Need a few mod suggestions and abit of help

This is my first post here, so please have mercy on little old me

First off, I'd like to say that this site is awesome. It helped me mod New Vegas just the way I wanted it. Kudos for that.

Now I wanted to finally get around and finish Oblivion (yes, I never did). But I'm not touching it unmodded as it is and I need a bit of help from you.

Which body replacer mods do you suggest? I need it all, male/female/heads. Preferably I'd want the one with the most support.

Which texture overhaul do you suggest? I'm talking about the Oblivion version of this. I want it to look pretty, unlike the out of the Box look.

Suggestions for additional races? I've seen the Dragon elf one, which looks just amazing.

Also, which mod is the Oblivion equivalent to sexout? Is it Lovers PK?

I apologize in advance, but the mod base for Oblivion is just huge and I get lost just browsing and having no clue where to start whatsoever. Your help is very apreciated.

Before you do anything with regards to lovers you should pop over to the nexus and download/install all non sex mods you think you can't live without. Some I would recommend are:

As to bodies...well it depends on what you like. There are quite a few bodies for oblivion. HGEC for women and Roberts for men are the most popular but there are almost a dozen other variants for women and a couple of others for men. The nexus has most all of them so browse and pick what you like. The big rage is for BBB (better bouncing breasts) clothes and armor.

Races....well again there a ton of different ways to attack this. To play a majority of lovers mods you are going to need to install Modular Beautiful People and x117. They add a ton of races and hair/skins for you to create your PC.

For NPC's you can use several replacers like younger hotter npc's or another popular one is Xeo. These are just a few of what is availible mind you.

For texture overhauls - most use http://elderscrolls.filefront.com/file/Qarls_Texture_Pack_3;83706 (Quarl's Texture pack v3.1). It is worth noting however that Better Cities comes with decent textures as is.

Lovers PK is the sex mod for Oblivion. It is leaps and bounds ahead of sexout (although thanks to some WONDERFUL modders at this site sexout is growing rapidly!!! Thanks guys!!!).

There are also animation fighting changers like Unnecessary Violence 2 and Deadly Reflex 5 or 6 that really make fighting come alive (decapitations and other finishing moves) as the vanilla fighting animations.....well they just suck!

Once you have your base mods selected then you need to get some tools:

If you are running a 64bit operating system with more than 3GB of RAM then you should look at the 4GB RAM Patch.

Also I recommend Game Companion, Streamline and Oblivion stutter remover.

Unfortunately you have some work ahead of you but once you have figured out what you want for your base then come back and we can help you on the lovers stuff.

I thought about Oscuro's Oblivion Overhaul, but when I checked it, it was old and unupdated (might be just me, since I just flew over the dates at TESnexus). And I do have both of the expansions installed.

It has not be updated but that is only because they completed it and moved on. There are other overhauls out there but I dig it the best.

Well as I said a lot of the lovers mods are going to require that you have Modular Beautiful people and x117 (which adds a ton of races, hair and faces).

However it doesn't really impact the vanilla games NPC's.

If you have a good video card and alot of ram:

For visuals, open cities, quarls texture pack, crowded roards, crowded cities, all of the unique landscapes, Oblivion graphic extender, Lush and gaudy floridian gloria.

For body models, dmra with stock replacer.

For simulation, lovers joburg.

After that you will forget about finishing the game.

No it doesn't conflict at all. I have CURP, Better Cities and Kvatch Rebuilt running just fine.

I was wondering if there are any conversion mods out. More specificly, I'd like see mods that add or change existing NPCs to the custom race mod ones. If there are (prefferably the one that adds npcs), would you suggest any? Thanks in advance.

This mod and its addon's will add an additional 300+ NPC's to the game.

Additionally further down the page a couple of posts there is City Life x117 which further adds npc's and children to cities.

Also, I've been trying to make group sex between my protagonist (male) and a few females, but so far I haven't had any success. Is there anything special I should look for or do? I do have lovers extended and whenever I try the choose a pair of actors, I always get no valid actors found.

There was a threesome mod for lovers with pk but it was buggy as hell and unsupported. Afraid you may be out of luck on that one.

Ahaaa, thanks! I have a new problem Somehow my BBB doesnt work during sex scenes. I have the BBB body, I installed the extra animations, skeletons should be ok (since everything else works, from walking, running...). Is it an issue with hi-rez skins I added? Logic dictates that, that shouldnt be case, that's why I'm asking. Is the system working underneath the BBB during sex collision based? If so, is it in the lovers options in game? It kinda sucks to see the females so static. I know that not all of them are BBB animations, but even those that have them dont play out.

Only about half of the sex animations are bbb enabled. It is quite a chore to make animations in oblivion as one must make 8 just to have one full set. The animations within each group are picked at random so just hit your grab key to cycle to one of the animations that does have bbb

As your skills with modding grow you can replace or disable all non bbb animations so you only see the bbb ones.

As to the bbb itself during sex, well depending on your cup size the jiggle may not stand out as much. Larger breasts tend to jiggle more but too large and they can clip a bit. There are no options to adjust the jiggle rate "in game".

Well, I'm pretty confident in my TES skillls and I'm willing to delve into disabling the non BBB sex animations. Is there a list or something that shows which sex animations are BBB supported? and which file exactly should I modify in that regard (or remove the animations as it is).

Unfortunately not that I am aware of. What I did a long time ago was just go sex it up and would hit the grab button to change postitions and with each change I would hit the console button and make a note of the position number and whether it was bbb or not. It won't take all that long. Once you have a list of some that don't have bbb you can then to your oblivion\data\ini folder and just change the extension of that numbered ini file to .ini-disabled and you won't ever see that one again.

Note: You can't disable positions 1-10 or lovers with pk will crash. If you have any that aren't bbb in the 1-10 range you will need to replace instead of disable them. This is slightly more complicated as you will have to find an animation number that is bbb and that you like (stick to something similar - like replace a missionary with a bbb missionary if you can). You will need to replace both the old ini with the new one as well as all 8 kf files that are located in the folder: Oblivion\Data\meshes\characters\_male\Idleanims\ani2\

Whatever you do DO NOT merge the two ini files!!!!!!!

The Breakundies.ini file needs to be installed to oblivion\data\ini\ folder.

BU armors must be downloaded and installed. There is a whole thread about the process: http://www.loverslab.com/showthread.php?tid=9

This can be quite complicated so I do suggest you read the OP and then the 10 or so pages of it. You may end up having to read the entire thread but it all depends on your modding skills.

They're the potions that come with Lovers Extender I think, and they add "stamina" to you, prolonging your time of having sex before you cum. They're called Potion of love comfort (weak, strong) and potion of love potential (weak, strong).

Oh, well if they are already in the game then it is just a matter of finding their formid number and you can add them via the player.additem console code. You can find the form id by opening pkextender.esp (if that is the mod it comes from) and looking for that item. Likely to be under misc items but not real sure.

Another way to do it if you don't know how to use the CS is get form finder: http://tes.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=16704 and use it to track down the codes.
