Sexual magic

47 posts in this topic

I believe we should explore the limits of human imagination and creativity to improve the world. I was drawn to LL because I feel imagining new things like animie-style characters or sexuality in Skyrim should be celebrated for expanding the boundaries of society, instead of suppressed or hidden. Some projects focus on making Skyrim more similar to the ordinary world of Earth. I'm instead seeking things that make sense in the world of Nirn and expand our imagination.

I've been thinking how sexual magic might manifest in Skyrim. I want it to be fun and erotic, fit the backstory of Tamriel, and have practical applications for real gameplay. I've considered some potential backstory, characters, and magical spells detailed below.

I encourage people interested in this idea to experiment with the Creation Kit. You're welcome to use anything I've come up with in your own mods, without my permission. Just include credits for whatever resources you use.

"Good" sexual magic would probably involve godesses like Dibella, Mara, and the Restoration school, focusing on rejuvenating ourselves and our companions with positive energy. A sudden burst of sexual excitement targeting an enemy could disorient them. This could be twisted into more sinister forms of magic like soul capture, destruction, and Daedric summoning. Hostile mind-controlling sexual magic could be encouraged by daedric princes like Sanguine or Molag Bal.

How might we see sexual magic in Tamriel?

Seducers are mysterious and rare creatures who occasionally form relationships with specific deities. They can appear as both genders, like succubi and incubi. Their information is sparse, appearing in various forms in Battlespire, Daggerfall, and Shivering Isles. This rarity will give us some freedom in creating their story. They can be the original source of sexual magic, with mundane races learning it through them.

Abilities

Here are a few ideas which could replace or compliment existing spells with sexual magic:

  • Arouse
Casting this on oneself improves stamina, while casting on civilians or enemies calms them. Arousal makes it more likely for civilians to accept sexual advances through dialogue, while calmed enemies may give up their belongings and grant experience to the player. This becomes a substitute for killing humanoid enemies.
  • Enchant: Alluring
Gives clothing or armor a speech bonus. Speech could affect the likelihood people can be persuaded to sleep with the dragonborn. Lovers could give a bonus from merchant trades, and access to homes and belongings. This could be a way for law-abiding characters to gain access to locked places.
  • Conjure Seducer
Summons a random low-ranking seducer from Oblivion to support the dragonborn with sexual spells.
  • Untamed
Everyone in an area undresses to their natural state, and picks random sex partners. This could replace the mayhem spell, with two advantages: we wouldn't lose out on combat experience, and since it deals no damage it could be considered non-hostile for some craziness with civilians.
  • Ecstasy
A concentrated burst of sexual energy causes the target to abruptly climax, essentially paralyzing them from overwhelming sensation for a few seconds, followed by brief disorientation, reducing combat effectiveness.
  • Ravage
The most sinister destruction magic absorbs the soul of sexual partners to increase the power of the caster. This starts the same as Enthrall, then climax kills the victim and fills a soul gem.
  • Enthrall
Dark illusion magic seduces a target to do our bidding. This would calm and disrobe an enemy, start sex, and climax commands the target to side with the player until the afterglow wears off. This is basically the spell of the Sex Addict mod, with calm replaced with command, and bounty added.

I experimented with some of these ideas by customizing the Sex Addicts mod. Based on those tests, I believe the concepts are feasible, and should be rather straightforward to accomplish. I don't know yet what mod I would use as a basis for the real project beyond testing.

Story

Seven seducer consorts of gods and goddesses became infatuated by the mundance races of humans and mer. These seemingly weak mortals manage to defeat the gods in one battle after another. What gives them that power? Instead of arrogantly dismissing it as pure luck, the consorts descend from oblivion to learn from the mundane races. They pursue friendship, sex, and rivalry with the mundanes, earning them the enmity of the gods, who shun them and cast them from oblivion.

The Daedric princes lash out against the followers of the seducers after expelling their former consorts from Oblivion. Infatuated with the mundane races, the seducers offer eternal happiness and protection from the wrath and whims of gods. All our needs are cared for in their harems - food, shelter, sexual satisfaction. We never feel despair, fear, or heartbreak, and never need to work, fight, or die. There is no catch or ulterior motive. Does giving up pain and suffering take away something that fundamentally makes us who we are, or is this heaven?

Thousands flock to the seducers' harems. Others who refuse to join see their loved ones drawn away, and panic, trying to bring people back. People asking their loved ones to leave a blissful existence brings uncertainty and emotional pain back into the lives of the mortals in the harems.

The seducers fall into depression as the mundane races they cherish turn against them. "Why do you choose death and pain over eternal bliss?"

