Inventory Idle

Is there a way to change inventory idle without messing with other npcs in a game? Inventory animation goes from _male folder and I don't want to see those male npcs running around "flamboyant" (can't change with cs from special animations folder). Tried to search condition scripts for inventory idle in Cs to go with animation , but found nothing.

_male stands also for player character not male in general.

Peek in personality_idlespb.esp

Or DCM stylish.

This mods affect PC only.

Dmc only changes animations in a game world, it doesn't affect inventory idles, only if you change animations in _male folder(but that will make all males look like queers), because special animationss can't mess with your characters "inventory" idles. Tried personality idles, they didn't work, because they change game world animations only. Well what I thought about was: there should be a script or something that points the game engine to _male folder and then animations appear in menu mode, an edited copy of that script pointing at desired animation should do the trick (if my thoughts are correct). But im not an advanced modder so I don't know what to do...Anyway thanks for trying. (And yes you are correct, _male folder stands for female and male npcs and for menu mode animations of your character)*

The inventory idles are

\meshes\characters\_male\idle.kf

\meshes\characters\_male\onehandidle.kf

there is no "inventory idle." You won't be able to replace them without replacing in game animations as well.

Waaait a second, I think I figured it out, I'll just change those idles and males will act like queers, and then I'll change male animations from CS from special animation folder to force them act normal again, and my characters menu idle will be changed to smexy! Woohoooo~! Or not, I'll try it out.

I just think its impossible to get it to work the way you want it to. The idle will always be replacing some sort of in game animation. The other mod that has been done had to do the invisible bow equip which completely overrides all the bow idles.

If you ever manage to figure it out though, my lawd.

There are alot of mods that don't replace but add animations, like coloursheels replacement for imperial legion, replaced female npcs have custom sitting and walking animations, and other npcs including imperials are unharmed. Seductive idles have the same thing and etc. So may I ask, do you MOD? Because I opened those mods in CS and they have condition scripts.

I think the FFXIII race mod changes the inventory idle. You might want to look into that and see how they did it. At least I think it was that mod. I know I once changed my unarmed idle pose to a more traditional fighting stance but I cant recall if it also changed the animation out of the inventory menu. Unfortunately I also had a lot of other mods installed and Im not 100% sure if it was the ffxiii mod that caused the menu animation to be edited.

Just look inside the folder of the ffxiii mod and see if any kf files could be inventory poses and then see how they made it work with CS. If it isnt that mod then let me know, I will try to dig through my mod folder and see if I can come up with any mods that might possibly be the one you need.

None of the animations for walking, running, and sitting are used in any other places other than doing just that. The animation idles for 1 handed weapon and unarmed are used for that and are used as inventory idles. You can create new animations and set a condition for it through age and other variables, but I don't see how you would be able to create a condition where an animation is being used in two separate instances.

Also, I don't mod but I do programming on my own. I might be completely wrong on this topic and I won't stop you from trying. Seeing as how I haven't personally modded and I might not know the intricacies of the conditions in Oblivion.

Do you have a link? I can't find it, stumbled on some ff mods but they only add items.

Im sorry, Im completely misunderstood what you are trying to achieve here. You basically want the game to split weapon idle and inventory idle up so they use 2 different animations or at least force inventory idle to use a certain animation? In that case idk any mod that does that. Not even specialanims.esp does this which is what Im using. Tbh I dont think inventory idle is high up on the list of priorities for modders so maybe thats why no one has done it yet.

Btw what about Mayus Animation Overhaul? That makes it so that NPCs and player are separated from using the same animation like specialanims but Mayu's lets you use custom power attack animations so maybe it does something different that could prove useful in your efforts. Hope you find a solution, didnt mean to string you along before, I just read your intentions wrongly.
