Lovers Voice SSP Plus [Expanded]

Hi guys! I've been playing Lovers for awhile now and I've noticed that there's no dialogue for factions or side quests other than the Main Quest. For example: your partner have dialogues that refers you as the Hero of Kvatch but none for the Arena's Grand Champion. I'm not sure if there is dialogue for side factions and I've just not encountered them yet or they just doesn't exist. If there really isn't any dialogues for side factions(Thieve's guild, Arch-Mage, etc), I would like to create some for those factions. And maybe some misc quests that is somewhat significant to the game(Knights of the Thorn maybe?)

And so, I'm asking everyone if they like the idea so I'll know if it's worth the time and effort. However, I have no knowlegde of creating mods, so it'll help if someone point me to the right direction.

I was just thinking something similar. Not so much faction-wise (although that's a good idea!), but I was considering writing dialogue dependent on different body types, custom races, etc. While I enjoy lovers well enough, it kind of takes me out of the moment when my character's getting raped and cries out "what if I get pregnant?!" when I already have her body-type set to pregnant, for example. >.>

However, it'd be a massive undertaking to write out extensive dialogue for every race, body type, and the like. I was interested in putting together some dialogue for my own personal use, but, just like you, I have no knowledge of modding. Furthermore, I currently work as a freelance writer while pursuing a degree in English, so the thought of taking on a huge writing project in my free time doesn't particularly appeal to me. :P

That all being said, I like your idea; there are a lot of variables to take into account, but I think it has potential. I think people tend to easily underestimate the erotic potential of writing, haha. It would certainly add another layer of immersion, and if there's a practical way to add further dialogue options into the framework of Lovers, I'd love to contribute. My ideas might be a little far-reaching and difficult to implement - I have no idea how easy or difficult it would be to add dialogue dependent on the player's race/body-type, for one - but it's something I'd like to attempt, if at all possible. Having more dynamic dialogue options would be awesome.

It may not appeal, but it's certianly great practice.

To do what you are talking about would be a very large commitment.  Right now the current version of Lovers Voice has thousands of lines.  I dabbled in it myself just to translate the lines that were missed and just that took me a week.  You can find the latest version here: http://www.loverslab.com/topic/10681-beta-versions-of-lovers-plugins/

The plugin is fairly complicated already and adding\modifying it would be a real challenge.  I am not at all telling you to abandon all hope and flee, but I am thinking you should try your hand at a much smaller endeavor to get familiar with the CS and modding first.  99% of 1st time modders never finish complicated mods.  Get a few small things done first and give yourself a bit of confidence and then tackle Goliath.  :P

Correct me if I'm wrong but don't NPCs use the "Hero of Kvatch" lines even if the player hasn't done that part of the questline but has enough fame? I remember seeing those lines with a char that had high fame but hadn't touched the main storyline at all. That isn't to say that it's impossible to implement new lines that will only appear when the PC reaches certain milestones/faction ranks however.

If it does there's likely a line or two that doesn't have the correct conditions set.  The conditions for all the Hero lines I checked are quest Siege of Kvatch complete and main questline NOT done.  I assume the latter was due to plans to add in 'Champion of Cyrodil' lines that never got done.

Ah, I see, thanks!