Eventually, some of the seducers conclude they need to take a more proactive approach to stop the constant strife and pain. Several split away from their brethren to accomplish this goal. They begin expanding their harems to encompass all of Nirn, to bring all the mundane races eternal peace as benevolent rulers. Mortals who refuse to join are inducted through mind control. The seducers existed for eons in realms of oblivion where the concept of free will does not exist. They do not understand why this angers the mundane races even more. This leads to conflict, as the races of Skyrim start openly attacking the harems, trying to drag people back into the brutal and unpredictable world outside the seducers' immortal protection.

The fallen consort of Mara progressed beyond infatuation for mortals to a deeper love. He wishes to lead a more private existence than his expansionist sisters and brothers, keeping within the boundaries of his domain, and tending to his harem's desires he cherishes like beloved pets. He spends his time trying to understand the mundane race's concept of free will. This seducer eventually contacts the Dragonborn when things start getting out of control, to try and convince his other sisters and brothers to pull back and give the mundane races more time to consider the seducers' offer of immortal peace and happiness.

Some of the seducers can be convinced by the dragonborn to reunite with their brothers and sisters. Others see the protagonist as just another threat and try to fight. As the dragonborn defeats each seducer, instead of dying, they bargain for their life by sexually submitting to the player as a follower and teaching them one spell.

Characters

Here's my ideas for eight main characters. Aedra and daedra are genderless shapeshifters capable of taking on any form, but most tend to portray themselves as a particular shape. Seven of these are seducer leaders who formed harems to protect the mundane races. The eighth seducer, Mirasoa is an addict who wanders the harems of others, but doesn't share their ambitions or goals. She's just obsessed with getting her next sexual high.

For people trying to come up character names in games or stories, I highly recommend the Everchanging Book of Names. It's a fantastic name creator capable of forming names based on dozens of languages from Earth and fictional worlds. I've used it for almost a decade. I drew inspiration for these particular names from the Malagasy language, related to Polynesian languages of Oceania. The free version can create 5 names at a time, then reload the chapter you're viewing.

Sexual Magic 1.1.7z

Sexual Magic 1.0.7z

This early test version is a simple mod-mod of SexAddict with a few spells added to explore some possibilities:

  • Euphoria
  • Alluring
  • Ecstasy
  • Untamed
  • Enthrall
  • Ravage

The download is standalone and should not require any other mods.

I also added some female voices organized by Setekh, and changed the undress options to remove none, some, or all clothing. The first two are the same as SA's undress options, while the third also removes miscellaneous slots commonly used by armor and clothing mods. I focused the theme of this on magical mind control, like the calm spell, instead of physical earthlike nonconsensual sex. I've played with this mod active over the past week without encountering problems, but I still recommend being cautious.

You should be able to install this manually or with your preferred mod manager. Howeber, this is my first mod for Skyrim, so I might have overlooked something, or not packed the mod correctly. I recommend only trying it with temporary test saves.

Now this is a concept I could get behind (figuratively).

If I may throw some other ideas at you for the sake of brainstorming?

Arouse should be a cheaper, lower level version of Ecstasy.  It should lack the paralyze effect, but still reduce combat effectiveness.  You could probably add a small stamina damage-over-time effect, too.  Both spells should be somewhat expensive, however, to prevent abuse.

I'm wary of Ecstatic.  The Impact perk is already pretty broken in that it guarantees a stagger if you dual cast a spell and hit an opponent - a weapon enchant that not only does damage, but immobilizes or staggers a foe could be incredibly broken.

The other spells are all great.  Bliss Atronach could be more interesting with my changes, too - rather than being a damage dealer, it would act as crowd control as it casts spells like Arouse and Ecstasy.  Perhaps the Succubus version could be all crowd control spells, and the Incubus version could have just Arouse and a one-handed melee weapon?

If possible, shrines shouldn't teach spells.  Priests of the various deities should.  Powers from special shrines should behave like Guardian Stone powers - you can only have one at the time, and can only use activated powers once a day.  On that note;

  1. Call Mara's "Lover's Endurance", make it a small passive boost in both health and stamina regen.  Alternatively, make it a large boost in stamina and health regen that can be used once a day.
  2. Dibella's power could give the player a speech optional ala Animated Prostitution.  It would allow sex with basically anyone non-hostile, and could be used for discounts at shops.
  3. Scratch Ravage, change Enthrall's name to Dominate, and make it Molag Bal's associated power.  I'd think the Prince responsible for the line "Vengeance?  No... I want submission" would be far more apt to enthrall others through dominating magics.  Besides, the spell as you described is basically rape with a bounty, so it's perfect for Molag Bal.
  4. Sanguine's power would grant a spell.  It could strip everyone in the room (including the player), as a callback to Oblivion's "Stark Reality" spell from Sanguine's quest.  Only, this one doesn't just make people naked, it makes them horny.

