blender error

hello everyone !

so ... i'm having a problem with blender that i never had before

and i don't think i touched any of blender's files/scripts !

when i try to import a nif i get this error :

ValueError: invalid enum value (32)

i searched a bit and most people has this problem because they didn't have the right file version.

so i reinstalled everything following this order :

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/3790

what is also odd is that when i open Blender is says that it is using Python Version 2.6.2 ... and i installed 2.6.6 !!

ARGH !

could it be because i'm using 3ds max too ?

regards

igora

Sorry about the late reply, I didn't see this post until today.

That error comes from the fact that the release version of Niftools for Blender is not terribly compatible with Skyrim.

Would you be willing to do me a favor? Try importing the nif again. When is errors out, go to your Blender console and do the following.

First, Right click on the title bar at the top. This should give you a small popup context menu.

Click on 'edit' and then 'select all'

Now hit enter.

This will copy the contents of the console window to your clipboard.

Next, paste that into a response to this thread (please also put a spoiler tag around it.)

With the exact text of the error, I can probably tell you exactly what needs to be modified in the nif to get it to import.
