EA Origin will not open, I am going insane here

It refuses to open.  I click it, Origin shows up in my task managers processes but it will not appear.

 

I am nearly on the verge of losing my temper.  I am out of ideas on how to fix this, I've googled it and nothing is showing up.

1) Reboot and try again

2) Uninstall it, then reinstall it

3) cut a hole in the box

4) put your junk in the box

5) have her open the box

No idea to be honest.  I use MS Security essentials and I have no Fraps or those sort of programs.

 

I have found a work around, if I boot into safe mode and then boot back to normal it works but I have to repeat this all the time... but I suppose its better than not being able to access origin.

Are you using administration level access with Origin? If not it might be needed to work.

 

Is the firewall on your computer allowing web access to Origin. If not you might need to allow that to happen.

 

Have you tried turning off any security software to test and see if there is a conflict with Origin? If there is then you can start from there.

Origin? As in EA Origin? Ooooh, scary! I abandoned my spywa...uh, Origin.
