Weird Vampire Issues and Character creation crashes

I will admit that I have a lot of mods that could be causing these problems though I suspect that problems revolve a very small amount of mods (1-3).

 

 

Weird Vampire Issues:

 

The color of my character's eyes change to this lame brown and green mix right after becoming a vampire. I was hoping for a vibrant blue or red or even a yellow. I also should note that when I use the console to "showracemenu" and fix this I notice that there are two set of eye now the head and they are right over top of one another making them hidden until you adjust the eye height. I have no vampire eye mods that I am aware of so I don't even have the slightest clue as to what caused this. Another note on the eyes is that frequently I will see that the player's eyes (vanilla or vampire) have disappeared and they have been replaced bright silvery texture where the eye should be. There does not seem to be any specific cause for this and the only way to fix it is to restart the game. I also a have a problem whenever I load up a character who is a vampire, she will have this reddish brown dirt on her face that should not be there. The only way to fix this is to open the race menu  via  the console and just opening the race menu alone seems to fix it, but it is still very annoying to have to do that every time I load up a save. I also want to note that while I am in the race menu, I look at the eyes because they have switched color (another problem that shows up every time I load up the vampire character as I mentioned earlier) and I notice that the eye color slider has not moved and a simple flip forward one and back one on the eye color slider fixes that problem but again, it is still really annoying to have to do that every time I load up the characer.

 

Character Creation Crashes and Other Issues

 

This is pretty simple and annoying. When I go to create a new character, loading right before the character creation point or starting from the very beginning yield the same result, I go to switch my character to female and the game crashes. I have tried several fixes to this and several ways into the game to create the female character but nothing seems to work (1 in 5 chance that it does work). I will note that when I go to change from male to female, I switch the sex over and I am stuck looking at a male character still. After about 3 seconds the game will get laggy and then it will crash as in completely shut down with no error report. I will notice that I can change into a female character in one the custom races that I have installed (lovergirl, Litheria, Siren, Succubus, Ashen and a quick note that this problem is only present on vanilla races) as it is a lot less likely to crash when I change to female in one of those races (any custom race) though if I try to change into a female in a custom race and then switch to a vanilla race, the game will crash all the same. Using the "showracemenu" command in the console is a lot less likely to crash unless the eye problem mentioned above is present. Once in the race menu via the console command, I also notice that several of the options of the modded hair styles are no longer present ( I have 109 hair styles normally and only 30 are available). This is true also for the eye colors (though many of the colors are not present for the vanilla races at any time that are available to the custom races and the eyes I refer to the colors that are available to all of the custom races).

Finally have been able to upload the log file via a .txt file so this should hopefully shed some light on the problem.

I have another problem that has been going on as well on top of the others. This may be a simple fix. The game seems to think I have a follower with me at all times even though I dont. I have noticed right off a new save game, while on my way to whiterun nearing the end of the small waterfalls, that I get a message in the upper left saying "your follower cannot accompany you here." Anyone got any ideas on what is wrong there?

Your load orders a mess, run it through BOSS. You suppose to have race and cosmetic mods at the bottom of you load order there in the middle getting over written I can see several conflicts just from looking at this.

 

underworld dawnguard blue vampire eyes.esp - this changing your vampires eyes but its also being conflicted by a few mods in your list. SO you do have vampire eye mods.

 

Your game is crashing on character creation because you have to many hair mods (and there conflicting) try to keep it at apachi + 2 more.

 

For you follower problem: set playerfollowercount to 0

I do not actually have BOSS at the moment and I did a search for only to find that it has been removed from nexus. The page is still up but all the files have been removed.

 

I did try deactivating the other hair mods recently to see if that would work but it was unsuccessful (only apachi was active).  I have also rearranged my mods by sending the cosmetics and race mods to the bottom but this also did not work. 

 

I did find out that the RaceMenu mod is known to do some screwy things to the vampire characters and it is not known why yet.

BOSS is still on the Nexus. The link is in the description, not in the files section (thus why it pays to read the description before installing ANY mod).

 

The "burn" face on your vampire is a regular game thing. If you go out in the sunlight too much, your will get the burn effect. So far, the only way I have found to remove it is to cure your vampirism. Using the showracemenu command on a vampire will just give you a mess of problems in general. If it doesn't reset your race and remove vampirism that is (which it tends to do). You'll notice that you "aren't supposed" to change your face when you are a vampire by visiting the face changer in the Ratway. Not even she will change your face. As for eye color, that is set yellow because of vampirism. If you have a mod that changes that, then there has to be a conflict or it just isn't working.

 

Like others have said, your load order is a mess. So many conflicts and wrong placement that is probably causing most of your issues as well. The game can only handle so many hair mods. Any more than the regular limit and you'll get crashes guaranteed. The same thing with race mods as well. Another issue that is causing your crashes at character creation, is too many high defintion textures if your system can't handle it. Along with high def textures, tons of hairs, multiple races, unorganized load order, probably dirty files that haven't been cleaned, incompatabilities, etc it is no wonder you are crashing. Also the game can only handle so many mods before it begins getting glitchy and just failing all around. I think it is a 200 limit or something, can't remember exactly.

 

Honestly, get yourself BOSS. Get TES5Edit as well to clean up all those dirty edits (cause there is a lot up there just from seeing your mods you have). Reduce your mods, meaning remove what you don't really use or don't really need (like all those tons of hair mods). Usually your safest bet is to just use one mod for one thing, not multiples for the same thing or otherwise you're bound to have conflicts (which is the current case). When you get your mods as well, read the descriptions! Find out what they conflict with, what they are incompatable with, and what they require. It will save you a ton of trouble in the long run.

I'm having a problem getting back to the Ehanced character edit skin textures in the showracemenu. I'm not sure if being a vampire is the cause of this, but the skin textures are vanilla (also there's certain things that are locked in, like mouth type maybe due to being a vampire). I'd have to go back to not being a vampire and see if it works. I used to get this before when I wasn't a vampire, but fixed it with a load order change.

Best bet for me is to pick which hair mod I really have to activate on the list after looking at the hair style catalogue (CTDs happened to me when I loaded too many hair mods at once, until I found out that only one Apachii mod would suffice for one character).

Your vampire transformation problem (misplaced eyeballs, wrong eye shapes selectable in the race menu) could possibly be linked to the usage of the "Race Menu" mod, even with most current versions of SKSE and this mod (1.06.09 and 1.4.5) i do have similar problems with some custom races. This can be "fixed" somehow by unchecking "Overlay head part list" on the "Face Data" tab for your race's vampire race in the CK. This is at least a workaround until there is a proper solution found for this issue.

And for the race menu crashes, they are most likely linked to hair mods. I can use the racemenu in my game, but as soon as i try to switch the gender i get a CTD like you. A fairly good option could be to use "Alternate Start - Live another life" http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/9557 as well as "Show Race Menu Options" http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/20092 , and you should create at least one male and one female savegame in the prison cell used as starting point by Alternate Start. In most cases you should be able to switch the race using these save games later on.
