If your log is over 1mb then something bad has happened at some point. It sounds like you have removed some mods since starting your current game, if so that can cause a number of issues as script and their properties get saved in your save game. You can try a save cleaner to clean those items out but if it is really bad I would recommend a new game.

Hmm, I guess it isnt that bad then since it isnt over 1 mb, and it is a new game so... I dunno maybe theyre normal then. Character is definitely new though, and only level 1.

My startup log is only 130kb, but I do have something like 200+ mods so I guess that would be normal? When I opened it though I really wasnt expecting like 860 lines of stuff though, which is a lot when I dont know what most of it means.

I guess it doesnt hurt to post it though if anyone did want to look. Though I wont expect anyone too. I'm just slowly going through it all myself to see if anything jumps out at me...

Startup.log

Post a log where you have played, one where you crash would be best. The startup log is just the various mods going through their initialization and isn't enough.

With Estrus, what version are you using?

My logs from gameplay are typically 500kb - 600kb running the max number of esp's (only about 50 armor and weapon mods) but if I have a mod that starts causing issues it goes up to well over 1mb.

Well I havent crashed yet, the error only pops up when I just start so I figured it would be in a startup log. I can play though, sometime after long sessions skyrim might crash. Like, several hours. Seems kinda random though. I figure it just eventually runs out of memory or I hit some instability with one of these beta mods Im playing with. As far as Estrus... hmm, as far as I know I have the latest version of it. Wont hurt anything to go check though and be sure. I'm thinking about probably uninstalling it though, I just wanted to try it out since Kimmy included it with her cursed loot recently.

The main mod is Estrus 1.2, the deviant one is 3.39b. Wish my devious mods had more links in the description for their download pages. Would be very convenient. *looks around loverslab.* Ah theres a new one, 3.91a. I coulda sworn I just downloaded it not long ago but who knows. I could try updating it, or maybe I might remove it since it isnt really essential for me. I'll get back to ya when I figure out if that got rid of the error or not. Thanks for the catch though. Again, appreciate it Vel.

Edit= Yup updated Estrus, still getting the error. I might try uninstalling it later to see if that fixes it. Cant remember if I had the error before or after getting Estrus, but it definitely was about the same time.

Make sure you are using the Estrus+ mod from here on LL that does not use the Actor Events mod, that one does not cause problems like the one that uses it.

The Estrus for Skyrim mod is pretty buggy as well. The esp and scripts aren't needed for EC+ so unless you're set on using the spells from it you'll be better off either deactivating the zzEstrus.esp or better still remove it and the scripts file from the mod before installing it.

Thanks for the advice, I have it installed but deactivated the main mod, and I updated the EC+ one. Still getting the error but its one potential problem down at least. *nods* Ill have to play some more when I have time do get a crash log for you guys. Right now gotta go to bed so I have some sleep before work in like 5 hours~

I dont see why not... since its essentially just new armor that carries penalties and skyre/requiem mess with the skills and perks. Should be able to use both since they do completely different things... unless Im missing something. I dont use skyre myself though.

Btw, I played pretty much all day and no crashes. Drat... ?

No I meant the devices underneath system with the whole device hider. Visually hiding devices under clothes and things. Sorry for the confusion.

So it's late and I'm tired and I should probably be searching through the two hundred and eighty whatever pages for this, but..

I've noticed a couple of issues with the Devious Devices quest.

1) Urag spouts some line about 'don't even bother trying to break out of the restraints, you'd just be wasting your time.' Yet, it seems to be completely possible to break out by yourself, and the quest even updates, acknowledging that you've done so...?

2) I wasn't thrilled with the idea of offending the Librarian, whom I had just impressed by recovering books and telling him I'M THE BLEEPING DRAGONBORN. But then you take his forbidden books and he doesn't seem to care about any of that. Okay, fine. So then I started wondering if he'd allow me to take them once I was the Arch-Mage. So I've been playing Skyrim all evening, I finally finished the College quests, aaand... it's exactly the same. He still spouts the same line about the books being off-limits, by order of the arch-mage.

I have a problem with DD and i'm asking for help

everythings seems to be ok (MCM menu, devices on my character, etc ...) but some animations do not play.

