Devious Devices - Integration. (10/9/2015)

You should check the mod order with Wrye Bash, by rebuilding the bash patch. If it gives you a warning when you try to rebuild the patch about DD Expansion and Integration, then you need to swap the order of the mods until you dont get any error, that way Devious Devices will always load.

did both files get updated today?

 

No files got updated today, the post just got updated to correct an oversight about the listed DDx requirements (it still said that only CBBE was supported, but that's nolonger true and hasen't been for a while).

So, I'm not seeing Devious Devices anywhere in my MCM.  I've uninstalled and reinstalled, messed with mod order (using some suggestions I found searching this thread), and nothing.  I can make the items fine, I found the book that tells you about them, but I can't utilize them or get the quest, and I think that's linked to not seeing it anywhere in Mod Configuration Menu.  What did I mess up?

 

The MCM menu is vital, DD does not work right at all if that does not register.

 

How many MCM enabled mods are you using? That's the one thing that springs to my mind right now, if you've got a lot of them and they are all trying to register at the same time on a new game start, then sometimes things do get lost in the rushhour initialization traffic.

 

You could try starting again with a few of them disabled, so there's fewer mods fighting to all get noticed and started, and then enable the rest after a save. 

 

 

Devious Devices is the only MCM menu that I have a problems with. It fails to appear almost every time, when I try to make a new game. This is equally true now as it was before changes that were done to it's loading.

 

However, it usually only fails once. When I exit from the game, go back and try to make a new game again, then it appears normally.

 

All other menus load normally. I have tried to troubleshoot this on my own, but I thought it was worth mention now that it came up.

 

It is not big deal for a patient man. Just restart the game and go make some coffee. :)

But it is quite strange.

 

 

Ah.  I did get the menu after starting a new game, but there's another odd flaw.  Devious Devices makes the Prisoner Cart at the beginning travel on it's side.  I noticed this before, but this time it was so bad the prisoners with me were stuck behind a fence and couldn't get to the chopping block.  Had to disable the mod, start a new game, then enable it when I got to Riverwood.

 

Still having some issues with save files not wanting to load (either an infinite load screen or CTD on load), but I'm not sure if that's specifically this mod, a combination of mods, or just my damnable luck.

Known bug. As it turns out, any mod that adds an item to the players inventory on startup (in DDi's case, that item is the "device hider") can cause this bug with the startup cart-ride apparently. Min was not aware of this when he added it, but now is, and he seems to have a good idea how to resolve it for future versions.



 




Still having some issues with save files not wanting to load (either an infinite load screen or CTD on load), but I'm not sure if that's specifically this mod, a combination of mods, or just my damnable luck.




 


That's not a DDi bug. If you haven't already, you should check out the Skyrim Stability Guide and definately do what it suggests. Else, you may simply be loading too many goodies into Skyrim, it's a pretty fickle engine, it can only handle so many script-heavy mods and Hi-Def Texture-Packs before the poor thing has a heart-attack.

A tip i use to prevent ctd's on load is i start a new char then load my save but without a alt start it wont be a smart idea also you could unload all mods start a new save and save it in the keep use it as a safe load and never overwrite it there are such saves on the nexus already done for you.

Firstly, thanks for the amazing mod, really great work <3


 


Small query: does anyone know a method or mod for getting good interactions with followers with devices? I can give devices to followers start animations with matchmaker - but is there any way once I've bound myself to get a follower to initiate sex? Most of the other mods involve world NPCs but not followers.

Thanks to this mod greatly improving my gameplay experience these days!


 


A small question about the armbinder. Everything works perfectly on PC. But on follower/NPC, it only works when the NPC is walking. If the NPC starts running or fighting, the armbinder seems keeping trying to bind the NPC's arm, but not always succeed. The NPC will show a rapid switch between free arms and bound arms, and can still attack. Anyone experiencing similar issues?


 


I really want to try calm-pickpocket-armbinder combat strategy :shy:

I can't get the forbidden tome quest to start at all. The Orc has not dialog for the tome and I can't open the shelves.

I have a question i hope has not been asked to many time yet :3


 


When i but harness on my character, mods like Dangerous Night will only allow boob job or oral, no other sex.


Is harness not supposed to have opening for anal and vagina unless there is plug inside?

It's supposed to hold them in and from when I've looked it appears like their isn't a opening so i think they are meant to prevent vaginal/anal sex

 

Checked one harness and i think you'd have to be on the small side for it to work

I think it might depend on which one you have. My 'Custom Slave Harness' doesn't seem to block entry, but one of the other ones (Ebonite I think) works as both a harness and a chastity belt.

Oh wow thank you for fast reply you both! I have just tried with one from Devious Devices standard, not from Extensions - i will try with the Custom from Extension now, maybe it work then. From looking it look like it has opening, but maybe it is only intended as spot for plugs.


 


Edit: I just try with Ebonite and Custom, and Ebonite also disable all sex beside Oral and Boobjob it seem, with Custom it seem all sex works. I guess it is intended, but to bad, i wanted my character to wear normal harness below clothes and still be able to do all sex :c

I got the mod to work, but I can't seem to find the items for Zed. It just shows me two marker to two ruins that doesn't help


 


 


Where do i find the stuff for Zed?

Does it matter what order you take both quests? 


 


I stole the books, read them,  then did the other quest - finished and got the recipe, still not sure where you craft it as an enchantment table seems to have a weird place holder item labeled (9)  - and now back to the librarian...

I got the mod to work, but I can't seem to find the items for Zed. It just shows me two marker to two ruins that doesn't help

 

 

Where do i find the stuff for Zed?

 

The third may be in Solsthiem (Dragonborn) as I understand...

 

 

My problem is I found Zed... saved him from an ice troll,  He replaces my plugs after I ask for the book , and I'm still left with "Approach Zed", but he says nothing more...

 

Damn belt is a pain as am a human sucubus due to completing Angrims, Walk five feet pause in frustration, loose mana, walk another five feet pause in frustration, loose mana... see a pattern? Is getting old. ;) LOL

 

Is there some threshold where he talks again?

Don't you just craft everything at a forge? Or am I just being dumb

Finally got it! 

 

Is a bug, well kind of. Do not be a sucubus in heat! ... Well any time the converstion with Zed is interupted he bugs and you cannot reopen the conversation.  This include if the character goes into one of those "frustrated ho in a belt"  moment animations.

please can someone tell me whats is the item/effect xx040F0C ?

I get one more of this thing every time I get equipped by devices in Devious Regulation but it comes from Integration.

I cant see any visible effect and I wonder about its purpose

The editorID is "zad_DeviceHider". Should be obvious what it does. ;)
