I feel really bad that nobody is sharing Steam info in this thread; but then I don't really like leaving my contact info out in the open for just anybody to find which makes me sound like a hypocrite, so I feel even worse.

 

I'm sure I've mentioned on here how I ended up with a really creepy guy on my steam friends list before. I never accept friend requests from people unless I'm expecting them or they come from people I recognize and I also don't use voice chat or use feminine sounding usernames anymore either. The internet is not a friendly place for folks like me.

Heh, I feel the exact same. I've never been an "ALL THE FRIENDS" person when it comes to stuff like xbox live, steam, and forums. I always feel terrible the few times I have to reject a friend request from someone I don't really know or anything.

When it comes to multiplayer these days, I'm not so much into online competitive except for one or two games.  Not a big fan of the retarded 12 year old mentality that seems to have taken over.  In fact, I generally only play competitive if I have friends playin with me, and we end up chasing each other around the map more than anything else.  However, I do love some co-op play, and I don't have nearly enough friends with the same games that I have that live near enough that we don't lag each other out.  With SRIV comin out, I wanna cause mayhem and havok, and mayhem and havok is always more fun with friends.

Indeed, I really don't like playing online games with strangers most of the time; both for the reasons you mention and for reasons I mentioned earlier as well as a few other reasons I'm sure.

Never liked swapping IDs with people I don't know, hell I did even give my account information to family members.

 

You have to earn my trust to get anything like that from me. Besides giving someone your SteamID can help them steal your account. So yeah no thanks.

I've got a friend from back in the day on Steam and we kind of re-connected on LL.  She basically went "Holy shit, is that you?"  And went from there.  She rants, I listen, we both mock stupid people.  It's great :-P

Only 1 person on this site has access to 2 of my accounts and the worrying part is, it's not even a family member  It's just some stranger I met 2 years ago on this forum.