Horny animation (the one on knees) is playing, electric shock too, for exemple

It seems that every animations related to vibration dont play. I have the sound of the vibrations, the screen is vibrating, but my character is keeping to idle with the standart animation (but i cant walk or run, i'm stuck for the time of the event, like intented) and i know there are animations here as i play this mod for a long time, but i reinstalled skyrim recently.

By the way i didnt see any line in MCM menu of DD with "register animation" ?

i already tried to rebuild animations in sexlab

edit : in fact i can move freely, that was because i was waiting a courrier. But for strong vibration, soft vibration, etc ... no animation at all ?

Edit 2 : i desactived every mod exept DD and now i have vibration animations but they only last 2 sec

It must be at the end of my papyrus log

It wouldn't need to be an alternate quest. It would just need to have alternate dialogue, similar to the way, when you first attempt to enter the College, Faralda has different dialogue and dialogue options (informing her that you're dragonborn) if you have proceeded far enough into the main quest to be coming to the college in search of the Elder Scroll. I expected something similar here, wherein he still might send you to meet Zed, but wouldn't be mad at you for taking the books and wouldn't put the belt on you. Since, you know, YOU'RE THE ARCH-MAGE now, and not a 'novice of all schools of magic'.

Both will work fine with Devious Devices. A compatibility option exists for SkyRe, so that the proper skill is referenced (Pickpocket rather than "Wayfaring") for escaping devices.

The first is more of a bluff from Urag, then anything. As you've said, the quest handles an escape event as a possible option for the player.

For the second, call it Urag being a ridiculously old senile orc, or lazy dialogue construction, or whatever.

Took a look at your log, and everything look to be working fine. An animation is not guaranteed after each vibration event (It's randomized both at the start of the event, and over the course of the event).

In this log, an animation was indeed supposed to play during this vibration. If one did not, I suspect you neglected to run FNIS.

Alternatively, use Wyer Bash, and it has a function that tells you all you're missing. More familier with that tool, as opposed to Tes5edit.

You're missing a dependency. Use Tes5edit to figure out what dependency you're missing.

With a new game with only DD and immerslave as loverslab's mod vibration animations are playing well.

I will try tonight to reactivate one by one loverslab mod.

My problem occured with a game of 15-20 min of play time, it is possible that skyrim didnt handle well 55 lovers mod activated in a row and need more time ?

Thanks for looking at it and making this great mod.

Btw longer animation (maybe with a option to loop them for the short one?) would be great for some of them which are a bit too short imho. Vibration start, 3 sec animation, 10 sec of free move, 10 sec animation is a pattern i have seen often while testing, 2 sec of free move is wellll enough

Does anyone know what the book "Chastised" from the forbidden bookshelf is supposed to be? At first I thought it was supposed to be a diary the player character was writing as you progress through the College quests, because it doesn't list an author and it exactly mirrors the college quests, down to references to being contacted by the psijic order, the 'orb', retrieving the book stolen from the library... but then it started referring to the writer as a dunmer, and my character is not a dunmer. So, this is an account of a random dunmer who just happened to be doing the exact same things as the player character, at some point in history... yet the librarian referenced in the book is still Urag, so it couldn't have been that long ago, and if that was the case, it would seem like everybody at the College would be going, "Hey, it's like we're reliving the events of the past..." because they would remember it.

And then it goes on to detail not only the same interaction you'll have with Urag, but (I presume) the same events that happen with Zed.

So why was this book included? As I was reading it, I couldn't help but be somewhat put off by the deja vu.

not sure if this was mentioned before or not, but if the "Masterbate on belt removal" is checked when you talk to Zed for the first time, it'll break the quest, and wont advance,
once the belt is removed to be replaced, it doesn't get put on, you just masterbate, and Zed just keeps saying "need somthing" and you'll need to reload the last save and uncheck the option

You are missing some textures. Requirements were listed at the description page. My guess is that you did not notice that ZAP has a separate file for textures.

That is just a bit of devious fiction I wrote that was included in the bookshelf as a bonus to those who may have been interested in reading something like it, not unlike the Lusty Argonian Maid. It also is a bit of a walkthrough, as it is written as a journal from the character's perspective. Not entirely immersive, certainly, but it was never really meant to be.
