Just recently my screen shot capture stopped working, I checked my document form an ballow screenshots is 1 as always but in my data the main is 0 , is it ok to change that to a 1 , or will that mess with my game?

It will be fine to turn that to 1 as it will allow you to take screenshots from within Oblivion using the print screen key on the keyboard.

The "Oblivion.ini" file you have to edit is usually somewhere in C:\, e.g. "C:\user\own documents\my games\oblivion". Check if the file is protected; right-click, Properties and remove the check mark of "write protected" or something if it's there.

The default ini file should be left alone and not edited. The game is using it to generate a new one in case the current ini is damaged, lost or deleted.

Like Perfectioncat said in the other thread, check your video settings if Anti-Aliasing is enabled. It's not possible to use the in-game screen capturing function with AA in effect.

If your problem persists even with AA disabled you can download and use a free third-party screen capturing software.

The most popular and widely used one is FRAPS.
