A bad thing I've been seeing on the forums? [possible malware?]

I've only been hanging out in the adult skyrim section recently, but I've had a number of instances of page loads trying to download flash objects to my system without me clicking anything. I use chrome, so it catches them and I can block them, but someone might want to look at that. I'm not sure if it's someone's sig or what that's causing it.

I'm pretty sure it was a few places, but I was reading through the Zaz package and S3 threads in downloads the most. Looks like... there's for sure one on page 5 of the S3 thread.

I had a pop up for a "jump your bones" deal pop up in a new window but that was the only thing I noticed.  It happened only one time of the 10 I went back and forth between page 5 and 4.

 

Is this what you are talking about or is it something else.  There are no sigs on the page so that is not an issue.

I haven't gotten any popups, possibly due to Adblock. Every time I go to one of those pages I get a .swf that tries to download itself, with Chrome giving me the 'this file can harm your computer" dialogue at the bottom. One of them is labeled 4WXDJPaHuR4.swf   so kind of gibberish, but I'm reluctant to actually keep the file to see what it is. *shrugs* I dunno. Didn't want to scare anyone, but I thought it was strange and that I should mention it. I can keep blocking the download forever.

Strange,  I never got any attempts to download anything at all and just the one popup.  I'll mention it to Ashal our Admin.

You are assuming that the OP does not have a piece of malware already on there computer which is trying to download malware.

 

Then again I am sure I have seen these two thread reported before as malware. Maybe it's not the threads but the mods....

No, there is nothing in the posts or spoilers or sigs - that much I have verified.  The only issue that "could" involve the site is the adverts.  It could also be that the OP is already infected as you are stating as well.  Regardless, it is worth checking out just to make sure.

If this is of any help, I believe what the OP is referring to is the adverts server trying to install flash or flash adverts.  Sometimes I browse this site on my android phone using Firefox (with AdBlock) and on rare occasions I get a "Download Complete" message and then adverts show up in the threads.  I don't remember what section/thread I was browsing.
