Prison location mods?

Are there any mods that create a larger prison...more like a full penitentary instead of a basement jail.  I know of the Carcernus mod, but that's more like a torture dungeon sort of thing.


 


I'm sort-of-maybe considering making a more interactive prison experience (probably for much higher bounty levels), but I don't really want to make the location myself.  It'd need, at the very least, multiple cells, a room for guards, maybe a warden office, possibly a messhall, shower room, prison yard, etc.


 


Also...absolutely no guarantee that I follow through on this, so I don't want to ask anyone to go through the trouble of making the location from scratch.

Here's a large prison, with guards, where you can become the warden.  You can arrange cage fights, etc.   It gives you a spell to send anyone in the game to prison.  It's great for those annoying esential NPC, that you can't yet kill because you need them later in the game.

This mod is high on my recommended list.  Countless hours of lulz to be had here.  

 

I've had the annoying fan locked up since the minute I became warden.   A glitch feature in the mod, is that respawning characters, who are sent to the prison, will respawn at the enterance to the prison every time you go there. (they can't escape the prison, but they do make it out of their prison cell when they respawn, but the entrance is sealed)  Later on, I sent a couple of other agressive actors to prison, who also respawn. They don't like the annoying fan any more than I do, and they have no problem attacking, and killing him on sight.  So every time I goto carcernus, as soon as I arrive, I get to see the annoying fan killed over and over again.   

 

If you have the set essential actor spell, you can change NPCs so they don't respawn.

Along with the prison, you also get a spell to "clap in irons" which comes in handy often.   for people that you want to temporarily slap the cuffs on, rather than sending them off to prison, and having to go release them later.  

 

I've been using the prison for a long time, and haven't had any problems with it.  Some of the guards sometimes fight with one another. I think it's day shift vs. night shift or something.  Maybe it only happens if you are in the prison during shift change.

 

I've sent several creatures into the prison, to reduce the population, and or to stop rioting.  I've sent away necromancers using the spell, but for some reason, they are never in the prison, when I go there. 

 

With so many large, and small cells to work with, you can isolate prisoners in different areas.  Give them conjugal visits, or not.

what happens in carcernous, stays in carcernous.

 

 

I don't know of any other mods that fit the large prison description.

Had my share of fun. With lovers with pk and lovers creatures, it has some spice in it :D


 


ps: forgot to ask. The brood cage on the questioning area. How do i open it ?

I think the Carcernus cages are just activate to open. Generally have the fist icon when moused over (like you'd see on ore objects or sigil stones). At least the holding area cages work that way...though I don't rememebr if the interrogation room cage is any different.

Is the one that is hanging above the pit in the questioning area. When i touch it it says "cage is opened by a switch " but i can't find one.

Ah, checked it out... that cage hanging by the enormous chains is "used" with a switch. Basically, in the interrogation room, there are a bunch of Ayleid button switches. If you're standing by the railing looking at that cage in the pit there are two Ayleid button switches. The one on the left should be activated if you want them in the pit itself. The one on the right should be activated if you want them in the cage in the pit. Once you activate the button you want, cast (p) Move to Cell on the prisoner and they'll be moved to either the pit or the cage in the pit, depending on the button you chose.


 


As far as I can tell, that's the functionality the mod exposes. You can't actually open or close that cage, just put people in it. Though I guess you could put some hostile ranged critter/NPC into the pit and have them attack your caged prisoner. My advice though, use MCS to essentialize ANYONE you take to interrogation. The initial cage they get put in will likely kill them if you don't.

Ah bummer, thought it existed a switch or something. Imagine having 2 ppl fighting in the pit and suddenly a monster falls from the cage !
