Any kissing poses or animation mods?

x117 is not a race per se but the umbrella term for numerous races created as a small-sized alternative to existing races of normal scale. One could think they make designated 'child' or 'adolescent' characters, but depending on the body type used they can also be considered miniature adults as well.

My x117 characters are all adults, just of smaller height.

 

Their main concept is a body scaled down with a factor of ~0.8 and a head scaled up with a factor of 1.17, thus the name. The smaller overall height and larger head size are what brings about more 'youthful' proportions, in combination with a flat-chested body childlike characters can be made with x117 races. With a big-breasted round-assed body they make mini adults.

 

Though using a box to stand on (or the carcass of a defeated enemy? - just kidding, it has no collision) might be a solution for the height difference problem, it's a kind of half-assed cop-out makeshift solution nevertheless.

I think the problem is mainly just two things:

 

1. Modders having an interest in making such "poses" normal actions, and understanding why some players may want it. This is the "imaginative hurdle". Apparently, most modders attracted to this project, just don't care about a plain simple expression of "oh i like you" or "oh you're so cute".

 

2. Position syncing is a bitch. Even the most straight-forwards hug mod i found, only works like 33% of the cases correctly. You know, just like most sex animations. Getting chars to properly align, is the biggest technical hurdle.

 

AFAIK, some people suggested, that for complex romance to actually "work," there need to be people who write content/stories around it. Not that i have anything against this, but i think this is one step too far. See, the people who CURRENTLY ask for hug/kiss/whatever mods..... are just people who experience situations where they want to kiss/hug/whatever someone else, just because THEIR OWN DYNAMIC STORY made them want to do it. There isn't anything "designer story" to this. You may just want to hug or kiss someone, because he in YOUR GAME just did something cute. You may want to do it, because he/she saved your ass just recently, and you like him/her.... or, or, or. So, just dynamic situations arising from how a player plays the game. No "designer story" is needed for this.

 

I mean, if he circumstantial desire to "like" someone needs a story, then why don't we need stories to "fuck someone"? Yeah, stories would be nice, but if the player makes his own story, or fantasy, it isn't needed. And it isn't any different for "liking" and "fucking".

 

This doesn't mean, that such stories wouldn't be nice. Sure, they would be.... but well, at this point, players have a hard time showing "i like you" (rather than "i want to fuck you") without the designer having had to write story for it.

 

And this is sad. Because, all this needs, really just is: A pose, technical ability to align two poses correctly, and a comfortable interface for the player.

Lovers mods come in all flavors, you have story-less sex and ive seen some mods involving more complex situations, quests and storylines

The versions without story work usually like this:

Character approaches NPC: and asks something like

"You wanna fuck?"

depending on disposition markers NPC says yes or no and animation starts. End of story

Another option is to have the animation starting over a touch spell

It works if your horny, but it doesnt work if you want immersion, unless youre living your OWN story line like rynak said...

And it still lacks something...

"You wanna fuck?" seems too rough and unsensitive for imagining a love story for example, or even referring to a companion your character is supposed to like

Im sure there are occasions for everything, even for stating something in those terms. Other options could be nice though

 

Same for kissing and hugging

I think it would be fair if it comes in all flavors too

But first the first, it should work exactly like Lovers mods

A dialogue option that says "kiss", disposition acts blah blah blah...

 

Future plans by other mothers could include this animation in more complex storylines just as lovers mods do

Ive seen everything, since maid fantasies to prostitution stories... i think its just fair it could be done too for this

But that could perfectly be done by future projects

 

Im really sorry I cannot contribute in greater way to making this possible, but like I said, I mod other things, animations are just no my thing, and Im a complete ignorant regarding them...
