Load Order Issue

So the other day I used BOSS in order to determine where Better Cities is supposed to go (it's been a while since I used it so I completely forgot). I thought I had saved my previous load order, but apparently I did not and ended up having to put it back together all over again. Pain in the ass. Anyway, I managed to get it back together, although I had to guess a bit with the merged mods. The game is working again, but as always, something went wrong. Every single guard in the game is completely nude, except for sword and shield. I swear, every time I load up this game... ergh.

I figure I screwed up with the order of the mergable mods or something, but hell if I know. It's been a while since I worked with my load order anyway, so this would be a good time for me to ask for some help with it.

The sexual organs esp files should be in your bashed patch and not enabled. They can screw things up if they are enabled.

CHILDREN ANNUAD.esp - why is this beneath your bashed patch? It should be way up near the top of your load order so it doesn't cause conflicts.

Same thing for these two - they should be above your bashed patch:

8E Synx.esp

8F SMSynx.esp

Are you sure you were supposed to install both of these:

DLCShiveringIsles Vwalk UOS.esp

DLCShiveringIsles Vwalk DG_DS UOS.esp

LoversDoctor.esp - this is an extremely old lovers plugin that may not be compatible with current versions of lovers with PK.

LoversGroup1.esp - same story as lovers docter - this is old and tends to be quite buggy.

You need to move LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp under Lovers3dorgasm.esp so that it looks like this:

Lovers3dorgasm.esp

LoversAnimObjectsPriority.esp <---this should always be the lowest lovers plugin.

Not sure that it is ok to run both of these:

AinmhiRace.esp

AinmhiRaceReworked-RensBeautyPackFull.esp

Check the readme file information.

As to your guards - after using BOSS and then redoing your load order did you rebuild your bashed patch and start a new game?

Couple things:

1. SMSynx has to be under SMChorrol to work. Should I put SMChorrol above my bashed patch as well?

2. I didn't start a new game, I loaded a save. I've never had problems with that.

Yea, put SMchorrol above your bashed patch too. It is pretty much a conflict mod as far as I have been able to tell.

Anytime you move things around in your load order, rebuild your bashed patch, disable plugins you always need to make a clean save at the bare minimum. If you don't at least make a clean save then you will have things still present in your saved game that can screw things up.

A new game is best as that starts you with a clean slate but a clean save usually will work for most things.

Huh. Well now my problem is this:

Vtoy has to be under the patch.

SMVtoyCross has to be under SMChorrol and Vtoy.

SMSynx has to be under SMChorrol.

I think I might just have to bite the bullet until I get all the way through CLS. After that I'm uninstalling it.

If you need to move all of those under your bashed patch to keep them running (sometimes plugins that are script heavy need this) then go ahead and do it. It should not cause too much of a problem. If it does then we can perhaps find a compromise.

I've not had any real problems with my load order for quite some time now, and I know all of my normal mods are in the correct area because I reorganized them according to the last save I had. But of course, that little window that shows the mods that were active doesn't show merged or imported ones. Something must be wrong with one of those. Stuff like this doesn't just happen out of the blue. And I've installed no new mods since the last time the guards were wearing clothing, with the exception of Better Cities, which isn't even active in my load order because I'm trying to get this taken care of.

Today I loaded up to see if it was every single guard or just most of them. There was a guard in Bruma who was fully dressed, but all the others were just walking around buck-naked. That has got to be cold as hell.

The only thing I can think of is that the Beautiful People and x117 plugins are out of order. I'm not sure how this would relate to my problem, but stranger things have happened due to load order in the past. Take one mod and put it somewhere else, and a completely different mod gets whacked.

Actually it may be even more complicated since you have a bashed patch other things can be included in it that are not merged so it could be anything.

Best thing to do is note down some of the guards that are naked and use tes4edit to check and see what the last mod that is messing with their armor and\or inventory is. This can help you figure out what mod is breaking things.

Huh. Well, from what I'm seeing here, the Bashed Patch might actually be the culprit. Somehow.

As you can see, there's no mention of Colorwheel's Sexy Imperial Legion. Not for a single one of the Chorrol guards, which it would show if there was a problem as every one of them is strutting around nude. And when I went under the mod itself and checked, it didn't show any problems for any of the normal guards either. It showed something about some of the guard NPCs with actual names and such, but I'm not having problems with them.

Ok, first thing is first - why in the blue blazes is Oblivion.esm not the very first plugin on the table?!?! (hint - it should be on the far left side and not ACBS - whatever that is).

Secondly, nothing on that table shows any of the guards armors so in theory they should have whatever their default clothing is by the Oblivion.esm

Third, colourwheels mod doesn't effect 'every' guard, but it does cover most of them. When they are off duty they take off their armor and put on clothing. If none of the guards have colourwheels mod involved then you need to make sure you actually have the esp enabled and installed in the correct location as it should appear in the list.

I dunno why it's not on the left, I just loaded up everything and TES4Edit did whatever it wanted.

Also, I can assure you that I do, as a matter of fact, have the esp enabled, and have had it enabled this entire time.

Never mind about oblivion.esm & the ACBS thing - I forgot that is just the column info stuff.

Kill one of the guards with the console command 'kill' (make sure you have hit the selected them and see their name and formid in the top of the screen or you will die instead) and then look in their inventory and see if they have armor inside named 'CW - " something or other. If you are playing a female PC try putting the armor on to see if it shows up.

Upon inspection, there is no armor in their inventory at all other than shields.

The Imperial Guards still have their helmets, but no other armor either.

Then something is completely messing things up. I don't know what to tell you other than to remove Colourwheel's Sexy Imperial Legion, rebuild your bashed patch and start a new game to see if that works.
