I have to wait a day for a reply that usually doesn't help and I end up jury rigging a temporary solution that never lasts longer then a day.  :/   An as much has I'd like to support the site and the mod designs, it just seems like a money sink from my current point of view.

And today I am just learning about ENBs.  -head desk.-  Great.  An now I have to see if I can get some help figuring out how to use this new doo-dad.
