TES Construction set fails to install, no help from Google

I've tried running it as admin and in XP compatibility. I just runs the installshield thing for a second then nothing happens. Its listed in my installed programs, but I can't modify or remove it from there. Nothing happens. Windows 7 x64. I've had it installed before, am very confused and annoyed.

I wouldn't mind guessing it won't cope with 64 bit. Have you tried to install it in one of the other 32 bit compatibility modes and outside of 'program files'?

I've got the Construction Set running fine on Windows 7 x64. Been a while since I installed it, but I don't remember having to do anything really unusual to get it to work...

Although I do have my Oblivion and CS installed to somewhere outside of Program Files, so maybe that is helping.

I am running the CS on win7 64bit and never had a problem. Did you install it into the Oblivion directory and run it from there?

I've had it running fine on this machine not more than a few weeks ago. I think the issue might be related to that actually. My oblivion got messed up, and I did a fresh install, I'm wondering if my system thinks the CS is still installed or something and won't modify it for that reason. Its like it kind find what it needs to execute the uninstall in order for me to reinstall it.

Probably the issue. Uninstall/reinstall the CS and that should fix it.

As stated above make a new fresh install. But also make sure you do a registry sweep and remove the files that construction set leaves behind.
