Game freezes when I open the quest journal

I'm having a strange problem. Sometimes when I open the quest journal the game freezes. If I turn off SKSE and run the game from the launcher then the game runs fine, so I think this has something to do with SKSE (1.6.9). Anyone else having such problem? Beside SKSE, I also suspect the MCM of SkyUI as it also opens with the journal. Perhaps not the MCM itself, but a mod that uses it (Sanguine's Debauchery?).  :s

UPDATE

Disabled two of the mods that come last in the load order:

- Sanguine's Debauchery (and its two patches)

- Prison Overhaul (and its requirement Fuz Ro Doh)

Now the game no longer freezes on the journal. Not sure which one caused the problem though.  :s

I have had the same problem, but by me it wasn't a problem with a mod, it was a problem that emerged by changing the language from german to english.

I have solved it by reinstalling Skyrim.

And I can say, that it is not from Sanguines Debauchery mod. :)

I'm pretty sure it has something to do with SKSE or something else that uses it. The main suspect at the moment is Fuz Ro D'oh. I'm going to try playing without it and see what happens.

If it was because of a mod I'd probably get an error message either on-screen or on papyrus logs or some other indication when the freeze occurs. I get none of those.

Yes there is, stop using SkyUI.

I don't think SkyUI itself is what causes the problem though, it's probably MCM. I can't give up using SkyUI as it's a huge improvement on the game's poorly designed UI but I could live without MCM. Unfortunately there isn't any way to disable or remove MCM from SkyUI and what's worse, lots of mods require it these days. Perhaps most mod authors adopted MCM too early.
