Hyneria

Yet another noob question ;_;

I am almost ashamed to ask this, but I really don't find a way to change it. I should have gotten into Skyrim mods a long ago >_<

So, I've been playing after installing all my mods, and I noticed that somehow I am leveling way too fast. Like, absurdly fast. Just in the trip from Helgen to Riverwood and from Riverwood to Bleakfalls Barrow I got to level 8. In like 20 minutes of gameplay. Just selling the loot from the tutorial made me level up twice.

I edited the uncapper ini so I wouldn't level up so fast and yet I am still leveling up like crazy. So, any idea what's up? how can I slow it down?

This is my load order.

Make sure bUseSkillExpGainMults is set to 1, so your changes can take effect in the first place.

Also remember if you want to level skills slower you have to go below "1.0" in the corresponding skill value. As an example a value of "0.9" will level the skill 10% slower, a value of "1.1" levels the skill 10% faster.

I have bUseSkillExpGainMults set to 1, yes :) I assumed 1.0 would be the equivalent to vanilla experience gain, but I'll set them to 0.5 and see if it works.

You have all xpacs, but only using Unofficial Skyrim patch? What about the unofficial Hearthfires, Dawnguard and Dragonborn patches?

Also, why isn't it on top of your load order? I only noticed the CoT .esm, you're not using any of the plugins?

And not sure if it matters 100%, but shouldnRaceCompatibility.esm be the last .esm loaded? :3

That was a pretty dumb mistake from my part :P I will download them down. The load order was arranged by BOSS though :)

As for CoT, I only installed it as it was requiered by Project Enb. Should I download the plug ins too?

if your still having problems setting up elyse correctly, try one of these pre-made better leveling ini's:

http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/43971

Just replace the ini with the one from your skse\plugins\ folder and see if that fixes it.

If you just started a new game, remember that difficulty setting is NOT tied to an individual save, and is a constant. That is to say, if in the end of your last characters playthrough, you where on legendary, you are still on legendary.

The higher the difficulty, the faster skills will gain. I.E : Novice setting has the slowest skill gains, whereas Legendary has the highest. This rule does not always apply to ALL skills, an example is destruction skill, the gains you get based on the damage you do, so you will actually gain destruction FASTER if on Novice. Most skills do not follow this rule. 1 handed will go up faster hitting an enemy on legendary then they will on Novice.  Remember this when trying to balance your game.

Good luck.

Ah you're using ENB - if they said not to use the plugin's, then don't : )

And yeah! The other Unofficial Patches are worth getting : )