I like your idea of focusing on crowd control and debilitation. I'm thinking of that too. There are a couple "support" abilities in the game, but they aren't really useful or don't fit in well, and could be improved.

The Bliss Atronach Seducer might start a group fight by casting two quick debilitation on some targets, followed by Enthrall or Ravage on a specific enemy, taking both the atronach and second enemy out of the fight for the duration of fucking the victim. I figure the player could choose a gender for the summon, or it could be random.

I agree 50-100% paralyze causes problems, which is why I'm thinking the Ecstatic enchant would only paralyze about once per minute. It might make it easier to use other sexual magic on the target, adding some variation between fights.

You have a good point about shrines and priests. I was trying to think of the most direct connection between the Aedra and normal people, but the Aedra don't interact by definition. I think you're right that priests are a better way to get the spell. I think the temple of Mara in Whiterun has a quest which could add a spell as a reward. I'm looking for quests like that to link things to so a preliminary version can be created as effortlessly as possible.

I've long been fascinated by incubi, succubi and Ardat-Yakshi, which led to a spell to consume souls through sex.

I like your idea of changing Mara's spell to a passive effect or rare, powerful power. No equivalent of "heal" exists for stamina, but stamina recovers so fast, I learned in my tests that Arouse wasn't really useful. It might be better as an occasional power or passive effect, like you said. I don't know.

There's a couple other gods that might associate with sexual magic:

  • Kynareth: goddess of nature, could undress everyone in an area.
  • Hircine: hunting, could give a way to see the potential sexual willingness of a target.
  • Vaermina: dreams and nightmares, unknown ability.

Hello… :)

Mephala can be a good god(dess) as well…

As known in the West, Mephala is the demon of murder, sex, and secrets. All of these themes contain subtle aspects and violent ones (assassination/genocide, courtship/orgy, tact/poetic truths); Mephala is understood paradoxically to contain and integrate these contradictory themes.Vivec and Mephala

Both Vivec and Mephala have created the Morag Tong…

Their movements among the holdings of the Ra'athim were as rippled endings, heaving between times, with all fates leading to swallowed knives, murder as moaning, God's holy rape-erasure of wet death. 36 Lessons of Vivec, Sermon 22

"holy rape-erasure of wet death", sounds nice for a spell's name… \o/

But as I imagine a spell like that is "rape and kill", like "ravage" if I understand well…

Still, it could be a great spell for a Dark Brotherhood oriented PC…

I figure the most fun way to learn sexual magic could be interactions with the gods and goddesses. The basic Aedric spells could be added when we first interact with that goddess's shrine, while the darker Daedric spells could be additional rewards from the princes' quests.

It's a simple way, more complex way could be with a witch who teach us theses spells after some events…?

Witches are both well versed in aedric and daedric magic…

Thank you for those quotes! You are right, Mephala fits perfectly for a spell mixing sex and murder. I've revised the original post to include the ideas we've come up with so far. An involved quest to learn these spells would be fantastic! I'd like to do that eventually. To get an initial version done, we should probably focus on some simple way to get the spells first, then do the complex stuff later.

@bradleyh

I agree and love learning the backstory of a world. I think of it as fan fiction, figuring out how this type of magic would make sense in the world of Nirn.

Hmm...

Imagine if a character in a sexual dream of these witches becomes self-aware and conscious through Vaermina's influence. The new entity becomes the first of a new race of daedric beings, consumes the unlucky dreamer's soul, possesses the witch's body, and begins spreading sexual magic through the world as the first bliss atronach. This could explain the sudden appearance of sexual magic in the world in a way to avoid retconning.

The bliss atronachs might be more individualized than normal frontline daedra, learning facets of different gods and goddesses whose priests or minions they consume . The dragonborn could learn a different sexual spell from each of the first-generation bliss atronachs they meet, like the dragon priests. This would give more flexibility and freedom to design spells, instead of directly associating each spell with a specific god.

Seems like you put a lot of thought into it and I like your ideas. I'm wondering whether sexis would be a better base for this as it's more modular.

Also in the dawnguard expansion, there was a power called vampire seduction it enthralls the victim. Doing it to the moth priest initiated dialog where he say that he's under your command. Maybe there's can be followup dialog to control the victim for sexual acts.

I'm thinking of two directions we could handle vampires.

One way is sexual magic could be the primary domain of succubi/incubi, who see vampiric feeding as a crude way to gain life force, and look down upon vampires. Vampires despise succubi because consuming the soul permanently kills the target, giving no future feedings or the possibility of raising a new vampire. This rivalry would give it a unique Nirn-world twist different from Earth vampires.

