Hello!

 

First of all, sorry if this problem has already been solved, but honestly, I don't want to read all the pages to see that.

Si, I'm posting a message because DD - Integration doesn't install properly... Everytime I tried, a pop-up mesage appear, saying:

"A fatal error has occured with your installation of Devious Devices. Incomplete uninstall attemp perhaps? Aborting update chain."

 

It's true that I've uninstalled DD - Integration before, but I didn't think I made something wrong...

 

Can somebody help me? I really want to use this nice mod ^^"

 

I get that with all mods on the Nexus mod manager if I don't right click on the Nexus mod manager to load, selecting RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. I also have to do that when I run FNIS, or I get the same error message...

I get that with all mods on the Nexus mod manager if I don't right click on the Nexus mod manager to load, selecting RUN AS ADMINISTRATOR. I also have to do that when I run FNIS, or I get the same error message...

 

 

 

I just tried, but it didn't work :/  (with both NMM and FNIS, I tried several times but it didn't work)

Not sure if this is the correct Devious topic to post in, but the Chastity Belt (The "get it off") quest is enabled, though I don't seem to have one on.  I've tried looking for invisible items, may have missed some.

 

EDIT: I did miss some, however, player.removeitem doesn't seem to be doing the job though, Master at Captured Dreams tried to give me a Free Trial, and Master is SUPPOSED to be scripted to remove everything, even the unremovable.

 

 

The Free Trial was not set up to remove items, it was intended for people with no items on. I have made some changes to that so she will remove standard devices you may have on first.

 

 

I have seen the issue with the Chastity Belt quest not ending as well on occasion but not all the time. The function I made to remove belts is set to skip the Mutex function on removal but it goes through a number of checks on the item before it removes them. Equipping and removing a belt will end the quest normally though.

 

 

It seems that unequipping items with Skip Mutex set as true was causing it, don't know why it started now as I had been doing it before. I have changed it to false for the next update and that seems to have fixed the issue.

so for me to let npcs (like vilja or any followers or shop keepers lol etc)

i have to use the console menu help chastity every time? or how can i make them wear the blind fold etc?

Don't uninstall mods mid-playthrough. Your only recourse (if you wish to continue that savegame) is to attempt to use a savegame claner, like Scalpel.

 

No mater what i do i can't finish Sergius task to fill the plug.

Log seem to be clear, no trace of conversation with Sergius.

The plug will charge periodically so long as your arousal is at '100'. Pay attention to the charging messages. Once the plug is near charging, seek out Sergius.

Nothing in this mod requires the use of the console. For followers, merely trading the item to them will be sufficient to equip it upon them. For shopkeepers, reverse pickpocketing will suffice.

Is there any way to make Devious Devices work with some great mods like:

Craftable Panties Bras and Stockings for CBBEv3M by goTha http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/16837/?

and

Remodeled Armor CBBEv3M by MAK http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/13004/?

I can't equip stockings or lower parts of armors with belts or plugs.

I'm sure this quest bug has been reported already many times, but it does spoil the quest `Forbidden Tome`. The quest dialogue seems very temperamental and can stall, if interrupted


  • Starting the quest with Urag in the Arcanium. This took several attempts before I received correct instructions to find Zed. The animation to  apply the chastiy belt seems to interrupt the dialogue.
  • When I found Zed, the dialogue can be interrupted by the MCM option  `masturbate on belt removal`, if selected. Again it took several attempted to get passed Zed asking `do you want something'. Once I had unselected the option, the quest dialogue completed as it should.

Would it be possible to ensure that the dialogue can't be interrupted. Perhaps you could override the MCM option, until quest dialogue is complete.

How long does (should) it take to [struggle] out of an armbinder? I've just started a new game and after spending 30 mins solid just struggling I'm still not out.

I've even dropped the escape difficulty all the way from 185 to 10, and I'm still not out after another 20 mins...

 

The first 5 attempts will always fail, and then it's 5% chance after that. That's what I was told when I asked how it worked.

 

 

First 5 will fail, after that the chance to escape grows by 1% each try, starting from 5%.

 

The unlock chance doesn't have any effect on the armbinder. It affects the lockpick chance on other items. Also, what does the struggle message say? It will tell you if you can't struggle out of it on your own ;) And if you can struggle out of it, the last struggel will also give a different message after which you need to use "take it off" instead of "struggle". TL;DR: read the messages.

 

Thanks for all the help. Turns out LADL puts me in an inescapable version of the Armbinder. :dodgy:

Finally figured that out by using Skyrim Bound to test one that was escapable and got a different struggle message.

After becoming an expert at "gag talk" you get the permanent speech debuff, which makes it possible to speak to any NPC while wearing a gag, any way to disable said speech debuff? Or toggle it off in the MCM menu, it is just too easy with it on.

Quit trying to make my life harder.  :P

 

Though a permanent debuff maybe too easy, but having to go through it all over again is a "lets revert to previous save" annoying...could NPCs be flagged for having enough practice listening to you mumble and squirm so that NPC always knows what you're saying?

 

(ugh...another thing for every NPC to be saddled with)

After becoming an expert at "gag talk" you get the permanent speech debuff, which makes it possible to speak to any NPC while wearing a gag, any way to disable said speech debuff? Or toggle it off in the MCM menu, it is just too easy with it on.

You didn't follow the installation instructions (You're missing a dependency). Use tes5edit to figure out which.

