ARGH, command and conquer 3 speaker issue.

Not patched yet, don't think its a patch issue though.

Anyway, everytime I plug in my surround sound it just does not work, sound still comes out of the laptop speakers.

This is the first time I have come across this in a game.  Does anyone have any idea whats going on here?

well as note for later on Windows 7 usually has 2 Main audio Codecs listed in their Programming

system board audio and if you have a secondary audio card installed or a set of headphones that are USB compliant usually have their own software

Easiest way of getting your settings verified is to make certain in the drop down menu's of your Speaker set up on your task bar is to goto properties / or start menu /control panel/ Sound and speakers/ and make sure that both Playback and Recordings are using the same set of codecs , and that your speaker settings on your task-bar are being pointed to those devices correctly ... then you should only hafta calibrate your sound through the sound manager speaker setup

you should have like 2 or 3 different settings so you'll need to try them out in pairs to find your audio preferences
