Problems with downloads

I'm guessing you have no internet at the house.  Unfortunately I don't think that will work.

Now you "could" use your phone as a hotspot and connect your laptop through it.........that should work in theory.

I'm officially posting this here because I have yet to find a workaround for me to date. I am using latest version of both Google Chrome and Firefox, I have SpyBot Search & Destroy as my anti-virus, but I have it disabled while trying to work with this website. I've cleared cookies/cache/passwords/etc both with the browsers' controls and CCleaner. All to no avail. I've tried all of this for downloading both R18+ and SFW mods and nothing seems to get through to the direct links. I have noticed that when I click logoff as well, it will never log me off immediately. I have to go through a few windows/download (attempts) sometimes to get logged off. Now I'm no tech genius, but I know how to work around the web/PC easily enough and I have no idea how or what might causing this at all. Any ideas?

What other plugins do you have on Chrome.  I ask only because I don't use anything but Chrome to access this site and I don't have any issues with downloads.

You are sure you don't have some firewall setting or some other strange thing running in the background?

I don't know if this is the same error others are getting, but I'm using chrome with a cleared cache/ cookies and have antivirus turned off for the moment.  The mod I tried was just the sexlab framework.  I am using an adblocker, but with it off I still receive the same error.

One important note is that I live in a rural area that is dependent upon satellite internet, don't know if having an average of 600 ping makes a  difference.

Satellite is unfortunately a huge problem.  The downloads often time out and there is nothing on this end we can do to help.

Turned off plugins, reinstalled browsers. Reinstalled flash/java. Disabled every non-essential processes. I've tried just about everything in my book and nothing has corrected the issue. Sorry for late reply, I work a lot and makes free-time for me short.

So far I've downloaded three mods over in the Sexlab Framework section successfully, except that they all have their ".rar" file extensions changed to ".solitaire8". I have no idea why this is occurring, and why only in the last day. I'm using Edge on Windows 10.

 

Just to reiterate, the files are downloading fine except I have to rename them to fix the file extension.

Sounds like incorrect handling of mime types or the work of a malware.

Searching through google, and this has happened frequently to many people for some time. And now it is happening to me. I use a proxy - vtunnel - can sign in ok, view forums and downloads, but....soon as I hit damm download button I get this error.

I don't have this problem with any other site on the internet. Not even torrent sites. I first thought it was the ISP blocking somehow just the downloads, but I doubt it. This is not merely a 'user end' problem.

EDIT:- I tried Vivaldi browser instead of Opera, and this time got to the individual file download buttons...hope flared briefly, I pressed the middles for full SOS (how the hell is the file only 26mb, by the way? No sign of a download button for main file, just the three options) and.....same error message....but this time I got a bit info in a browser message

This suggests that downlaods, God knows why, cannot be done with a proxy? Anyone?

I've read as much as I can about downloading problems.  However I cannot find something to remedy my problem.  When I try to download the countdown goes as it should then I get sent to the download page of the mod instead of my download starting.   I've cleared my browser (Chrome) cache'.  Tried a different browser (Firefox).  I logged out for a few minutes and logged back in.  Still in the end I cannot seem to get anything to download.  The only exception was a mod that redirected me to its mirror link.   This all started after the site came back up from the forum changes recently.  Anything that you could suggest to help this issue would be appreciated.  Thank you. ^_^

Thank you for the suggestion.  I tried it, still get the count down to 0, but still not starting the download.   I'm racking my brains to think if I had changed any settings to cause this, but I cannot think of a single thing. >.<;  Is there perhaps a new setting that blocks adult content that I'm not aware of?    This is a wee frustrating as there are a couple of mods I use that updated.  I'll keep searching on my end.  Thanks again. ^_^

ok i have hughesnet and i'm having download issues. but not sure it same before major upgrade or something. i tried everything suggested. but my dowload willl countdown to 0 and show the download page or refresh it depending on file i try

I am at my wits end. I've tried everything I could think of plus a couple of suggestions to solve why my downloads won't start after the countdown ends.   Should I figure this is just due to the site update and just wait till its rectified?  Is there a possible security setting that would interfere with downloads?   Is it that Lovers Lab no longer supports Chrome? (though I did try firefox with identical results/fails when I tried to download) I was hoping to resolve this last week, so forgive my seeming impatient.  I just want to update my mods from here and continue enjoying my gaming.  Thank you ! ^_^

Quick report, please disregard if this is being worked on already.  I was able to download 2 mods today but then each time the countdown completed, I was redirected to 192.168.1.1  After a long wait, I was given the page that you get when you aren't signed in and try to d/l

 

I've tried this on EDGE, IE, Opera and Chrome.

I have cleared my cache, deleted my cookies, and restarted both the browsers and the computer.

My OS is Windows 10

My PC is connected through a Verizon hotspot.

UPDATE: as of right now I have gotten the Male body textures and am downloading the other file I couldn't get.  I'm also getting two that my husband has been having problems with from YAMM.  Whatever you're doing, keep it up!

 

P.S. : the only common trend I've noticed is that the folks who are/were having problems have been on rural internet services. Satellite and cellular may have a unique problem.

Thanks Elaura, you've found the answer I have been looking for.  I guess I'm totally S.O.L  for downloading from LL any more.     I live 35 miles from the nearest town and have satellite connection.  So, yeah.

It is rather catch and catch can.  I was able to get several big files tonight, and now I can't get one small one.  Something so variable has got to do with latency, I just don't understand why LL's code has such difficulty with it.  I download from other sites just fine.  Maybe Ashal will find a workaround for those of us with higher ping times.  I think I saw someone from Central Europe having a similar issue.
