[blender]Need some suggestions for converting with thicker thighs

Alright I'm having issues trying to convert this iroha bottom

for a custom body of mine..

problem is with the thighs...

everytime I try to resize the area near the upper thigh

It screws up the other side. (Say for instance I'm resizing the right boot, while I'm reszing the right side, the left boot gets inadvertently affected due to proportional editing)

In edit mode, select all the verts for one of the boots and hit "H" to hide it. Alt+H will unhide it. When moving verts, you can also use the scroll wheel to change the area effected by proportional editing (might be hard to see at times, but a large circle represents the area).

If you're willing to be a guinea pig, I just created an automated lattice generator.

It's in an experimental phase, but once you have a good lattice, 90% of the work of clothing transformations is done.

I went ahead and used thor's technique

but Gerra that blender script sounds real promising, I must check that out when i get some free time to do some conversions!
