cant connect to my steam profil

hi !

 

at first , i know its not very the good place for ask this but just let me explain why i post it here ...

 

i cant access to my steam profil, i always receive the 118 error "connection problem, blabla" , my connection work , its perfect, i can connect to the steam  store , my game list, and the steam forum , but i cant access to the community and support , so i cant ask steam about this problem...i have try all solution on the net, nothing work, i can use steam but i cant connect to my profil/community/support..

 

why you not ask the steam forum ? - because for be register in the steam forum, i need link it with my steam account, and i cant make this because all page allowed with my account is down with error 118

 

why not ask steam ? - because i cant access to the support, and i not have found any other way for send mail to steam

 

i can install my game and play, make integrity verif etc.. its very crazy, i didnt know what do , i already have uninstall/reinstall steam 5 time (correctly with all deleting etc..like mentionned on some internet thread)

 

i cant access to it with internet browser (Ie,mozilla,maxthon,chrome) and i cant access to it with the steam browser itself too

 

i have see in my steam profil i have 60 game, but i have try to look at my profil with account of my friend and i see 90 game !?! wtf ?!? my account have be hacked ?? if yes, what i can do ? send message to steam...but how??

 

its really crazy, i didnt know what i can do , i not want create another new account (can you imagine the money used for all the game ? i not want lose all of this)

 

i not think its an hack, as long i can use my steam normally for play...an hack probably try to change the account name/password/mail etc... so i think its an proxy/internet something like this...but idk what i can do and nothing in the net help me, all the answer turn to steam support....if somebody know what i can do , please thanks for your help..

 

once again, remember, dont wast time with the steam support answer..i cant access to the support in any way

Go to you Steam folder and delete everything apart from the Steam.exe and the Steamapps folder.

 

Then double click the Steam.exe and Steam will rebuild itself. This should reset everything and keep your games.

 

You should now be able to see your profile.

 

 

Just send Steam a support ticket through the website and not the Steam browser in the Steam application.

1- i have make this , that have redownload steam update (all good) reconnect to account (name/password) ask code for new pc install (good) , open the steam window, i click on my name (see profil) ...................error 118 , same for community etc..

 

2- i cant access to the support ,so i cant send ticket or anything ask for steam support (internet browser or steam browser) impossible for me ! always error 118

I had a similar problem a couple of days ago (although I couldn't access any of the web pages through Steam; I could see my library just fine). What worked for me is exiting Steam (right-click on the icon on the taskbar and click on exit) and then starting it back up again. I think I had to do this twice before it worked.

After reading about it for a bit it could be your IP most likely has been banned. Sadly the only way to fix it is to contact support.

 

If you have a friend with Steam you might get away with asking them to contact Support and explain the situation to them.

i can play my game and play on steam server without any problem and all... my VAc is ok and all (i not cheat , only with skyrim, sometime the consol command ^^) but thats very strange, if i was banned, i shouldnt have access to my game , play online and play on steam server ...wow

 

ok, i go talk with a friend and see if he can do something, but i doubt of this, steam probably ask for credit card number and all like that.. : /

i have try this, no success , i not have try the routeur thing i not understand this but i ask my internet supplier....and about the link..i cant because its link for steam support

mmh, i try something crazy..total reinitialisation of the pc,formated and all reinstall windows , i hope this resolve the problem, i tell you when its finish ^^

it could of been a glitch or your ISP changing your IP every few days, some one got the IP banned and then it was given to you.

Too little, too late. I would have suggested unplugging your modem's power and the coaxial cable, wait 10 or so seconds, then plug it all back in. If your ISP issues dynamic IPs, this process would hard-reset it and you would be issued another IP. But now he's gone and reinstalled the whole OS.

i have reinstall all ^^ , well, not work.. same problem...

idk about that ISP, what i need do for this , can you link me some tutorial or something ?

 

mmmh, actually i m with wifi , maybe i should pass in ethernet, but i doubt this change anything..

mmh its look like my IP have been banned , i have send mail to steam (with direct mail adress), i wait for answer, i hope its not a big problem and recup my access soon...

 

thanks you all for help ! i not make it "resolved" until steam answer (sound like a week or little more) because its maybe not the problem, we see what steam say about this..

 

i have see same guy have this problem too and steam say its banned Ip for "abuse" so i hope its similar and fixed quickly ^^

i have receive answer today, they have resolv the problem and just mention "Thank you for contacting Valve.  This email address is no longer monitored."...everything work perfect now ^^

 

thanks for the help all of you ^^ (thanks ark of truth for found the good thing^^ ), valve not have tell me why they ban my IP...well , another valve mysterious thing ^^ , but that was pretty fast and i m happy ^^ thanks !

Considering they said "This E-mail address is no longer being monitored" I would say that your email was used for a spamming attempted. That would lead to a ban.

Hey alpalla... Could you post the email you used to contact steam? i have the exact same problem. My IP is banned so i cant reach their support site.

 

any help would be gratefully received.