The other way is to make the vampires similar to classic Earth stories like Dracula, who have an affinity for seduction. This is probably what most people would like.

There might be a way to do both. After all, ravaging a target to death wouldn't help a vampire if they need to feed off the target. Perhaps succubi prefer ravaging souls, while vampires enthrall targets to keep them alive for feeding. This would give a clear distinction between the enthrall and ravage spells.

I don't really know much about the differences of using sexis, sex lab, or the other mods yet. I did my early experiments with sex addict because it was the one I was using at the time.

"Bliss Atronach"…

Did you know the "dark seducer", it's a type of daedra…?

DaggerfallDaedraSeducer.gif

Mostly females, but some males seducers exist…

The Lore explains that seducers are "lordless daedra", so it's fit for every prince…

If you like individualized seducers, TES L : Battlespire show us some…

Every human race (with optional wings) works for making a seducer…

Oh, and the "mazken" we can see in Shivering Isles, it's just one seducer's clan devoted to Sheogorath, not all seducers are blue-skinned as some modders thinks…

Thank you for the information and link to that book! I remember reading that years ago, but had forgotten the details. I'm re-reading it now. I revised the list to use the right daedric name, and linked to the information about them.

The rarity of this type of daedra in the TES series would explain why this form of magic is seldom seen. In addition to that, the info page says:

The Mazken are notoriously clanless and treacherous, owing allegiance to many Daedric Princes.

This is a good explanation for each Mazken teaching a different sexual spell.

If we get the spells from seducer bosses, each one we defeat could submit instead of being killed, bargaining for their life by teaching us a spell and becoming a potential follower. There aren't many enemies who switch sides to fight for us, and it would fit the treacherous personality of this particular daedra. One of them could also teach us the Conjure Seducer spell to summon random nameless mazken from Oblivion.

Paralyzing enemies is when the caster uses a spell that disrupts the nerve cells signals making them incapable of relaying messages to and from the brain causing the body to "shut down" until this disruption is restored (lightning tends to cause this, would be cool if a mod made the higher lightning magics do this or as a perk)... but having someone have an overload in pleasure forcing them to Orgasm could possibly work, although it may have to only work on enemies that correspond with the spell (different levels of the spell)

Actually, did you know that Dark Seducers and Daedric Seducers are two different kinds of Daedra? Confusing because Dark Seducers are Daedric too -  but different from Daedric Seducers, only one kind has wings, the other does not. Shivering Isle Seducers were of the kind that did not (and presumably are purple-skinned because old Sheo wanted to tell them apart from the other master-less Seducers).

Let's refer to the battlespire seducers then, as that seems to work best for associating them with a variety of princes.

I suspect the varieties of seducers are related, even if not exactly the same "species," if the concept of species can apply to these beings. We know the original seducers were shapeshifters, so they could appear in different forms at different times. It's hard to find information and the sources don't always match.

It's specious, because in Battlespire there are the both seducers types ; the winged one is the "dark seducer", like sheogorath's one, and the wingless one is just "seducer"...

And Daggerfall shows us that the winged one (called "daedra seducer") can enable/disable their wings...

We don't know the nature of the difference between those types of seducers, it could be like the difference between dremora and xivilai (type), or (more probably) the difference between dremora churl and dremora caitiff (power...)

But yes, the "Mazken" is probably too apart from the rest of the seducers...

Well if the 'Dark Seducer' replaces the roll of the Succubus for TES, then the DS will have to do.

Only a few ranks of Seducers were seen in the Shivering Isles, so perhaps the winged version is one of the unseen ranks. In a meta sense, the lack of wings in SI is probably just due to limitations of the game engine.

I've been thinking about a possible story which could introduce this form of magic to Tamriel.

Seven consorts of gods and goddesses became infatuated by the mundance races of humans and mer. These seemingly weak mortals manage to defeat the gods in one battle after another. What gives them that power? Instead of arrogantly dismissing it as pure luck, the consorts descend from oblivion to learn from the mundane races. They pursue friendship, love, and rivalry with the mundanes, earning them the enmity of the gods, who shun them and cast them from oblivion.

The consorts existed in eternities of domination and strife among the daedric realms. They seek to bring the mundane races eternal happiness, and protect them from the wrath and whims of the gods.  They do this the only way they know how, through enslavement, as is normal for daedric realms. The seducers form harems of their favorite humans and mer to shield them from the dangerous world. They grant their followers immortality in eternally enslaved sexual bliss. They existed in a society without a concept of free will, and are incapable of understanding why mundane races would object to this mind control and loss of independence.

