Wow. Lots of cool stuff that some people posted here. Alas, with my university and other real life stuff, I didn't have much time to check or contribule with anything  . Sad pants. Anyway, since I'm already here, I decided to finish a silly and very meh story. Didn't took a lot of time. Some clipping here and there because I didn't bother to fix some of my custom stuff in blender, plus, I'm not exactly a writer, I had this idea like... yesterday(?) and decided to write something really fast just for the lols... english is not my native language btw so bear with me...

 

So here it is:

 

Arirk's first mercenary job in Skyrim

Arirk: Good evening, sir. I was told that you would have rooms and food. I've been traveling for the whole day and I need to rest.

Wilhelm: Of course. 10 gold for the room. As for the food, you can ask Lynly over there for something.

Arirk: Thanks.

Wilhelm: So... You seem to very well equipped for a pilgrim. Perhaps you should protect your legs a little more though... still most climb the montain with just a dagger or short sword. Always ready for anything, I suppose, huh?

Arirk: What? Sorry, but I'm no pilgrim. I'm actually new in Skyrim. Just a traveler trying to see best of her homeland, I guess.

Wilhelm: Really? Hmm... I wonder if you can help with something then. Judging by your weapons, I suppose you must be a seasoned warrior, aren't you?

Arirk: I guess... I don't want to boast, but I think I'm pretty good.

Wilhelm: I need you to retrieve a thing for me. I'll pay 3000 gold. 1000 upfront.

Arirk: 3000 just to pick something!? Sounds too good to be true. What's the catch?

Wilhelm: The thing that I want you to retrieve is a weapon. A dwarven axe.

Arirk: So? I know that you won't see a lot of people using something like this, but I doubt they are worth that much.

Wilhelm: Well... This one was enchanted by someone very talented. And the catch? The man that stoled from me. He's a dangerous bastard and I fear of what he might do if he comes here again using my weapon.

Arirk: I see. Well, the gold is welcome. I'll accept the job.

Wilhelm: You will? Nice! He came here with some of his goons, made a mess of my inn, stole my weapon and the guards did nothing. Not a lot of people to count around here.

Arirk: I would still like to sleep before though. We can discuss more about the job tomorrow if you like.

Wilhelm: Sure. If you're done, let me show your room.

Wilhelm: If you need anything else, just call me.

Arirk: I will. Much obliged.

Arirk wasn't expecting a work like this to come out of nowhere nor she wanted to make a reputation of a mercenary, but she was running short of money and this was a good opportunity to keep her travels going. Besides, she faced way worse things than bandits before.

Without thinking too much about it, she decided to sleep.

 

Dirty work

Wilhelm paid her the 1000 gold upfront like he promised, gave details of the place where the thief is now and made sure for her to not escape with his money. She felt a little insulted. To insinuate she's a thief. Of course not. Besides, waste the opportunity gaining more 2000 gold? Not a chance, but...

She arrived in the fortress where the thief was hiding. She did not expect that he would have so many goons with him.

Discovered, she had no choice, but to fight dozens of them at once.

Overcoming the odds, she defeated them, but no sight of the real thief.

She decided to stay in the fortress for a few hours. It didn't take too long for a way better equipped bandit to appear. It was him. He didn't see very impressed nor bothered with the slaughter that just happened.

Arirk: And here you are. I believe you have something that belongs to my friend. Give me the axe back.

Owen: *grins* Hey, hey, pretty face. Do you think that just because you killed these useless maggots I'll be scared of you? Wilhelm is such a coward. He owned money, you know? This axe was the only thing that I found there to pay a part of his debt. 

Arirk: Is that so? I was hoping we didn't have to resort to violence... Come on then!

She had the upperhand in the beginning of the fight, but the axe enchantment's drained her stamina. Unable to fight back, Owen didn't have a lot of trouble in defeating Arirk.

Owen: For someone that just murdered dozens of my men, I expected a better fight, pretty face.

Arirk: What... What are you going to do with me?

Owen: Hmm... Should just kill you and send your head back to Wilhelm. Maybe this time he'll actually pay the rest of my money.

Arirk: ...

Owen: But I can't kill you... You look so pretty in this tight armor of yours... Tell you what, not going to kill you, but expect to not be able to sit in the next few days, hahaha...

Arirk: What...?

Thanks, @Skyrimdude! Just something I puted together and decided to share. There are some things that I wanted to fix, like the bracers clipping too much in her hands and the color of her greaves not matching the color of her armor, but maybe I'll have something better next time (hopefully I'll have time to make something more actually...). As for her sucess... well, she's resourceful and defeated far worse things than silly bandits (perhaps even got fucked by worse things as well lol).

Chapter 2: Working Relations

I was making my way back to Solitude when I noticed the path leading up into the mountains, and the destination at the end of it.  It appears my cover from my first trip into the Thalmor Embassary is still intact, seeing as how no Thalmor death squads have come to try and kill me in my sleep.  High Elves like to think themselves so clever but in the end the only thing they have over other race is arrogance.  Then again nords are pretty dam arrogant, imperials too, don't get me started on bretons... I'm getting off topic.  Anyways this means if they don't know it was me who snuck in and got that info, means a pretty powerful political card might still be in play.

The hard part was convincing the others to come with me.  Of course Qulshiya agreed, but of course I wasn't really asking her.  Ambriel was quite understandably against going in there, but I smiled, and told her to trust me, that I had a plan.  I took one of the old ceremonial dunmer mask I found in a dungeon and said to just be quiet and follow my lead.  She did not look very happy with that explanation, but followed me up the mountain path all the same.

The guards didn't shoot me with lightning as I approached, always a good sign when dealing with mages and/or elves.  I was told Elenwen was here, but she was in the middle of some very important business and would get to me when she was done.  After a few hours waiting while staring at the walls and sipping their wine, an aide finally came and escorted to her Solar at the rear of the compound.  Once there we talked for a good while, I won't bore you with the details, eventually I was able to drift the conversation toward a round two in the bedroom, what you probably want to read ya dam perv.  You might be wondering why I bothered with this, hike out of my way up a cold ass mountain side to a place full of people who very well might murder me.  Sex with high elves is amazing.  You see, sex with elves in general is pretty great, I'd recommend getting a daily dose of elven ass if possible.  But on top of the normal reason, they are crazy in the sack.  I don't know if cause they normally have to pretend to be so cultured and refined and their normal line of bullshit and arrogance so they really cut loose when they can.  So if you can find yourself an altmer willing to have sex with you, get on board that ship and you'll never regret it.
