obge cell shading and performance

I sort of like the whole cell shading effect. I like the comical look it provides. I'm thinking about getting obge really just for the cell shading and nothing else. At least, nothing too major.

Will obge cell shading take that big of a hit on performance? I am not using any texture mods. If it does take a hit on performance, is it still worth it?

I am running oblivion on a 2.4 ghz. quad core (yes, I know oblivion only takes 1 of them, pity...) 4 gb. RAM and a Nvidia 260 gtx.

It shouldn't have much of an effect at all. Most of the options you can choose from don't impact the game to hard until you start to use the various types of SSAO. Which if you dont have a video card that supports ambient occlusion I would highly recommend using it, as it seriously makes the game more beautiful, but again with a performance hit.

The only thing to watch out for is the fact that there are a ton of people who have had thier oblivion broken by OBGE, so if you have the space I would absolutely make a copy of your oblivion folder before you install and start to mess with OBGE. I use it and I love it.
