I have not received an activation email and cannot activate my account what should I do?

Sometimes even though you have registered and everything seems to go fine some people never receive the activation email. This guide has been created to help you get up and running in the event that you never get that all important activation email.

First off do not panic, due to the nature of how the site works it could take up to 24 hours for activation emails to come through sometimes even longer.

Please make sure that you have checked that your email is correct and that the activation email has not been accidentally placed inside your junk box within your email account.

You can ask any site moderator or even the site administrator to resend your activation email again if you have not received it. Simply contact them using the email address you signed up with and provide your LoversLab username in the email.

At this point you should wait 36 hours for the activation email to come through.

If you still have not received a activation email after 36 hours it would be practical to contact the site administrator about activating your account.

Does it have to be a administrator, why not a moderator?

It has to be the site administrator. The site administrator is the only person on the site that can activate your account if you have not received the activation email.

How do I contact the site administrator about getting my account activated?

If your account is not activated the only way you can contact the site administrator is by email. You can contact the site administrator at the following address, users are advised to make sure they do the following when contacting the administrator to make things smoother.

Administrator's email: ashal@loverslab.com

- Send the email using the email address you signed up with.
- Put the subject of the email as "Requesting Account Activation" without the quotes.
- Provide the username which you entered at registration.
- DO NOT send your password in the email as it is not needed. It is not needed for the administrator to activate your account.

Can I contact the administrator through the LoversLab IRC channel about this issue?

NO, due to the sensitive nature regrading account information and account activation there are security concerns regrading using the IRC channel about getting your account activated. Plus the administrator sometimes my not be on the IRC channel.

Due to how IRC works anyone can enter the channel with the name of another. This fact alone makes it impossible for you to know who is on the other end of that name. You could end up giving information to the wrong person who would then most likely do malicious things with your details.

Due to this if you need to contact the administrator please do so by using the method above.