Ooooh! I just looked at the debuff spell in CK. It totally looks like a bug. It's missing conditions that would tell it to only work while player is gagged.


 


Unless it does get added and removed from player all the time but that sounds very inefficient ^^

It is indeed added/removed as needed. I didn't write the code for that (We merged Zenetx's gags overhaul for that behavior), though that approach seems reasonable to avoid interfering with other speech dependent things (Some of the SkyRe perks come to mind). Whether those should be interfered with is up for debate, though I imagine that was probably the reasoning.

Yep, It's added and removed. It's overly simple and overly tested before (since Jbezorg Gags+ mod)

 

When you mastered gag talk, you no longer receive the debuff, it's before that. And the debuff doesn't affect if you can speak or not.

 

Theoretically you just need to talk to any npc and this should happen:

I'm having a problem with my installment of DD, it appears that only gags, blindfolds, collars and the collar part of harnesses appear on my characters. I have all the required mods and they're all up to date, DDi, DDa and DDx. I just don't know why they don't appear on my characters. Also when I drop the items on the ground I'm able to see them. 

I have made some pictures regarding the problem :

 

This pic has the DD red ebonite, as you can see only the upper bit appears.

I self believe that something went wrong with the body mods I have installed. I ran the mods with both CBBEv3 and UNPB but they dont appear on either of them.

Anybody know what I do wrong here? If so, let me know.

Mod Organiser and Wrye Bash both recognise the File Structure of the DD Assets and Expansion and can install the requirements for CBBE or UNP/B correctly. I am not sure if NMM is capable of installing the Mods correctly.

DDX requires the 00 Core and 01 CBBE OR 01 UNPB to be installed.

DD Assets requires 00 Core, the appropriate 01 for the body installed, and the appropriate 02 to be installed.

 

 

So if I want to switch between UNPB and CBBE I need to first get rid of the installed files and then install the files of the other mod?

 

Edit : right now I have most mods that I think could affect the body disabled, installed the CBBE only files from DDa, DDx & DDi, still the items dont appear on my character.

 

You need the Files in 00 Core to be installed, because this is where Textures and the Ground Models are from. You then need to install the Meshes that match the Body Replacer, all of the Meshes are in the 01 file for the body.

The 02 Files in Assets are for the Nipple Piercings, if You have a TBBP Body then install the TBBP, a BBP Body needs the BBP files.

You can make a "Mod" by installing everything for CBBE into a Folder, the turning the Folder into an Archive with a name like Devious Devices for CBBE. You can make another Mod by installing everything for UNPB and naming the Archive created to Devious Devices for UNPB. You now can have two identical Folders that can be enabled or disabled when switching Bodies in the Game.

I hope You can understand this.

 

 

The 00 file are installed.

The 01 file for CBBE is installed.

The 02 file BBP (CBBE) is installed.

 

I'm using CBBE curvy.

I don't use any bodyslide mods, the mods that I do use that affect bodies are Complete Male Overhaul, Better Male Feet, Extended Slider Colors, No More Blocky Faces and the XPMS skeleton.

 

 

i've been adding and deleting all kinds of mods trying to find whats wrong but to no result, so i ask again if sombody knows how i can fix this? im sure something is wrong with the body mod im using but even with only CBBEv3 curvy active the problem isn't solved and im certain all mods are up to date :(

I recently went through the steps of the FAQ, finding Close resembelance to the problem in the known issue, but not enough that it helped, i found an ealier post With the exact same problem and tried the solution, it only worked halfway, now the Inventory item was on, but i could only unequip the Inventory item, the bra on my char is still on, no matter what i do, eighter in consol command or in Inventory.

 

And just to kick me while i'm Down, it looks like the debug log dosn't wanna play fair eighter, i've enabled what should be enabled in the Skyrim.ini, but i find no log file there, i'm at the end With no idea what to do Next, any suggestion?

Just a silly question, but are you using Mod Organizer? If you do, then did you remember to edit the Skyrim.ini for your profile, instead the one behind Documents > My Games > Skyrim?

Just asking, because that would be a very common mistake.

Just asking, because that would be a very common mistake.

 

I had a problem where my logs weren't showing up. I had edited the correct Skyrim.ini file and put the values in correctly:

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=1
bEnableTrace=1
bLoadDebugInformation=1

However, I didn't actually look at the ini file, just copied and pasted the variables, saved and closed... and this was sitting above it:

[Papyrus]
fPostLoadUpdateTimeMS=500.0
bEnableLogging=0
bEnableTrace=0
bLoadDebugInformation=0

For some reason having duplicate entries stopped it from working.

It would seem logical that the engine would read in INI entries from top to bottom, and if any entries were duplicated it would just overwrite using the newer values, but apparently not.

 

tl,dr

Check to see that your skyrim.ini file has only one "papyrus" section.

and now thats done... where is the logs now suppoed to show up? still can't find them in documents > My Games > Skyrim.

For making devices: One of the books you should have found in the forbidden bookshelf at the start of the quest will give the you the ability to craft devices and keys at any forge, in the miscellaneous section. But you have to read the book from your inventory, not from the bookcase's menu. Urag takes the book from you when he catches you, so if you didn't read it before then you may not be able to get it back unless you use the console to give yourself a copy. I think it's called Devious Devices - Chastity Belts Volume 1.

The Sustained Drip spell will activate an NPC's plug, if it is capable of vibrating.
