SITE MOVED - IN READ ONLY MODE   12/08/2015

Please use http://www.loverslab.com moving forward. Site has been restored to a previous version, and this one placed into a read-only mode. This is available for a limited time so users may reference/copy content that has been lost in the transition. This will no longer be accessible by December 22nd, 2015.

Download from LoversLab using MO

Until I get a response from Ashal, I'm afraid this project is very much on pause. The site itself would need to be changed to make this possible. I'm sorry I haven't made this AWESOME feature a reality, but it requires an overhaul of the site, not just MO. Sorry.

The PM has been sent, but no reply. Perhaps I should try again, but understand that I'm asking a lot of Ashal in this case.

Nexus like simplicity of downloads would be really great. I understand if it is too complicated or ads are an issue or something, but adding this functionality to LL gets a vote from me.

Well, the update is appreciated.  I had thought it was closer to being a reality and afraid it had been posted in another topic and I missed it or something.  Thanks for all the effort on this.  MO is just such an incredible management program.  I just wish it were as easy to keep up with the mod changes here as it is on....<glances over shoulder and whispers>...That other site...

Even if we got it made and working, MO gets so many updates, it may be hard to keep up. Who knows, maybe I'll still figure something out. Whatever happens, I'm pretty sure I'll need Ashal's help with it. The idea is not abandoned, it just requires a conversation between 3 specific people. We'll see. I want it pretty bad.

would even be enough if it would show if an update to a loverslab file got published, and provide a downloadlink to the downloadsection like for the sexlab framework it would be:

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/150-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v134-updated-1230/

i just hate it when i have to check prior to playing 100 sites if an update is available or not, the downloadsection recently filter helps a lot to help me there, but some are still thread attachments, so i think there is no tool to help me with that.

if its something simple like above, i think it would even be save to include it into MO directly, if it only shows the functionallity when a Loverslab file is there(like you have to place a ini into the zip where the downloadpage is and with versionnumber), so it won't disturb Nexususers, and can maybe help someone to monitor updates from other skyrim modsites too.

Are you saying just have a site-link, and have MO inform you when an update happens? That's part of my problem...

basicly yes, but without the entire sitedownload just the headers.

the 2nd entry could be used like the current visit modsite on nexus thing.

like it would need 2 things in a file(don't know the internals of MOs meta.ini so ... )

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/150-

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/150-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v134-updated-1230/

and if it asks for the first one, and get a url back, that isn't like the 2nd one it should tell me.

if i see its something that isn't for me, i can edit the file to

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/150-

http://www.loverslab.com/files/file/150-skyrim-sexlab-sex-animation-framework-v135-updated-0102/

and MO thinks i have the new version.

It must not be accurate to version numbers or anything

Should be possible (i am no php, html or network guru) to  just ask to what the first entry redirects you without getting the actual site data send(i think addblockers or redirect warnings are doing this?) and match it to the 2nd one with a delay of 2 sec after each mod, so you don't ddos the server. If you have 100 loverslab mods it will take you 3-4 mins to see if there are any updates.

And MO only would need an API to tell your plugin what and where the file is, that it wants checked and wait on the true or false of your plugin to set it to update available or i got the newest version.

on the bad site it would only be compatible with LL i think, as i don't think other Modsites reflect updates in the url?

I don't know if normal Forumtopics can be changed too, but if true, even forumattached wip mods could be tracked this way, when the mod author keeps the forumtitle up to date :)

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20587-

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/20587-download-from-loverslab-using-mo/

for this topic for example, and if you put a [WIP] in front of it, it would announce a modupdate  :)

//edit: put a random in for 2-7sec atter each mod and i don't think it will be dedectable, if the devs don't answer :P

don't know how to do if it works with loverslab:

http://stackoverflow.com/questions/3074288/get-url-after-redirect

//edit2: ok works with LL :)

http://www.internetofficer.com/seo-tool/redirect-check/

when i put in the first lines

@Lesbync: If you figure it out, let me know, and you will then be awesome. I have no time anymore to work on MO (school), so ideas are welcome.

I may have time on weekends to jump in MO and achieve my goal (at least partly). Hopefully. I've been swamped with work since I got here. :(

Thanks. ;)
