Looking for a children overhaul/replacer

Currently playing HF with a multiple adoption mod and as the children of Skyrim look like clones, I'm looking for a mod that diversifies children. Does anyone know any?

I'm not looking for a playable children race or anything like that. Just want more variety in children. Perhaps a race based difference in appearance, maybe a slight difference in height/weight, different hair styles/colors, different face textures etc. are all welcome.

I'm also looking for a mod that doesn't interfere with vanilla assets too much, except with the ones that actually belong to children.

One of the few mods that modify children visually is Yii children of the sky. It adds new clothes, but you can use vanilla clothes if you want [thankfully]

The only issue I've seen with this mod is that there is a big seam on the cloth texture for boys.

Other than that, you could try to add more species. There are two khajiit child mods, and one argonian boy hatchling on the nexus.

Isn't it bundled with Yii children of the sky? I'm sure I got an extra esp with that name.

Yes, it is included. If you just want to change the look of NPC children, then xvision is all you need (although it does have an option for player race). If you want to play a childrace in addition to changing the NPCs, then CotS is a fuller experience.