The seducers become depressed as the mundane races they love turn against them. Outside groups attack them, trying to bring members of the harems back into the brutal and unpredictable world outside the seducers' immortal protection. The seducers teach their followers sexual magic and other weapons to defend themselves. Eventually, some of the seducers conclude they need to take a more proactive approach to stop the constant attacks. They begin expanding their harems to encompass the entire world, to bring all the mundane races eternal bliss and peace. Several of the seducers split away from their brethren to accomplish this goal.

The fallen consort of Mara progressed beyond infatuation for mortals to a deeper love. He wishes to lead a more private existence than his expansionist sisters and brothers, keeping within the boundaries of his domain, and tending to his harem's desires he considers like pets. He spends his time trying to understand the mundane race's concept of free will. This seducer eventually contacts the Dragonborn when things start getting out of control, to try and convince his other sisters and brothers to pull back and give the mundane races more time to consider the seducers' offer of immortal peace and happiness.

There's a challenge of figuring out genders for each seducer. I'd like to avoid the stereotypes of emotional compassionate women and slutty aggressive men. I'm thinking of mixing it up so there's a variety of complex personality types, genders, and sexual pairings with the gods/goddesses they used to mate with.

There's also the challenge of figuring out genders for each seducer.

You could take the "angelic" route, give them a set of each. Makes creating the NPCs easier, allows for some more interesting personalities.

@swagginthebag

I'm thinking of putting together an early version of some basic spells sometime this week. Once the sex labs development stabilizes a bit, I think I'll use that as the main basis for the project.

@Brigade

That's a good idea about a variety of genders. The books in TES point out the aedra and daedra are genderless as humans would conceive of it. However, they do tend to portray themselves in a particular way, with a few exceptions.

Here's my ideas for the eight main characters. Seven of them are leaders who formed harems to protect the mortal races. The eighth seducer, Mirasoa is a braindead junkie who sometimes wanders to the harems of others, but doesn't share their ambitions or goals. She's just obsessed with getting her next high.

....best way to build an idea like this would be, one spell at a time. Many of the shouts and current spells in game could likely just be modified to fit the color of the concept.  I made a few suggestions like this to Arizona__S, but he was prepping for SL framework at the time.

... started my first magic character today, lots of depth in skyrim magic, tactically speaking.

edit: it was actually _SA_ that led me to LL, I was looking for a non-violent way to resolve quests per various forms of yielding/submission; murdering everything just gets disturbing after a while... why my main character is a sneak-thief, avoiding combat at all costs. No one really interested in making a messiah mod yet, /wink.

I agree it's strange when good-aligned characters go around murdering thousands of people in games. They may be bandits, but we could turn them in to hold guards instead of massacring them all. Or allow anyone who surrenders to join our army. I seriously want one of these games to let us form an army and become Emperor. Dragon Age showed it's possible to work that into a story. It would have made sense in Skyrim because that was the path of most dragonborn. Considering all the powerful enemies we defeat, the Thalmor would be no match for us and an army of thuum-wielding heroes.

Well, at the very least we can turn those bandits and conjurers into our sexual slaves. It's a better fate than death. I'm a kind mistress.  ;)

I updated the original post with more ideas about backstory and spells.

I'm starting to do some exploration with the sexlabs framework. I suspect that's what I will want to use to create this. Once the basics are done, the spells themselves will be very easy to accomplish, since they are basically modified versions of existing spells.

Sounds awesome and not having been done yet in a real combat context forges new ground; should be very popular once a few fun spells are out.

Beautiful summary regarding the lore and story, so these Seducers cannot comprehend free will, the human soul.  And as soulless creatures, their insatiable desire to possess the souls of other lesser mortals is borne by their own soulless nature? The meta for sexual tyrant and slave becomes a desire for acquiring soul, or desire to love? But being tyrants thus soulless, Seducers can only ‘lust’ as panacea for love? So not understanding that the ‘freedom to love’ is the path to soul, they continue to enslave and lust....

Humanity in a ‘nutshell’.

That would be really fantastic if someone creates complex animations like that. In the short term I'm going to stick to pre-existing animations with sound effects. It's important to get the basics done before adding visual extras.

These demigods want to give us immortal peace, safety, and sexual bliss. People volunteer to join that lifestyle! The seducers cherish and protect their harems like pets. Then others come to drag away their followers, confusing the seducers. "Why would you choose a world of pain, suffering, and certain death? It doesn't make sense!"

The fundamental question is what distinguishes charismatic leadership from a brainwashing cult? Why are some leaders inspirational heroes, while others are despicable cult leaders?
